Goodbye hovers on his tongue. It’s the least that Neil deserves from him. There are so many more things to be said.
Andrew shuts his phone without leaving a voicemail. He drops his phone onto the counter and slips a knife out of its sheath.
Right before spring break during his fourth year at Palmetto, Andrew Minyard attempts suicide. Now everyone has to figure out how to move forward from here.

When the dark consumes you and nothing can hold you anymore, or so they say. But then you open your eyes and have to go again. This was good for all the times darkness gets heavy and needs to be felt. Beautiful writing, horrible topics but so so real. Lovely piece. Andrew attempts but Neil is there.
