RETROSPECT

Summary:

Description of what Six left at the Virginia compound for the CIA to find and how they learn about it.

Notes:

Hi! \^_^/ I hope you enjoy this!
Constant Preface: I don't have a beta, so I want to explicitly state that if you see ANY mistakes (i.e. to vs. too, there vs. their, an extra comma, etc. *no matter how small!*), give me the whole phrase for reference and what needs to be changed in it. There's nothing worse than when I see a mind-blowing sentence but my mind focuses on the ONE missspelling... ;)
Also, I drop a lot of Easter Eggs (they're marked with a *), and I credit them at the end in case you want to guess. Happy Hunting!

Work Text:

Suzanne and Carmichael learned of Six’s escape around the same time the guard replacements found their counterparts slaughtered and scattered across the Virginia compound. The two lying inside the gate house and the four who had been walking the perimeter had their necks broken or throats slashed, the five surrounding the home had been shot with a Glock 19—some multiple times—while headshots had taken out the final two inside.

They cleared the rest of the compound, hoping to find evidence to offer their CO, but all the bodies were cool, the home raided, and the perpetrator long gone with his prize.

Shit ,” Suzanne growled as she hung up the phone.

“What now?”

“Claire is gone.”

Carmichael sighed, but he couldn’t say he was surprised. “How?”

“Six eliminated the on-duty team. Surveillance cameras only spotted him once he was inside the house, and he and the girl stocked up on supplies before they left in one of our vehicles.”

“And here I thought Sierra agents were supposed to be discreet.”

“What are we going to do?”

We ?” Suzanne grit her teeth and glared. Carmichael’s mouth twisted in bitter acceptance. “Have the officers on site scrub the scene and dispose of the corpses. The car is easy enough to track.”

“He’ll just switch it,” she argued.

“Yes,” he dragged out condescendingly. “But it will give us a heading. Six knows he only has a few hours’ head start, and he can’t outrun us forever.”
