Arlo was sitting in math class when an announcement was made: "All Royals come to the headmaster office. I repeat, all Royals come to the Headmasters office.", Arlo had no Idea what was going on. He did not like that under any cricumstances. If it was so important to summon all of the Royals into Vaughns office should he not gotten informed about the topic beforhand? Arlo was still the king so that should have happend. Or it was something random, which the headmaster also did not know about, that wold make it even worse. Arlo cannot prepare himself, the Royals, or even the whole school for something that he does not know about until it is to late.
Arlo really should stop with these negative thoughts. On the halfway point of the way to the office he ran into Serphina, whom gave him a questioning look. "Do you know why we have been called to Mr. Vaughns office?", even tho it was formulated as a queation it was more of a demand, Arlo needed to answer that. "No, I do not know why we have been called down there, while we are on this topic do you know where Remi is at?", the question was followed with a simple "No". The rest of the short walk to the headmasters office was spent in silence.
When the two of them reached the door to the office they found Remi waiting already there for them, her hair was slightly standing up, implying that she has used her ability to get here as fast as possible, even tho ther did not seem to be any need to be so fast. If there had been such a need the headmaster would have said something himself. Remi jumped up from the chair she was sitting in and went up to them with a bright smile. "There you two are! I almost had the feeling that I was late! So what is this about?", to that Seraphina answerd before he could even open his mouth, "We both do not know why we have all been called to the office.", before the conversation could continue the secretary told them that they should enter now.
In the office sat Vaughn at his table, on his right stood Keene, the head of security, he is often in the office so that was not much of a suprise, what was supriseing was that Darren, the school nurse, was to Vaughns left, these three were all known faces in the school staff so it must have something to do with some new staff, but why would the Royals be called to the headmasters office for that? Only after asking himself that question did Arlo focus on another figure in the room, a teenager whom must be around the same age as them, black hair, slightly shorter then Arlo himself, and golden-amber eyes. What stood out about him besides his eyes was the fact that he was not wearing the school uniform, how intresting.
Before a weird silence could start the black head mumbeld "So this are the famous Weellston Royals?", it sounded as if he was mocking them, but Arlo knew better then to be angry about `something like that´. Vaughn responded to what that guy had to say "Are they not what you expactet them to be, John?", a short moment later the person, now known as John mumbeled something inaudable to Arlo, what ever it was the headmaster startet to shuckle.
"Well John, this are our Royals, the king Arlo, the queen Seraphina and the jack Remi. Royals this is John, he will be starting as of next week, I am informing you about this so that you are aware that he is a new `member´ of the staff. John will help Darren out in the nursing office. He will not be participating in the schools heirachy, since he is not even a full on student.", the last part was clearly trageted at Arlo, but nobody said something about that.
The Royals took a moment to take that information in, but Arlo asked a question that all of them were intrested in, atleast he thaught so, "So, John, what is your ability?", the question got answered with a glare before a verbal response came. "I have a level 5.2 healing ability.", now that was intresting, Eliane had an 3.5 healing ability, with wich she could already heal nasty injuries, but a level 5.0 or higher heaaling ability? They are usually used in hospitals, some of them are cappable of g´regrowing fingers. What an intresting person, this still did not excuse the rude behavior to the Royals.
Before any more questions could be asked, Vaughn looked at his watch and said "I think you should go back to your classes...," Remi looked like she wanted to ask `who will show him around school grounds then?´, but the headmaster continute "Keene will show him around school grounds later today. So go back to your classes.". Arlo, Seraphina and Remi left the office after that.
Outside the office Remi said "He seems intrestin, no?", to which Arlo verbally agreed "He does seem intresting.", at this Remi looked at him bewildered. "Arlo intrested in some other thing then the heirachy?!", this annoyed the blond but he did not comment on that.
