Nightwing: [ background noise — boots hitting gravel and a small thud ] The drop on you? Little Wing, what does that—?
Red Hood: [ background noise — motorcycle, hiss of pain, panting ] Got shot, uh, [ more panting, another hiss of pain ] Yep, in two places, I just checked, all good though. [ background noise — pedestrian chattering ]
Nightwing: [ sharp intake of breath, swearing under breath ] Hood, I swear — okay [ deep sigh ] ETA now?

Oracle [ static then crackle, worried ] I’m not busy. What is the situation, Nightwing?

Nightwing: Where’s Hood nearest safehouse? [ background noise — Red Hood gasps and swears loudly ] He was shot in the uh [ Red Hood groans, incoherent ] Scapula and torso.
Red Hood [ slurred, painful gasp ] Stop fucking — stop fucking poking me, Wing [ background noise — Nightwing muttering ] Not even a [ another groan ] bad injury.
Oracle: [ hums, typing ] Did either bullet exit? [ pause — four seconds ] He has a safehouse in Little Italy [ typing resumes ] By Luigi’s Pizza, I’ll send you the coordinates.
Nightwing: Uh, let me check. [ Red Hood groans and swears at Nightwing ] Torso one didn’t exit, scapula one did.
Red Hood: [ groans ] I’ll shoot you if you try and take me to the, ah fuck [ background noise — zipper ] What now?
Nightwing: [ silence — twelve seconds ] Major blood loss [ background noise — hiss of pain ; Red Hood ] Not going to attempt taking him to a hospital.
Oracle: [ exasperated sigh ] Okay. [ background noise — typing, brief chattering ] I’ll contact Leslie and tell her you’re on your way. I’ll give her a heads up on the injuries she’s going to be dealing with.
Nightwing: [ grunting, fabric moving, Red Hood muttering incoherently ] Thanks, O. [ background noise — Red Hood grunts ] Little wing, let me get you up, okay?
Red Hood: [ grumbles incoherently, fabric moving, boots against gravel ] Okay.

Nightwing: [ quiet ] We’re at Leslie’s. Hood is getting stitched. [ background — rustling, civilianstalking ] She’s not impressed, B’s going to get a stern talking to about the welfare of his sidekicks when he stops by next.
Oracle: [ amused ] I doubt Red Hood took well to being referred to as B’s sidekick.
Nightwing: [ laughs ] He wouldn’t have, except he’s concerningly out of it. Must be that blood loss. [ sighs ]
Oracle: [ typing ] That’s likely the case. [ pauses, five seconds ] I trust you can handle this? Batgirl is patrolling right now too, keep me updated on Hood’s status.
Nightwing: [ hums ] Yeah, I will. And say hi to Batgirl from me? [ background noise — Leslie speaking ] Okay, I owe you one, O. Gotta go.

Nightwing: [ kisses his teeth — radio — Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go, Wham! ] You just— [ sigh, acceleration being pressed against ] Yeah, okay, we can get pizza.
Red Hood: [ happy sound, fabric against leather ] My safehouse is just a 2 minute walk from it anyway. [ radio — Bridge Over Troubled Water, Simon & Garfunkel ] Should be no biggie.
Nightwing: [ breathes in deeply, radio — Bridge Over Troubled Water, Simon & Garfunkel ] You pretty much said that about your bullets and we know how that went [ offended noise from Red Hood, gentle brake noise ] It’ll be a thirty second drive instead, okay? For my peace of mind.
Red Hood: [ grumbles, radio — Bridge Over Troubled Water, Simon & Garfunkel ] Fine. [ pauses, six seconds ] But only for your peace of mind. If you try to take me to the Cave, I’m jumping out of this car.
Nightwing : [ pauses, three seconds, laughter ] I am not taking you to the Cave, who do you take me for? [ sighs, chuckles ] Besides I had an argument with Bruce earlier.
Red Hood [ hums, surprised ] About what?
Nightwing: [ radio — Africa, TOTO ] None of your business [ Red Hood swears ] Damian, Robin, you know, the, uh, the usual.

On June 13, 2025, at 11:07 PM, on the junction of Finnigan's in Diamond District, Gotham City, NJ, Jason Peter Todd became involved in an incident during a motorcycle ride. Witnesses [ Richard John Grayson ] reported that he swore excessively but stated that he was okay. Upon arriving at Richard John Grayson's location, two bullet wounds were detected; one in the torso and one in the scapula. Jason appeared to be pale, and on the verge of collapsing from blood loss. He was very agitated at Richard's concern and threatened to shoot him. Richard then enlisted the help of Barbara Gordon at 11:14 PM, who directed him to Leslie's Thompkins' clinic, where Jason received treatment. He was then advised to rest for the following week.
