Work Text:
“Sakusa Kiyoomi, you have been found guilty of murder, weapon trafficking, kidnapping, extortion, and blackmail. You are sentenced to perpetuity in Tokyo’s high-security prison.”
The judge slammed his hammer against his desk, and the court cheered. Atsumu knew he should be cheering. He should, but he can’t.
Sakusa Kiyoomi was the head alpha of the Sakusa clan, the oldest and most powerful clan in Japan. For decades, the police tried to arrest him and disassemble his clan. And that’s why five years ago, Atsumu started an undercover mission, the longest the Miyagi’s department had made.
Atsumu always thought his mind had been appeased. He knew his mission. He knew he had become closer to some beta and alpha and climbed the ranks of the organization, starting as a nobody to become Sakusa’s right-hand, only to arrest him.
Atsumu didn’t betray Sakusa; he only did his job.
So why now, as two police officers helped Sakusa stand, was Atsumu about to throw up?
It’s been a month since Sakusa’s arrest, and every night, Atsumu wakes up gasping for air, seeing Sakusa’s betrayed face every time he blinks.
Why can he not celebrate Sakusa’s sentence like his colleagues?
Probably because he knows that even if Kiyoomi is an alpha and ten years older than him, he’s been terrified of the dark and claustrophobic since his father locked him in a closet when he was eight, only because he made the mistake of being kind to an omega maid.
Also, probably because Atsumu knows Kiyoomi likes to drink tea and eat a nectarine, as it was his mother’s favorite fruit after a nightmare or when he had insomnia.
Perhaps because he knows Kiyoomi transferred a part of his money to his sister, Kyo, an alpha who married a civilian after their father kicked her out for dating an alpha woman. Kyo was living away from the clan; their father had personally erased every trace of her in the clan. It had been fortunate when Kenta, their older brother, died after an ambush trying to protect his mate, who unfortunately passed away, and their pup. Kyo had taken the pup’s custody, and the three of them were now living on a farm away from the city and the clan.
Kiyoomi loved and treasured his family, and after their father's passing, became the head alpha. He ensured that his sister, sister-in-law, nephew, and mother were safe and out of harm’s way.
Atsumu meets them. It was four years after the mission started and a month after he became Kiyoomi’s right-hand. Their mother was a kind, brilliant omega. Atsumu was sure that in another universe she would have befriended with his own mother. Kyo and her wife were kind too and loved the pup like their own. Kiyoomi adored his nephew, and it was funny and cute to see the head alpha of a yakuza clan playing tea time and sitting on a child's chair only to make a pup happy.
Atsumu’s eyes followed the two guards and couldn’t help but frown and clench his fist when they pushed Kiyoomi outside of the courtroom. They walked out in the direction of the armored truck for Kiyoomi’s final destination.
He noticed Kiyoomi was limping, probably because Daichi shot him in his leg when they arrested him.
As they walked toward the truck, Atsumu felt anxiety rise in him.
The month behind bars had aged Kiyoomi by a decade.
He looked so tired and undernourished. Powerless too. His hair was always well-styled, but now it was a mess. His curls were falling around his face, he looked even paler than normal, and he had dark purple circles under his eyes.
Two cops opened the truck’s door, and Kiyoomi entered and sat on the metallic bench. Atsumu was about to follow when Commissioner Foster called him.
“Atsumu, are you sure you want to do this?”
Atsumu nodded, “Ofa course, sir. It’s my job. I sign’ to put him behind bars, I wanta to be the one who brings him to his cell.”
He hoped Foster would believe his lie. Atsumu tried to act naturally because, in reality, he just wanted to spend ten minutes alone with Kiyoomi. He wanted to assure himself that he was okay, and he wanted to clarify a couple of things. Clear his conscience in a way.
But it wasn’t just about his conscience; it was also about freeing Kiyoomi.
Two days after Kiyoomi’s arrest, Atsumu, against his best judgment, meets Meian and Motoya. They built up a plan to free Kiyoomi, and to Meian’s surprise, Atsumu didn’t ask for anything in return. Kiyoomi’s happiness was enough for Atsumu. The plan was simple. He had a copy of the handcuff’s key in his pocket and was supposed to stay with Kiyoomi in the truck, and Meian was supposed to hurt him to keep him clean for his superior. They agreed on the leg, but Meian said it might target the head to punish Atsumu for his crimes. Betray Kiyoomi, abandoning the clan, those crimes were punished by death, and Atsumu knew in the back of his head that helping the clan to free Kiyoomi wouldn’t absolve his sins.
He was prepared for whatever punishment Meian chose.
The key burned in his pocket as Foster looked at him, but thankfully, Foster nodded, “Okay, son, but be careful.”
Atsumu smirked, “Ofa course, sir! See you in ten!”
Atsumu climbed into the truck and sat in front of Kiyoomi, and the two cops closed the doors. Two or maybe five minutes passed before the driver turned on the engine and started to drive to the prison.
He looked at Kiyoomi and was, for once, lost for words. He didn’t know where to start. He had always been weak for those dark eyes.
“So the accent wasn’t fake.”
His voice was deeper than normal, Atsumu noticed. Certainly, because Kiyoomi didn’t speak to anyone since the arrest, somehow, it broke Atsumu’s heart a little bit more.
“I didja not fake it.”
Kiyoomi nodded, “Should I call you Satoru or Atsumu?” but before Atsumu could answer, Kiyoomi continued and tilted his head, “I knew the pigs were desperate to arrest me, but I didn’t know they were that desperate. Did the academy teach you to open your legs to get information, or did you think about it yourself, Satoru?”
Atsumu felt tears pickling his eyes. “I didja not- ‘M not-”
“I trusted you.” Kiyoomi’s eyes darken as Atsumu feels his throat tighten, “I trusted you. And you lied to me. You played with me.”
“Omi please-”
“Shut up. You betrayed me. When you told me you loved me two months ago, a fucking week before that nightmare started, was it real? Did you mean it? Or Foster was whispering into your ear?”
“Real, it’s real.” Everything had been real. The kisses, the touch, the promises, everything. All the nights they spent together naked, simply covered by a blanket, and their limbs wrapped around their bodies, were real. All the days they spent side by side fighting against the world to protect their clan were real.
Atsumu felt tears rolling down his cheeks.
His memories began to flow through him, and his two lives collided in his mind. He remembered when five years ago, he told his brother, Kiyoomi was the most obnoxious prick he ever met, just like he remembered six months ago when they were in bed and Kiyoomi was kissing his inner thigh before eating his pussy out.
Atsumu never told anyone his second gender. He was proud to be an omega, but every time he told a colleague or a date, he could see in their eyes that he was suddenly not a person anymore, just a pussy. But Kiyoomi was different. He felt loved, treasured under his lips and fingers.
He remembered all the dates they shared in secret, not wanting anyone to think Atsumu slept his way to his position and was only Kiyoomi’s right-hand because of his hard work and his brilliant mind.
He remembered when he lied to Kiyoomi to meet Daichi or another cop. He remembered when he lied to Daichi or Foster, saying he had not advanced just to stay a little bit longer by Kiyoomi’s side, or not telling them Kiyoomi’s plan to ally with Nekoma and Fukurodani, or his family.
He remembered when he told Foster he couldn’t come to a monthly report because Kiyoomi needed him for a mission, when in reality Kiyoomi had been sick and Atsumu had stayed by his side the entire time, spoon-feeding him and giving him medicine. Kiyoomi had rewarded him two weeks later by turning Atsumu into a moaning, trembling mess on his desk while Kiyoomi ate his pussy like a starved man.
He remembered when, after sharing their first night together a year and a half after he arrived, Atsumu wished, begged the universe not to be a cop and spend the rest of his life with Kiyoomi.
When Atsumu started his mission five years ago, Foster had only given two orders. Come back alive and don’t attach. At the time, he had thought the latter would be easier, but now, in this truck, Atsumu would rather die than have Kiyoomi think he did not love him. That their love wasn’t real. That their dates at the national aquarium, picnic under the stars, or the afternoon spent in the hammock with Kiyoomi reading him stories hadn’t meant the world to Astumu.
That’s why Atsumu resiked everything, his life, his career, for him, for Kiyoomi. Because Atsumu loved Kiyoomi so much, he was ready to throw his world upside down, because Kiyoomi was more important and precious than anything.
“Omi-”
“Don’t you dare call me that.”
“Omi, I swear I love-”
Atsumu couldn’t finish his sentence because a loud explosion cut him off. The first cop’s car exploded, and the truck fell on the side. Atsumu tried to grab the key, but Kiyoomi jumped on him. They fought, and Atsumu managed to grab Kiyoomi’s face and kiss him.
The kiss wasn’t good. Too many teeth, and Kiyoomi bit his bottom lip enough to make it bleed, but Atsumu didn’t care. He only hoped Kiyoomi could feel his love and desperation. Atsumu passed his hand in Kiyoomi’s hair when another explosion could be heard, and the truck flew into the air. When they fell, Atsumu knocked his head against one of the truck’s walls.
Atsumu’s mind fell into darkness, and he only hoped Kiyoomi was okay and free.

Ten years later
Daichi entered his office and looked at his wooden board. He passed his hands over his face and rubbed his eyes. It’s been five years since he became a commissioner, and he still hasn't made any progress on that case.
Miya Atsumu.
Daichi sighed. Atsumu had been friends since they entered the police academy. They had been partners for the past sixteen years, and ten years ago, he disappeared. Given the circumstances, he was probably dead, but Daichi refused to believe it.
Fifteen years ago, Atsumu started an undercover mission. He entered the Sakusa clan, and his and the police station’s goal was to put Sakusa Kiyoomi, the head and alpha of the clan, behind bars.
And Atsumu had succeeded. It had taken him five years, but Atsumu, Daichi, and the rest of Miyagi’s police department had arrested Kiyoomi Sakusa. After the sentence was pronounced, Atsumu chose to get in the police truck that was supposed to transfer Sakusa from the court to prison, but the truck never arrived at the destination.
During the transfer, the truck had been attacked by Sakusa’s men, freeing Sakusa and kidnapping Atsumu.
Ten years later, there was still no trace of Miya Atsumu.
But tomorrow they will find one. Tomorrow was the first day of Operation: Bring the Fox Home.
Today, Daichi will bring Atsumu back home to his family.
Daichi looked at his watch. It was close to ten p.m., his husband Suga must have already fell asleep. He grabbed his jacket and phone and noticed his husband had sent him a goodnight text. He quickly replied and walked out of the commissary.
When Daichi became commissioner, Foster only said to him one thing, “Do things I couldn’t do. Please find him.”
He knew Foster had never recovered from losing Atsumu. The two men had searched every corner of Japan looking for their missing friend. One night, Foster confessed he didn’t have kids, but if he had a son, he would have wanted him to be like Atsumu. Daichi’s feet led him to a restaurant he knew well, probably too well.
Onigiri Miya.
He entered and waved at Cho, the waitress, and sat at his usual place at the bar. Osamu glanced at him. “The usual?”
Daichi nodded, “With a sake bottle.”
“Yeah, the usual.”
Daichi snorted. A part of him knew it wasn’t healthy. He was coming to see Osamu only because looking at him and talking to him felt like he was with Atsumu. But he knew, in an unhealthy way, Osamu was doing the same with him. Osamu kept asking for stories about Atsumu at the police academy or during the undercover mission. The Miya twin was starved for every glimpse of his brother. Osamu put a plate of onigiri and filled a bowl of sake. Daichi started to eat the fatty tuna onigiri, Atsumu’s favorite meal.
“They’re good.”
“Thank’” Osamu grabbed a glass and started to wash it. “Ya have a lead?”
“Not yet, but I have a plan.”
“A good plan?”
“He’s young, fresh out of the academy, nobody knows him yet.”
“So ya plan to throw a kid in the wolf den like Foster did with ma twin?”
Daichi swallowed. “It’s the only way-”
“He has a family? The kid?”
“Yeah.” Daichi had sent Hiroki home soon today to say goodbye to his parents; no one knew yet how long the mission would be.
“Then prepare yerself to tell his parents their kid died ‘cause of yer decision.”
“I want to find Atsumu.”
“And ya think I don’t?” Osamu shouted. He threw the glass on the ground, making Cho flinch. “Ya not the one who had to hold our ma sobbing. Ya not the one looking in strangers’ faces trying to finda him. Ya not the one desperately hoping that one day he will see my restaurant and pass the fuckin’ door. Why didja think I put our fuckin’ name on the fuckin’ storefront?”
Daichi bit his bottom lip so hard he started to feel iron in his mouth. He couldn’t tell Osamu he was doing the exact same. Trying to find Atsumu’s face in the street, hoping to hear his cheerful voice passing the police station’s door, crying in Suga’s arms. He couldn’t do that because if Daichi had lost his partner, Osamu had lost his twin brother .
“I’m sorry Osamu. I really am.”
Osamu snorted, but there was no trace of joy in it. “Right.”
A moment of silence passed, and Daichi continued eating. He could hear people on the street laughing, living their lives, while Daichi and Osamu had lost the most important person in their lives.
Daichi took a sip of sake, “I heard the restaurant on the fifth is closing.”
“Yeah, the Nohebi clan, those fuckers, increased the tax again. They couldn’t pay, so they chose to close before being killed.”
“What about you? Are you okay?”
Osamu sighed, “I told ya, no clan is blackmailin’ me.”
“It’s just, it’s weird, you can tell me, I can protect you-”
“Like ya protected ma brother?”
Daichi looked away and finished his bowl of sake.
“Sorry,” muttered Osamu, “It wasn’t fair.”
“It was, and you’re right.” Daichi paid up even if Osamu kept telling him it was on the house and put his coat on his shoulder, “I should go before Suga finally decides to throw me away.”
Osamu nodded and put the money in the cash register. Daichi was about to pass the door when Osamu called him, “I’m not bein’ blackmail, I fuckin’ swear. Nekoma and Fukurodani like to come and eat, but nothin’ more. Eight years ago, one of Nehobi’s members came and two hours later two members of another clan told me to forget it and I wonta be bothered again. Since that day, it’s like ‘m on the protect list of somethin’. Fuckin’ weird but not complainin’.”
Daichi frowned, “You know from which clan they were?”
“Nope, just said they took care of it.”
Daichi nodded. “Well, that’s good, goodnight, and say hi for me to Suna.”
“Will do, to the same to Suga.”
Daichi nodded and left the restaurant. He walked back to his home, where his precious, loving husband was waiting for him. As he walked, he thought of Osamu’s word. He knew he was throwing Hiroki in the wolf’s den, but it was his only chance. It was Atsumu’s only chance.

Five months later
Hiroki took a deep breath while looking at the building complex. He entered the police academy, listening to Atsumu’s glorious cases and victories against the Sakusa clan. He chose the Miyagi police department four years after Atsumu’s kidnapping with only one goal: finding Atsumu and bringing back his hero.
He still remembers when Hiroki was a kid, when Atsumu came to his school with his partner talking about their police careers, and how he decided to become a cop after suffering a career-ending injury in volleyball.
Atsumu was his hero, and Hiroki would save him. And when Atsumu is cleared, he will become Hiroki’s partner. Hiroki dreamed of Atsumu, a proud and powerful alpha like him, becoming his partner.
It’s been a year now since the undercover mission started. Hiroki had volunteered himself because even if the police department had lost hope, neither Hiroki nor Daichi had. The two men were sure Atsumu was still alive and captive somewhere, and today Hiroki will find him.
He met Sakusa only a couple of times. Since the ambush that freed him and kidnapped Atsumu, Sakusa rarely appeared in person and preferred to stay home. Rumors were circulating about a mate and pups, but Hiroki hadn’t learnt more. He considered kidnapping the mate or one of the pups to force Sakusa to release Atsumu, but Daichi objected to his plan. The commissioner didn’t want any civilians' or children’s blood on his hands.
Hiroki couldn’t understand the commissioner. Those filthy people weren’t more important than Atsumu. Hiroki was ready to kill one of Sakusa’s pups to make him suffer like he was suffering since Atsumu’s disappearance.
Today, the plan will take a major advance. Sakusa had left the complex earlier in the day with Motoya, his right-hand, to negotiate with Nekoma and Fukurodani. The Nekoma clan wanted the Aoba Johsai clan to join their alliance. Both Oikawa and Iwaizumi were also the police’s target, but right now Hiroki didn’t care. Because it meant he had a free way to Sakusa’s house, meaning Sakusa’s mate and pups were unprotected.
Yesterday, they had arrested Tomas, one of Saksua’s men, meaning there was a new vacant place for Hiroki.
He entered the complex and went to one of the dining rooms where half of Sakusa’s men were eating lunch. He sat next to Inunaki, Barnes, and Lizuna. The three men were talking about Tomas’s arrest.
Inunaki frowned, “It’s just fucking weird Tomas got arrested like out of the blue. And at his parents’ house, for fuck sake. Auntie must have been so scared.”
Barnes nodded, “Are they okay?”
Lizuna answered, “Yeah, Kiyoomi took them to a safe place, and he, Motoya, and Meian are building a plan to free Tomas.”Lizuna sighed, “Since boss is out of town, it was our turn to bring the groceries home today. Does anyone accompany me?”
Barnes shrugged, “Sorry, I can’t come, I promised Motoya to beat up two dirty cops.”
Inunaki was about to answer when Hiroki interrupted, “I can come and help you.”
Both Inunaki and Barnes narrowed their eyes, so Hiroki continued, “You need help, Tomas got arrested like an idiot, and you’re busy too today, Inunaki, right? So I can help.”
Lizuna slowly swallowed his bite, “You never came to Kiyoomi’s home, right?”
“No, but I showed myself as a valuable member, right?”
Hiroki felt a drop of sweat rolling down his spine. He had never been closer to his goal. He needed to find either Sakusa’s mate or pups or some proof of Atsumu’s living.
Lizuna nodded, “You did, but if you do something stupid, I will kill you,” and pointed his knife at Hiroki. The young cop knew he shouldn’t mess with Lizuna. The man adored taking his time to torture people.
“I won’t.” Hiroki smiled. He wasn’t going to mess up or do something stupid, only put Sakusa back in jail and bring Atsumu home.
— — —
Lizuna parked his car in front of Sakusa’s home. The home was protected by multiple armed guards whom Hiroki didn’t know. Lizuna grabbed the grocery bags from the trunk. Hiroki frowned, “I really don’t understand why we do that kind of job.”
“‘Cause it makes idiots like you talk. You don’t need to know everything, and be careful, asking dumb questions like you do could be suspicious.”
Hiroki pinched his lips. He didn’t mind bringing groceries because it gave him a free ticket to Sakusa’s home, but still, this was a job for stupid, useless omegas like the maids, not for an alpha like him.
They passed the security and walked to the kitchen. A couple of maids and servants walked around working, and Lizuna greeted a young omega man.
“Hiro, I present to you Megumi, he’s the one who rules the house and makes delicious meals.”
Megumi rolled his eyes, “Less flirting and more working, idiot alpha.”
Lizuna chuckled with a stupid smile on his face. “On my way, little blessing.”
Megumi slapped the back of his head and showed Hiroki an empty place. “You can put the groceries here, thank you.”
Hiroki frowned but put the bags where Megumi showed, “You shouldn’t talk like that to me or Lizuna. We’re trained alpha.”
For a second, Megumi froze and made a step closer to Lizuna. The alpha crossed his arms. “You know, ‘Gumi looks weak to you, but know he can kick my ass anytime he wants. He’s the one who trained me, Inunaki, and Barnes. Believe me, Gumi is stronger than you. Now go wait in the car.”
Hiroki felt humiliation burn his face. He nodded, and on his way out, he heard Megumi ask why Lizuna brought him and who Hiroki thought he was.
He was a trained alpha, thank you very much, and he was going to save Atsumu and put Sakusa and the rest of his pathetic clan in jail.
Instead of walking back to the car, Hiroki went in the opposite direction. He started walking around the house, visiting, looking for clues or Sakusa’s mate or one of their pups.
He entered the family wing, unaware that he triggered all of the silent alarms that warned Kiyoomi personally of an intrusion.
He walked across the different hallways when he heard it.
“The prince was thankfully rescued by his knight from the mean villagers. Unfortunately, one villager decided to follow to their home, unhappy of not possessing the prince anymore.”
That voice. Hiroki felt tears prickling his eyes. He had only heard that voice one time in real life years ago and later on video footage, but this time it was real.
Atsumu’s voice was smoother than before.
Hiroki started following the voice.
“The mean villager found the prince and the knight’s home and entered. His goal was to bring the prince back to the village. The villagers wanted to keep the prince to themselves, even if the prince wasn’t happy with them.”
Hiroki arrived at a room where the door was slightly open. He gently opened and couldn’t stop the gasp from escaping his lips.
Atsumu was alive.
He was sitting in a rocking chair holding two pups that looked like Sakusa’s twins. One pup looked like nine or ten years old, and the second pup looked around seven years old. He was reading them a book that he was resting on his pregnant belly. Atsumu had chubby cheeks, and his hair was a bit longer than the day he was kidnapped. He looked safe and healthy.
“The villager had succeeded in finding the prince, but thankfully-”
Atsumu looked up from his book, and his smile fell from his face. Instinctively, he brought the two pups closer to him.
“Who are ya?”
Hiroki showed his hands. “Everything is okay, Atsumu.”
Atsumu frowned, “How do ya know my name?”
“I’m a cop, I’m here to save you.”
“What?”
“Ten years ago, Sakusa kidnapped you, and I’m here to save you. It’s going to be okay.” Hiroki made a step toward the rocking chair, and Atsumu immediately stood up, making the book fall on the ground and taking a step back, holding the two pups.
“Stay away from me.” Atsumu made another step back. Hiroki saw panic in his eyes when his back touched a furniture. The pups whined again, and Atsumu tried to hide their faces and protect his belly at the time.
“Atsumu-” Hiroki tried to grab Atsumu’s wrist, making the two pups whine, and Atsumu kicked his hands.
“Dontcha ya dare touch me or my pups.”
“Atsumu, you need to listen to me. I can free you-”
“I’m free!” shouted Atsumu.
Hiroki felt panic rising in his body. Atsumu wasn’t cooperative, and soon Luzina will start searching for him.
“Atsumu, your brother and mother are waiting for you at home, and your colleagues at the police department, too. It’s going to be okay, I’m here. I’m going to free you, and you will stay with me. You need to follow me, I assure you, Sakusa will never hurt you again, just please, we need to leave now.”
Atsumu shook his head, “I don’t know ya. Leave now.”
Hiroki tried to smile, “It’s okay, it’s normal you don’t remember me, it’s been so long since we met, but it’s okay, I’m here now, I’m sorry I was so late. You’re safe.” He advanced, making Atsumu push himself further into the furniture and the wall.
“Please dontcha hurt my pups.”
Hiroki blacked, “They’re not yours pups, they’re Sakusa’s pups, but it’s okay, you won’t have to see them ever again. I’m going to dave you.”
The two pups started sobbing and clenched their grips around Atsumu’s neck. The eldest one tried to kick Hioki, but he grabbed his ankle, making Atsumu scream. “Dontcha touch him! Dontcha touch my pups, please don’t hurt them!”
Hiroki let out of the pup’s ankle and advanced. He was so close he could touch Atsumu’s face, and the youngest pups screamed at the top of her lungs, “Dada!”
Hiroki couldn’t stop thinking he was dreaming. He was so close to touching Atsumu, of achieving his goal. But then he screamed as he felt a horrible pain in his leg. He fell on the floor and looked behind him.
Sakusa was pointing his gun at him. Motoya, Meian, Lizuna, and Barnes were behind him. Sakusa’s eyes were dark, filled with hate. He put his gun in his back pocket while his men were still pointing Hiroki with their guns.
Sakusa walked quickly to Atsumu and took him in his arms, “Are you okay, beloved?”
Atsumu nodded as Sakusa wiped the tears from his face, “I didntcha hear him. He wanted to kidnap me. He tried to hurt our pups.”
Saksua quickly checked the two pups, “Are you both okay?”
The youngest one threw herself into Sakusa’s arms while the eldest kept firmly holding Atsumu, “The mean man tried to take Papa away.”
Sakusa brushed the pup’s dark curls, “It’s going to be okay, Dada is going to take care of him. For now, you, Tsubaki, and Papa are going to see the doctor to make sure you are all alright.” Sakusa looked back at Atsumu, “Do you feel any pain from the baby?”
Atsumu shook his head, his pretty eyes still filled with tears, “No, but the pups, the pups are still napping, what if he- he-”
Sakusa cupped Atsumu’s face, “Don’t worry. Inunaki and Megumi ran to their rooms as soon as I gave the alert. All of our pups are safe.”
Sakusa closed the gap and captured Atsumu’s lips. This was too much, Hiroki. How dare Sakusa use Atsumu as a nanny? How dare he touch him, talk to him, kiss him?
“Don’t you dare!” shouted Hiroki, “Don’t you dare touch him! Don’t worry, Atsumu, I will save you!”
Atsumu melted into Sakusa’s embrace and hid his face in the crook of his neck. “Please, Omi, alpha.”
“It’s okay, beloved.” He put a kiss on Atsumu’s blond hair. “Everything will be okay, you’re safe.” He scooped Atsumu and the two pups into his arms, “That means the stupid man won’t hurt you anymore.”
Hiroki tried to move, but Lizuna and Barnes kept him on the ground. “Atsumu!” Hiroki watched Sakusa walking away, holding Atsumu. “I’m going to save you!” Barnes smashed his face against the ground.
“I knew you were a little piece of shit, but a fucking pig? And tried to hurt Tsumu on top of that? The pups? Fucking disgusting.”
Barnes grabbed his hair to straighten it up his face, and Lizuna smirked, “I’m gonna take great pleasure in hurting you.”
— — —
Hiroki opened his eyes when he heard the door open. It’s been three days since he got captured. Three days of torture. He was missing some nails on his fingers and some toes, too. Lizuna took great pleasure in taking some teeth, too. His whole body hurt. Burned.
He was tired, starved. He even started to beg to kill him, but Lizuna simply laughed with Barnes, saying they weren’t done. Sakusa wasn’t done.
He looked up and saw Sakusa taking a chair and sitting in front of him. “You should be thankful, Atsumu, the baby and our pups are okay. Otherwise, this would be a dream.”
“I will fr-free At-Atsumu.”
Sakusa, that asshole, chuckled. “Atsumu is free. He can leave anytime he wants. He chose to stay.”
“You’re lying. You kidnapped him.”
Sakusa crossed his legs and his arms. “You want the whole story? The day my men free me, Atsumu knocked his head against one of the truck’s walls. I saw the beginning of bleeding. We took him because I wanted to be sure he was okay.”
“You kidnapped him.”
Sakusa began to smile, “I had a couple of questions to ask him, and I wanted my answers. Let’s just say that when I want something, I’m quite determined. Unfortunately, Atsumu fell into a coma for six months, and when he woke up, he didn’t remember a thing.”
Hiroki’s eyes widened, and he felt his face twist in horror, “He got amnesia.”
Sakusa smirked, “He doesn’t remember he was a cop. He doesn’t remember his mission. He doesn’t remember a single thing from before the accident. So I took care of him.”
“You lied to him.”
“That’s the thing. A year later, after the accident, when I was sure his mind was okay and he was okay, I told him everything. I told him he was a cop, I told him about the mission, and I told him about the betrayal. He was horrified and kept apologizing. He got better when I told him, with Meian and Motoya’s help, he had built up a plan to save me.”
“You-you’re lying.”
Sakusa chuckled, “You would love that, don’t you? You would love to know Atsumu was trapped and waiting for rescue, but the truth is two months after knowing the truth, Atsumu and I became mates, and nine months later we welcomed our first pup.”
Hiroki shook his head and shouted, “You’re lying! Atsumu is not a useless omega!”
Sakusa punched Hiroki so hard his vision went white. He grabbed his face so hard he knew Hiroki would have a bruise on his jaw. “You’re a disgusting alpha. Atsumu is an omega; he’s proud and strong. He doesn’t want to leave me or our pups. Do you truly believe Atsumu would have seven pups with somebody he didn’t love?”
“Seven?”
“You already met our two oldest, Reo and Tsubaki, nine and seven years old. Then there are our first pair of twins, who are five years old, and the second pair are three years old. Atsumu is pregnant with our seventh pup. And you’re lucky our younger pups weren’t there because Yuki and Kanoa are quite protective about their papa.” Sakusa chuckled, “One time the two pups started biting my hand simply because I asked their papa for a kiss.”
Hiroki felt tears filling his eyes, “You’re a monster.”
“You’re just jealous because Atsumu chose to live his life with me.” Sakusa let go of his jaw and smirked, “Now I’m going home to my beloved and my pups, while you will stay here until Lizuna is bored.”
Sakusa turned on his heels and started walking out when Hiroki spoke, “I will save Atsumu. I’ll bring him home. And you will never see him again.”
Sakusa turned his head and smirked, “Bold of you to assume you will even see the sun again,” and left the room. He walked past Lizuna, who was sharpening his knives. Sakusa spoke low, but Lizuna heard his boss loud and clear. “Make him suffer.”
Lizuna chuckled and nodded. He grabbed his knives and opened the door. “Rise and shine, pig!”
Sakusa walked out of the torture wing, smiling, hearing Hiroki’s screams.

When Kiyoomi arrived home, he went directly to the family wing. He went to the parental room and couldn’t help but let out a sigh of contentment.
“The villager had succeeded in finding the prince, but thankfully, the knight arrived. He defeated the mean villager and saved the prince and their children.”
Kiyoomi gently opened the door and leaned against the doorframe. His mate, his beloved, his Atsu, was in the middle of the nest surrounded by their pups. Reo and Tsubaki were snuggled up against him. Reo, their kind boy, was holding the book that Atsumu was reading. Yuki and Kanoa, their five-year-old twins, had their heads resting on their papa’s belly while Ayame and Mio were napping between their older siblings and papa.
“The knight took away the mean man and protected the prince and their children. The knight reassured them and swore to them to always protect them. The prince was happy to be with his knight and children and safe. They lived happily ever after.”
Reo closed the book, and the kids cheered. Tsubaki smiled, “It was such a pretty story Papa!”
Ryo sucked his thumb, “Can ya read an’ther story?”
Kiyoomi felt a smile bloom on his face. While Reo and Tsubaki were his twins, Yuki and Kanoa looked like Atsu’s carbon copy. Ayame and Mio both looked like a mixture of them. The twin girls had Atsumu’s nose and smile, while they had his eyes and moles. Aki had his curly hair, and Mio had his papa’s fluffy blond hair.
Tsubaki clapped, “Oh yes, Papa an’ther story, please!”
Funnily, all of their pups took his Atsu’s precious accent.
Reo shook his head, “Papa is tired, Tsu’, he needja ta rest.”
“I agree with your brother.”
Everyone peeked at him, and the pups jumped on him, “Dada!” Only Reo stayed by his papa’s side, making sure he was okay. Kiyoomi kissed everyone's cheeks and lay down on the bed. He took Atsumu in his arms and kissed his forehead and cheek. “‘M happy yer home.”
“Me too.” Kiyoomi kissed his mate, and they couldn’t help but chuckle when the pups made disgusted noises. Later, after they put the pups in bed, Atsumu and Kiyoomi found themselves together again in their bed. They melted into each other, and Atsumu buried his face in the crook of Kiyoomi’s neck.
“He’s gone, right?”
“He is.” Kiyoomi put a kiss on his forehead. “He will never disturb you again.”
“He scared me. He kept sayin’ ya kidnapped me and wanted to free me, but he’s wrong, right? I made a plan to save ya, and I got hurt in the truck on our way out.”
“You did, you saved me.” Kiyoomi brushed his hair, “I’m sorry you had to go through that.”
Atsumu frowned, “He talked about ma brother and ma, but I can’t see them ‘cause the cops will try to use them to separate us and our pups. The other clans, too. But they’re safe ‘cause ya protect them.”
“Exactly, my love. I’m sorry I haven’t been able to protect you.” Kiyoomi hugged his beloved carefully and brushed his hair while he brushed his thumb on his mate’s belly. “I’m sorry that asshole hurt you.”
Atsumu cupped his lover’s face, “Ya protected me, ya arrived in time and protected me and our pups.”
“I would have never been able to forgive myself if I hadn’t.” Kiyoomi smiled and kissed his mate’s fingers. “I’m glad I arrived on time, and I will always will.” He kissed his mate’s fingers, forehead, and lips. “Now rest, my beloved, you and our pup need to sleep.”
Kiyoomi watched Atsumu fall asleep and his chest rise and fall with a steady, calm breath. No one will try to separate them again. He didn’t care if he had to burn down the town. He will bring the pig’s head in a nice gift box for Comissionair Sawamura as a warning.
Nobody messes with his clan or his mate. Atsumu was his since the first second he laid his eyes on him and always will be.
