Work Text:
Viktor barely lifts his head when he hears the lab door open. He keeps his eyes trained on the runic patterns presented before him, his goggles clogging his peripheral vision. He grunts, letting the newly entered person know he is aware of their presence. It was Sky, most probably. Viktor wouldn’t let himself get excited at the thought of Jayce being the one to enter. No, he wouldn’t. Not at all. When a word isn’t said, Viktor reluctantly pulls his hands away from the controls and pushes his goggles up to his forehead, pushing back his hair in one smooth motion. He turns and startles for a second. Standing before him wasn’t Sky, it wasn’t even Jayce.
“Viktor,” Mel’s voice is like silk, and it goes through him horribly. Like nails on a chalkboard. But that doesn’t stop it from being so alluring, Viktor finds himself absentmindedly leaning forward into it. Like a sailor to a siren.
He swallows deeply, letting his shock wash over him, “Miss Medarda,” he barely coughs out before he regains his composure, “I’m afraid Jayce isn’t here, he left a few hours ago,”
She eyes him down, an unrecognisable spark present in her gold eyes. She saunters over to him, leaning against the table and tilting her head up. The gold embedded in her skin shines against the harsh blue of the hexcore. It’s bedazzling, enchanting; Viktor isn’t at all surprised by Jayce’s instant connection with her. She was ethereal, Viktor could admit. Did that mean he had to grovel at her knees? He may not be as strong as Jayce in other fields, but he was miles farther in this one. His eyebrow twitches as she turns her head slightly to look at him.
“I’m aware,” She says, with her disgustingly smooth voice, “I’m here for you,”
Viktor's eyebrows lean into his eyes, creasing his skin, “W… me?”
Mel’s hands move, clasping at a stationary coin that lay on the table. She twirls it in her long fingers, swaying it back and forth between the digits. Did she always have to be so goddamn enchanting?
“You heard right,” She licks her lips, placing the coin back down and pushing herself forward off of the table ledge, “well, it’s about Jayce,”
Viktor huffs, pulling his goggles off his forehead and placing them on the table, “I’m afraid I’m not very interested in playing relationship Councillor, Miss Medarda.”
She shakes her head, clasping her hands to her chest, her eyes roaming around the room interestingly before landing on Viktor's, “haha,” she fake laughs, “funny, but not what I’m after,”
Viktor leans into his chair, reaching for his cane. His hand clenches around the smooth metal, the coldness of it welcoming; calming, almost.
“Then what will it be, Councillor?”
“I know,” She says bluntly.
Viktor raises an eyebrow, “know what?”
“You and Jayce,” She continues, moving to him ever so slowly, “or, more specifically, you and your heart-wrenching feelings for Jayce,”
Viktor’s heart catches in his throat, and the feel of his cane suddenly dampens with the cold sweat of his hand. He tries to speak instantly, but his throat is caught in a hefty cough. His eyebrows twitch. He recovers after a few seconds despite the horrible beating of his heart not being any closer to decelerating.
“I’m sorry—my what? ” He barely gets out. He suddenly recalls why he really does not like Mel.
“Don’t act coy,” Mel insists, “Pretty sure everyone’s aware of it—well, everyone but the man himself,”
Viktor's babbling, his words come out rushed and nonsensical, and he gives in on explaining any further. He twists his eyes shut into tiny little slits, wrinkling his forehead. He brings a hand to his temple and sighs, deep and guttural. He looks up to a satisfied Mel.
“What do you want from me?” He asks eventually. And he’s embarrassed by how pathetic he sounds. So much for holding his ground, he’s fallen right into her trap. She’s too good, too experienced at these kinds of mind games; he can’t hold his own, “Grovel in your victory with him, you deserve it.” And he almost says, ‘he deserves someone like you’. Someone to keep him warm at night, to comfort him, to love him. But it hurts, too much to say aloud.
It’s sudden when it happens: Mel walks up to him, her hips swaying and an odd grin on her face. She looks down at him. She brings a finger to his chin; it’s soft, softer than his own, softer than Jayce’s. She barely has to move her hand to get him to look up at her.
“Viktor,” His name falls off her lips so softly, “I wouldn’t care, really, if these feelings were only one-sided,”
Viktor’s eyes widen, “But they are not, which is exactly the reason I am here,” Mel finishes.
Viktor eyes just trace Mel’s features. No. This was just another of her games. She was winding him into her web like she’d do with anyone. There was no way she was telling the truth. Viktor bites his lips softly and lets his gaze falter and fall to the floor, cold sweat dribbling down his temple.
“You—What—This is… this is ridiculous,” he stumbles, muttering before gripping onto his cane and standing up haphazardly. Mel takes a step back, bringing a hand up to help him before he quickly knocks it back. He eyes her up through his eyebrows, surprised to see a slight bit of clear offence in her face. “I promise, Viktor, I wouldn’t lie about this. Despite how ridiculous it seems, it’s the plain truth,” She says.
“It’s enough, Councillor,” He mumbles, eyeing the door, “I’ve places to be,”
Mel chuckles, “Really? Like where?”
Viktor’s eyebrows cross, “I… ehhh … to bed?”
Mel shakes her head, “Let’s be adults about this, shall we?” She sits back on the desk, crossing her long legs as she does so. Viktor lets his eyes wander across them, swallowing tightly as he meets her eyes again. There was something new in them. Something he only saw when she looked at Jayce. Or when Jayce looked at him.
He stumbles closer to her, pinching his lips into a thin line, “What is it you want, exactly, Miss Medarda?”
“As much as I appreciate your punctuality, you don’t have to keep calling me that,”
“What?”
“Just Mel is fine,” She leans forward, resting her chin on her hand, her golden eyes clear through the flush of thick eyelashes.
He swallows again, licking his lips slowly as if to buy him more time before the atmosphere begins to grow tense with silence again, “Right, then… Mel, what is it?”
“You,” She states plainly.
“Me?” He repeats, and she nods, “Me… Mel, you said this was about Jayce, do you have to keep acting so cryptid?”
Mel laughs again, lifting her head off her chin and leaning back onto the desk, her arms splayed out behind her to keep her posture upright, “Viktor, it’s clear what I want, and yes, this is about Jayce,” She continues, “ It’s about what he wants, too. And it’s clear what he wants is you,”
Viktor shakes his head rapidly, his other hand coming up to steady his cane under his arm, “Mel—what are you saying?”
“I want to make a proposition, Viktor,” Mel licks her lips, and her legs move ever so slightly that her dress moves up her thighs. Viktor quickly averts his eyes, “Would you like to join me and Jayce?”
Viktor’s mind goes blank. His lips part, but he doesn’t speak, his legs shake, and he fears he may fall over if he doesn’t continue to grip hard at his cane. The words repeat in his head non-stop, and it takes him a few seconds to even understand what Mel is asking him.
“Mel…” His voice is tight, like a small squeak, “This is… this is extremely unprofessional,”
“Please,” She tilts her head, “that’s not what your biggest concern is,”
He looks at her, his lip twitching, “What do you gain out of this? ” he begins to limp closer to her, stopping as she uncrosses her legs when he comes to stand just before her, “ you don’t seem like the particular type to share your… your toys,”
Mel falters, her eye twitching with his usage of words, “No, I don’t.” Her voice is low, different from the usual light voice she uses to the public. It’s almost as if she’s letting down her walls, exposing the real person that hid under her desperation to keep up public appearances, “unless… it’s you, Viktor. I’ve seen how Jayce looks at you, how infatuated with you he is. I fucking hate it. But, I look at the bright side, at least you're the one he's infatuated with.”
Viktor leans in closer, “Hm? And what exactly does that mean, Councillor?”
Mel smirks, her hand now running up his chest lightly. It stops as she meets his tie, she fingers it for a second; fidgeting with the fabric before she grips it, using it as an anchor to pull him forward ever so slightly. He holds tighter onto his cane, his other hand coming to the desk to support his weight being pulled down. It’s only then he notices he has Mel locked into the desk, and their lips are only centimetres away from each other. His face burns.
“We can share him,” She murmurs, her fingers toying with his tie, “But, I feel as though we must grow our… chemistry with one another to figure out what it is, exactly, Jayce desires so much,”
Viktor can’t say anything. Everything inside him burns, sweltering heat coursing through his body. He prayed to the Gods that Mel didn’t look down at that exact moment.
Mel is the one who leans forward and connects their lips. Viktor just whines against her, his cane dropping as he grips both ends of the desk to maintain himself upwards. It helps when one of Mel’s hands comes to hold his waist, keeping him upright as she moves further into his lips. A hand slithers up his neck before it comes to rest on his cheek. Mel licks against him, making the flaring heat inside his chest all the more rampant. He’s sick with need. Need for her touch, the feel of her lips, everything about her. Gods, did he understand Jayce now. It’s not long before her tongue pushes past the barrier of his lips, slipping inside him as he moans pathetically against her. The hand on his waist tightens as she groans into him, the heat of his body basically steaming off of him.
They disconnect, Mel’s eyes are wide, and her face is flushed. He just gapes at her, his mouth slightly open as he stares in awe. She then smiles, and another fresh wave of heat flushes throughout Viktor. He tries to speak but instead just lets out a weird ‘er’ sound as he tries to pronounce any word. He pinches his mouth shut.
“Hmph,” She brings a thumb to her lips, fixing her smudged lipstick, “well, someone’s excited.”
Her eyes drag across his body and flicker down to his crotch. His face is immediately speckled with bright red.
“You…” He begins, ashamed at how easily Mel turned him on.
“Don’t be embarrassed,” Mel whispers in a sultry tone, “I find it endearing,”
“Is that so?” He replies, Mel’s voice making his cock strain harder against his pants.
She hums and brings him back up to her lips as her hand moves farther down. He sinks into it, letting her take what she needs from him as her lips move softly against him. She's intoxicating, the way she works him, her hand pressing up against him in all the right areas. He jumps slightly as she rests it at his crotch, and groans against her as she trails a finger up and down his prominent bulge. He stops his hips from bucking forward desperately, the sweat of his hands making it harder to keep himself upright against the desk. Mel notices this, and slips off the table; smooth and easily. Viktor is startled for a second, nearly flopping onto the floor, until Mel grabs his hips and switches their place fluidly. Viktor is whirled around and swiftly finds himself placed where Mel just was, sitting back on the desk with Mel grinning between his knees. He flushes a bright red, mumbling something under his breath before Mel connects them once more; smiling against his lips.
Here, Mel finds a better vantage point on his crotch, kneading a soft hand against his bulge as he whines against her. It twitches erratically against her hand, and she laughs again; making Viktor groan even louder as more heat drops to the pit of his stomach. They part with spit still connecting them, and Viktor can barely get a word out before Mel’s unbuttoning his pants, dragging them down his legs. He bites his lip, his head dizzy with heat and thoughts he could never say aloud. His cock is hard against his underwear, pre-cum wetting the fabric. His heart’s racing, clashing against his chest in a horrible manner. Mel looks up at him, and—fuck, the eyes she gives him alone are enough to make him come right then and there. She pushes her hand against his cock, and he growls and bucks his hips into it.
“Viktor—oh my gods,” She breathes against him, a hand still clasped to his waist.
He breathes haphazardly, panting at irregular intervals. All he needs is Mel’s touch, her hand firm against him. He chases her lips, but she pushes him back with an easy hand against his chest. “Eager, are we?” She teases.
He grumbles, “Mel—just, mgh, just take them off,” his moans are so high, so light and airy he’s almost embarrassed. But Mel seems pleased enough and pulls his underwear down with a quick hand. She bites her lip softly at the sight of his cock, hard and leaking at the tip. Smoothly, she brings a hand to the tip, thumbing against it and grinning as Viktor lets out another array of whimpers. She continues to stroke his head, before moving her hand up and down in a slow, teasing manner. Viktor gasps, the knot in his stomach twisting tightly. He moves against her, desperately urging her hand to move faster against his length. But she doesn’t give in, languidly stroking him as he whines against her skin. She kisses his lips chastely, softly, so quick Viktor wasn't even aware she had done it. It was too sweet for the situation, too soft, domestic. But that’s what Mel was best at, being her different self.
“Mel—quicker, please,” He manages to say, his voice spiking as she moved slightly faster against his cock; swiping at his red hot head.
She chuckles—that brilliant, sexy chuckle and looks at him through heavily lidded eyes, “You’re cute when you’re begging, Viktor,”
Viktor’s annoyance quickly drowns out to pleasure as she juts her hand up around him suddenly, ripping a deep moan from him.
She kisses the edge of his mouth, “Are you close?”
“So, so… so close,” He breathes, his hands coming to grip the edge of the table; so tightly his knuckles turn a pale white.
“Mhm, good, so good for me,” She murmurs, almost to herself, before increasing the speed of her hand.
He whines again, hips jutting against her as the heat in his stomach swelled vigorously. Mel continued to pump against him and, despite his efforts to fuck her hand faster and faster, she continued with a constant speed. The knot grew tighter and tighter, and Viktor’s mind went blank as Mel whispered in his ear.
“Come for me, Viktor,”
His entire world turns white, his hips flailing forward clumsily as his cock twitched with his sporadic release. His eyes roll to the back of his head as Mel whispers something into him, his hips stopping in a forward position as she continues to move against his cock. His entire body is twitching, his cock especially. He almost falls backwards into the table but Mel holds him upward. She’s grinning, like a child on Christmas day, kissing above his lip where his mole just happened to be. His euphoria washes away after a few long seconds and his entire face glows with red embarrassment, realising what he had just done. He had just let the girlfriend of the man he’s been in love with for years give him the best handjob he’s ever received. It’s almost like Mel can read his thoughts.
“Don’t worry about Jayce,” She says simply and picks up Viktor's discarded clothes and pushes them to his chest. Her hand lingers, and Viktor stiffens. He warily grabs them, his breathing not slowing.
“I… I wasn’t… this was…” He pants in between his words and, gods, he sounds like a teenager having his first orgasm.
“Was it okay?” She asks.
“Councillor… this was extremely…” Viktor sighs deeply, “Jayce… was… was what you said true?”
Mel is fixing her hair, thumbing at her smudged lipstick, “would I lie to you Viktor?”
“Eh, probably,”
She giggles, “Well, tomorrow, I’ll come back to the lab, and you can find out for yourself.”
Viktor’s stuck in place, and Mel smiles and kisses his lips lightly before turning and leaving the room like nothing ever happened. Viktor is left, pantless and utterly drained. He’d be sleeping at the lab again tonight, but not for his usual reasons.
