"What in the bloody hell is that smoke?" Donna shouted.
"It's coming from the TARDIS!" the Doctor shouted back. "Get everyone clear and that means you too!" But Donna ignored him, which didn't surprise him in the least. "Oh, very well, let me go first."
"But what did you do this time?"
"It wasn't me! The smoke isn't coming from my TARDIS," he replied, pointing to the blue Police box in the corner of the yard. The one that had just arrived had smashed the table to pieces when it landed.
"So it must be him, then," Donna said.
"Yes."
The Doctor snapped his fingers and the new TARDIS's doors opened. Fortunately, there wasn't a blazing fire, which had been his fear. Instead, he saw the console room was dark, with barely any lights showing. He saw a body lying in front of the console.
"Donna! Help me!"
Donna ran to help. From what she could tell, the body was female. "Did your future self regenerate?"
"Looks like she did," the Doctor replied. "Still not ginger, though."
Donna huffed. "Is that important right now?"
"Not really!"
"Then let's get her into the house!"
The Doctor and Donna bent down and each grabbed an arm and hoisted the new arrival onto her feet. As the light shone on her, they could tell she was blond, but couldn't quite see her face yet.
It was only when they arrived in the guest bedroom and set the new Doctor on the bed that they saw her face. They both turned to each other, their eyes wide with shock.
"What?" the Doctor shouted.
"What?" Donna yelled.
"What?" they yelled in unison.
Regeneration energy escaped from the new Doctor's mouth. Her eyes were closed as she healed, but they didn't need to be open for the Doctor or Donna to recognize her. The new Doctor, somehow, had the face of Rose Tyler.
A minute later, she opened her face. Her eyes widened with surprise when she saw her younger self and Donna. "Well, this is awkward."
