Code: Total Drama Reality

Chapter 51: Episode 51: Sparkling Vampires

Summary:

As if there was not enough the Lyoko Warriors had to worry about with their secret being endangered, XANA launches another attack, this time inspired by the horror film genre...

Chapter Text

(Code Total Drama Reality Introduction Song Starts)

(This Game (From 'No Game No Life'))

The intro begins with the sun rising over the city of Paris, before the camera angles down on Kadic Academy. Stepping into view is Aelita, standing at the school gates as she looks up and watches as dark clouds suddenly cover the sky. Her eyes widen as she suddenly morphs into her Lyoko form, energy fields appearing in her hands.

William appears next, a dark copy of him, resembling his Lyoko form as a warrior of XANA appearing behind him, both clashing their swords, causing a flash of light as the title appears:

CODE: TOTAL DRAMA REALITY

(I never wanted to be)

One by one, the TD Lyoko Warriors appear with her as they are surrounded by the monsters of XANA.

(Another gear in that corrupted world's machine)

A giant bird appears above the city, letting out a loud screech.

(All my life felt like a dream)

One by one, the Lyoko Warriors enter the scanners and the doors closed, a ring of light traveling up their bodies as the camera shows and alternates each Lyoko Warrior before they vanish in a flash of light.

(I was never who I really wanted me to be)

Vehicles resembling a hovercraft, a board, a motorcycle appear with new vehicles resembling a sled and a hoverbike with a jet engine appears, carrying the Lyoko Warriors off as they are surrounded by monsters that begin shooting lasers at them.

(But then God shattered that dream's cage)

Four towers, each in a separate sector begins to glow red with monsters and an armored figure leading the monsters. Aelita lands on the platform and places her hand on the screen.

(And rose me up to a new stage)

The Total Drama contestants founds themselves back in the studio, their fellow contestants gathered with them as Chris laughs

(Cut it away like a sharp knife)

He gestures to the screens, showing them all in challenges…

(No, no, No Game No Life)

With each of them suffering a variety of misfortunes: Gwen vomits on Duncan, a soccer ball explodes in Bridgette's face, Geoff yells as a missile chases after him.

(Now suddenly there's a new twist)

Geoff's yelling suddenly stops and he changes into his Lyoko form, brandishing his weapons that cut the missile in half, causing the two pieces to fly past Geoff and explodes behind him.

(A reason to really exist)

One by one, the TD Lyoko Warriors assume their Lyoko forms and battle down various monsters, some of them belonging to XANA and some are different but dangerous.

(I wanna breathe in the fame)

From legions of monsters, comes Men in Black, giant spaceships aiming their cannons down on the bewildered Lyoko Warriors.

(As this whole new world cheers my name)

The camera zooms in on the lead space ship as it prepares to fire.

(I'll never leave it to fate)

One by one, the TD Lyoko Warriors are shown running through the streets of France, the sky darkening and the Eye of XANA appearing on every monitor they pass.

(And when I see a chance I'll pave the way)

They reach the factory, sliding down the ropes and reaching the elevator.

(I'll call checkmate)

The elevator reaches the scanner room, Aelita and William waiting for them.

(This is the time to breakthrough)

The Lyoko Warriors then gather before a scanner, the camera facing them inside with the group staring at it critically. A hand reaches up, giving them a thumbs-up before the scanner doors close.

(So I'll rewrite the story and I'll finally change all the rules)

The Lyoko Warriors are now gathered in the Forest Sector of Lyoko, suddenly separated by a crescent shaped wave of red energy and out of the flames emerges a humanoid warrior in dark armor, their face covered by a horned helmet and the Eye of XANA on its chest and forehead.

(We are MAVERICK)

William charges forward, his large sword clashing against the equally sized weapon of Shadow, both glaring hatefully at each other.

(We won't give in until we win this game)

Both disappear into white and black smoke before we then see Bridgette in the Ice Sector, battling a giant monster resembling a polar bear.

(Though I don't know what tomorrow holds)

The monster is about to cut Bridgette down with its claws before a blast of pure lightning blasts it to pieces.

(I'll make a bet and play my cards to win this game)

The origin of the attack is revealed to be Geoff, holding a giant axe instead of his chakrams as he charges forward to help Bridgette, a look of determination replacing his normal carefree smile.

(Unlike the rest I'll do my best)

A pair of Wasps are shown chasing Dawn who is on the Overwing before Gwen shoots up, her cape morphing into bat like wings as she slashes through the Wasps with her scythe.

(And I won't ever lose)

A pair of Krabs fire on her but DJ's barrier saves her before Cameron flies down and blasts the Krabs with his arm cannons.

(To give up this chance would be a deadly sin)

LeShawna is then staring up at the hulking form of the Kolossus as it approaches her.

(So let's bet it all)

Gripping her hammer tightly, LeShawna charges to meet the biggest of XANA's monsters head on.

(I put all my faith in us)

Aelita is then shown in a red version of Sector 5, turning to glare at the Avatar of XANA who smirks back at her.

(So let the games begin)

Aelita readies her energy field and charges at XANA who summons his own sword, clashing with Aelita's energy fields. Pink and red energy erupt from their clash, covering the screen in white before changing to a black screen with blue lines of coding filling it and the title appearing on last time:

CODE: TOTAL DRAMA REALITY

(This Game (From 'No Game No Life') Ends)

Episode 51: Sparkling Vampire

"Oh boy. Oh boy. Oh boy."

This was all DJ could say as he nervously paced back and forth in his room with Cody, Harold and Sam watching him.

"Is he okay?" Sam whispered.

"I think he's stuck in a loop." Harold whispered back. "Very understandable when confronted by alarming information."

Cody cleared his throat. "Uh…DJ?"

DJ stopped…and spun around. "You went to the factory…found the supercomputer…and went to Lyoko…All three of you?!"

"I mean…yeah." Cody shrugged helplessly with a nervous smile on his face.

"And you got devirtualized…"

"Yeah." Harold nodded.

"And…you think Izzy and Owen followed you…" DJ continued, his face still amazingly blank.

"It would explain the door." Sam offered.

"And Noah knows?!" DJ gaped.

"Actually, Noah decided to stay out of it. I mean, he knows about the sneaking out part and that XANA is kind of the name of the Red-Eye virus but aside from that, he never asked…or bothered to find out more." Cody explained.

"And Sierra knows?!"

"I don't think so. I mean she followed you that one night, but she got busted and if she knew about the supercomputer, I am sure everyone would have known a week ago." Cody weakly chuckled.

"Oh…" DJ stumbled back. "Oh boy."

"DJ, you might want to sit down." Harold offered.

"No, I need to fold everyone's laundry, that's what I need! That's the only way I can calm myself after this bombshell!" DJ shook his head. "We were trying to keep this secret from everyone because it's too dangerous. You guys cannot be part of this."

"Well, it's kind of too late for that, DJ." Cody replied. "I mean, okay we went behind your backs, tracking our friend's phones but maybe we can help."

"Cody." DJ leaned forward, with an intense look on his face. "This is bigger than you think. It's much bigger. If this secret is leaked out, Sierra posting it and Chris kicking us off the show will be the least of our problems."

Cody blinked while Harold and Sam exchanged glances.

"You guys not only virtualized yourselves, but you put yourselves on XANA's radar. He'll be coming for you, and he'll try to kill you." DJ continued. "This won't be like any of the challenges on Total Drama…Well, they might come close since I pretty sure Chris won't rest until he does kill someone but that is beside the point! Actually, XANA trying to kill you is the best-case scenario here!"

"How is trying to kill us the best-case scenario?" Harold asked.

"Because it's better than being his puppet." DJ answered, surprising the three. "He'll turn you into his own warriors like he's done before." He stepped back, rubbing his face. "Oh man…I really wanted a break from this."

Unfortunately for DJ, XANA was about to make things worse.

Wires pulsed red along the Desert Sector of Lyoko, reaching a tower, its aura turning from blue to red.

The screen of Cody's laptop suddenly went black…before the familiar red Eye appeared on the screen.

Cody noticed this, eyes widening. "Uh…DJ?"

"Between the show and Lyoko, I have been at my wit's end here." DJ sighed. "And I don't even want to picture what the others will say when they find out."

Cody's laptop began to sparkle…

"DJ?"

Legs sprouted from the bottom of the laptop, allowing it to stand. Wires slithered out of the keyboard…

"Cody, you better hope Gwen is understanding because tracking her phone is…Well, it's not as creepy as the bikini shot you took with her while she was sleeping but-"

"DJ!" Cody, Sam and Harold shouted.

"What?!"

"The laptop!" The three pointed behind him.

DJ turned around, eyes widening. "Oh fu-"

(XANA Attack Theme Starts)

The laptop leapt at DJ, arms and wires wrapping around his arms and pinning them as pincers sprouted from the mouse pad and bit into DJ's neck.

"GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" DJ screamed.

"DJ!" Cody, Harold and Sam rushed over, trying to pry Cody's infected laptop off the gentle giant.

It broke off and scuttled to the door, breaking through it.

DJ gasped, grasping at his neck. "Felt like a snake bit."

"What was that?" Sam asked with widened eyes.

"XANA." DJ grunted as he sat up. "He took over your laptop, turned it into a little monster."

"How'd it do that?" Harold asked. "I get the whole Red-Virus thing but how does a program turn a laptop into a monster?"

"XANA's not an ordinary program." DJ rubbed his neck, groaning. "He's probably activated a tower."

"A tower?" Cody asked.

"The towers on Lyoko. They're how XANA launches an attack in the real world." DJ was panting now. "We've been working with a friend we met here after the Red-Eye virus. She shuts down the tower and stops the attacks, but she needs help."

"That's what you guys have been doing?" Cody asked, leaning down.

"XANA's dangerous, too dangerous to be handled alone." DJ groaned, clutching the bite wounds on his neck. "We help to get her to the tower to stop the attack and XANA knows that…That's why he's attacking us here. He'll send that laptop after the others."

Cody, Harold and Sam all exchanged nervous looks.

"Will someone tell DJ to keep it down?!" Heather shouted from her room.

Not like she expected anyone to answer her.

Heather was on her bed watching the DVD she had put on. It was of the final episode of Total Drama World Tour.

"Admit it; you're in love with me." Alejandro stated with a smile.

What? I don't love you, I love-!" Heather blurted out accidently.

Cody, Beth, and Owen gasped while Noah shrugged not at all surprised by Heather's confession.

"Er, hate! I mean I hate you." Heather tried miserably to cover up her mistake.

"I know what you meant. And I must confess, at first my intentions were purely strategic." Alejandro said.

"Can the confessing wait? Kind of on a schedule here, bro." Chris asked impatiently.

"That is no longer the case." Alejandro smiling at Heather grabbing her arms.

He pulled her towards him. "Because you . . . You have stolen my heart."

"Oh, that is so beautiful." Owen said wiping away a tear.

"Even if it's Heather." Sadie agreed, smiling.

Our connection goes deeper than any game. Together we can take over the world." Alejandro continued.

"Wow... I suppose I may actually feel a... a little something." Heather blushed.

"Mi amor..." Alejandro leaning in and kissing her.

"Ew!" Nearly everyone said.

Then Heather closed her eyes and kneed Alejandro in the groin. He fell onto a giant ice cube.

"A little something called victory!" Heather shouted with her arms in the air.

Heather slapped the ice cube sending it down the mountain.

"So long, sucker!"

"NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" Alejandro screamed.

Everyone cheered at her for taking down Alejandro.

"Nice! It's about time someone took 'La Cucaracha' down!" Duncan said.

"Yeah, boys are okay. But a million dollars is way better." Heather said smiling as she threw her sacrifice into the volcano.

"YES. Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes." She chanted jumping up and down.

Heather smiled at that. She finally had it. After three agonizing seasons she had the money in her grasp . . . Only to lose it to a home school zombified Ezekiel.

How could it have gone so wrong?

And then there was last season.

"I was robbed." She said and turned away. "I deserve that money."

"You mean my money." The newbie got up and rushed her, grabbing the case.

They both struggled for the case of money, but Lightning suddenly stopped. "Heather, head's up! Behind you!"

Heather however, only laughed. "Do you expect me to-"

Lightning screamed and ran.

"-for your pathetic little diver-" Heather turned and saw a rocket flying right at her and screamed. "AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!"

The rocket crashed into the cockpit and exploded. Heather screamed as she was knocked back, slamming into the wall and falling to the ground. It didn't end there as the flames scorched her skin and burned her newly grown hair. She screamed in pain, rolling along the floor as the blimp angled downwards.

She looked up in time to see the blimp crash into the water…

Now here she was. Injured with burns all over her right arm and leg from being partially hit by a rocket of all things, burning her hair away after a year of waiting for it to grow back. The burns were bad enough that her arms and legs had to be wrapped in bandages. She had been slammed into the back of the blimp and almost drowned when it sank into the lank.

She should have been dead, but Chris's interns fished her out and took her to the hospital. She had suffered broken bones, third degree burns and her lungs and stomach had been filled with water. She had actually been in a coma for about three weeks before she woke up. Needless to say, she had to spend the next eight months recovering before she had been dragged back onto the show.

Her parents had actually pleaded for her not to go, saying it was dangerous in her current state but she accepted, even if it was mandatory for her to come back to the show. She didn't want to give Chris, Alejandro or anyone the satisfaction of backing out.

She then watched as Alejandro was trampled by her and the others and then burned.

He was on an operating table with his kin charred, most of his hair gone, his limbs crushed, twisted, and mangled. Heather had to hold back the urge to cry at his condition. Chris and Chef worked on placing him in the Drama Machine because in his condition he was not able to move. She watched as what was left of his face was covered with a face plate.

"Al? Can you hear me? We're gonna need you to sign some paperwork that legally absolves the show of your little lava accident." Chris said holding up some paper.

"Chris. The million dollars. Is it safe?" asked Alejandro from inside the robot.

"Uh, yeah. Seems the million dollars fell into the volcano. It's gone."

"NOOOOOOOOOOO!" Alejandro yelled.

"Heheh. Spaz."

Heather turned off the TV. She couldn't bear to see anymore. Sure, she had lied, cheated, manipulated people for money but she never wanted to that to the one boy who would have actually liked her for she was. She lost both him and the money.

She remembered them meeting again before coming to France.

(Flashback)

Heather looked to see the Drama Machine rolled onto the plane by Chris and Chef.

"Well, good news. Everyone is able to attend, even if some are not mint condition." Chris chuckled, his commented directed to her and Scott.

"Who's that and where is Alejandro?" Heather asked, looking at the Drama Machine.

"This is Alejandro." Chris said.

"Nice to know you care, Heather." The robot said.

Heather's eyes widened in shock at this.

"We couldn't get him to real hospital with the way season three ended so we had him put in the Drama Machine so he can move without injuring himself. We also got him to sign the papers to absolve the show of being burned by lava." Chris said with his usual arrogant smirk.

He walked out leaving Alejandro with them as the plane was about to take off. Everyone was silent as they watched Heather and Alejandro.

"Is it really you?" Heather asked slowly.

"Who else would it be? Why would you care considering you did this to me." Alejandro answered, his voice now sounding mechanical.

"I didn't mean to." Heather defended herself.

"You tricked me! You foiled my win and looked at what happened! I'm glad that million dollars were destroyed because someone as despicable as you doesn't even deserve to have a glance at it!" Alejandro shouted in anger.

"It was the competition! You would have done the same and you know it! I wasn't about to let my feelings get in the way!" Heather tried to explain.

"And it worked. You have won. I don't want you near me again!"

(End Flashback)

Those words at cut right through to her heart. Alejandro now despised her and he had every right to. She had done horrible things and for what she had done she had been given little sympathy from the others. She thought back to what Lindsay said when she was eliminated on Total Drama Island.

'I hope you get everything your karma owes you.'

She had come onto the show to win, plain and simple. What she had done to hurt them on the show was deliberate. It was strategy. She didn't come to make friends; she was playing the game.

And in the end, she was left alone, sitting in her room with burns all over her arm and leg which kept her from moving a lot. The only one who liked her was injured worse than she was and hated her guts. The more she thought about it the more tears began to build up in her eyes. The door opened but Heather didn't notice, more focused on the TV, even as the replay of Would Tour's finale ended…

She heard a bit of movement and turned to the door. "Who is there? I said keep it down!"

Something lunged at her and she only remembered screaming before she felt something bite down on her neck.

Cameron was in his room, reviewing some data when the super-scan appeared on his screen, showing an activated tower. "Oh no."

He jumped from his chair and picked up his case which held his power armor inside. He rushed to the door and hastily opened it, only to freeze when he saw Zoey on the other side, frozen with her hand held up, having been about to knock when he had opened his door.

"Zoey!?" Cameron jumped. "…Uh…Hi?"

"Hi." Zoey awkwardly said back. "Uh…Everything okay, Cam?"

"Yeah, yeah." Cam nodded hastily, glancing over his shoulder and saw his laptop was still open, showing the super-scan. "So…what's up?"

"Well, I kind of noticed that we haven't talked a whole lot since this season started." Zoey began.

"Yeah…"

"And well, I was kind of wondering if you would like to…hang out with me and Mike…Like before?" Zoey asked, pushing her index fingers together. "Because you've been hanging out with almost everyone else on our team…except for me….Not that I am mad or anything."

Cameron could see that Zoey was feeling very awkward and confused and yet also lonely, likely because Mike was not on the same team as her. Truth be told, now that she had mentioned, he did realize he hadn't talked to Zoey or Mike a lot this season, mostly because of his responsibilities with Lyoko taking up most of his time. He did feel bad but he reminded himself he was protecting Zoey and Mike as well and he would have loved to hang out with them…

If he didn't need to go and get the others.

"That's a great idea, Zoey." Zoey perked up at the answer. "But I got to do this quick thing with some of the others. I can meet you and Mike later today."

"Oh…" Zoey visibly deflated. "Okay…"

"Thanks, Zoey. I'll see you later." Cameron ran past her, heading down the hallway of their team dorm.

"Right…see you later." Zoey muttered with a sad and confused look on her face.

Cameron rushed to nearest door which happened to be Gwen's door and hastily knocked on it. A second later, Gwen opened the door. "Oh, hey Cameron. What's up?"

"Trouble." Cameron leaned in and whispered, knowing that Zoey might overhear them. "We got a tower."

Gwen's eyes widened and she looked down the hallway, spying Zoey who was still at Cameron's door, waving awkwardly at them. "Does she-"

"No, I didn't say anything, but we got to move, fast." Cameron quickly answered. "I got my power armor ready in case it's another robot attack."

"Come on. I know where Lindsay and Dawn are." Gwen nodded, stepping out of the room. "LeShawna said something about being in the gym, but I don't know where Geoff and Bridgette are."

"I'll go get them. You find Dawn and Lindsay." Cameron nodded and rushed down the hallway, leaving Zoey who just continued staring in saddened confusion.

'What is going on?'

(XANA Attack Theme Ends)

"Ohmmmmmm…Ohmmmmmm…." Lindsay hummed to herself, meditating alongside Dawn at Dawn's preferred spot outside.

"Breathe in…" Dawn softly instructed, both she and Lindsay taking deep breaths. "And out…" They both exhaled at the same time. "Let all worries and fears wash over you…Let the gentle win calm you…Let the sound of blowing leaves drown out voices of discontent…"

Lindsay took another deep breath, a smile of pure serenity appearing on her face. "Ohmmmmmm…"

"Lindsay! Dawn!" A familiar voice called out.

Both girls opened their eyes to see Gwen rushing up to them.

"Oh, hi, Gwen." Lindsay waved a hand as she opened her eyes.

"Hi, sorry to interrupt but-"

"There's an activated tower." Dawn softly said as she stood up. "And Cameron has gone to find the others."

"Yeah, pretty much." Gwen simply said, not surprised by most of Dawn's abilities at this point. "We'll meet them at the factory."

Lindsay felt that familiar fear again but managed to push it aside as she nodded.

"Oh, Dawn." Gwen looked to Dawn. "Let's see if you can work that cellphone Lindsay got you and call Aelita."

Dawn blinked before taking out her cellphone. "You want to make sure I understand how to use it."

"Yeah, sorry to put you on the spot but-"

"No, I understand." Dawn nodded as she held up her phone, scrolling through the contact list and found Aelita's number.

Unfortunately for Dawn and the others, Aelita was in class and her phone was silent. She felt it vibrate but couldn't do anything at the moment, not even asking to go to the bathroom. For some reason, the teachers had been paying extra attention to her so she couldn't risk it until break.

"She's not answering…" Dawn lowered her phone. "She must be in the middle of class and she can't afford to try slipping out."

"Don't we need for turning off the tower?" Lindsay asked.

"We do but we can still clear the way for her." Gwen answered. "Come on. We'll slip through the gate."

DJ was still groaning as Harold and Sam had his arms over their shoulders, carrying him out of his room. Cody checked Lindsay's room and found she wasn't there.

Cody stopped and saw some of the other doors in the dorm had been forced open with scratch marks on them. "Oh, boy. Looks like my laptop visited the others."

"Are they okay?" Harold asked anxiously.

Cody peeked into Heather's room and saw her standing up, her head bowed. "…Heather? Are you-"

Heather's head shot up, looking at Cody, her face pale, her eyes glowing red with the Eye of XANA pulsing in pupils and she had…fangs. She let out a snarl and lunged at Cody who let out a scream and slammed the door. Heather collided with the door, knocking it off its hinges and collided with the wall.

"Heather?!" Harold exclaimed, feeling DJ's arm tightening around him and Sam. "DJ, what are you-"

DJ lifted his head, showing his skin was turning pale grey, his eyes glowing red and his teeth growing into fangs as he let out a snarling hiss. Sam and Harold screamed, pulling DJ's arms off them and running towards Cody who was backing away as Heather stood up and began stalking after him.

"What happened to them?!" Sam exclaimed with a frightful face.

"They're vampires!" Cody answered, his face showing near hysterical panic.

"Idiot!" Harold face-palmed himself. "I should have realized! The bite marks on DJ's neck! They're like vampire bits!"

DJ lunged forward, grabbing Sam and pinning him to the wall, causing him to let out a scream. "AAAH!"

"What's all the noise?" Dakota opened her door and peeked outside. "Can't you keep it-SAM!"

The sight of Sam being attacked as by the now vampire DJ, caused Dakota's mutation to kick in as she rushed forward and punched DJ, sending him flying off Sam and down the hall.

Sam slid to the ground, letting out a sigh of relief. "Oh, that was close."

"Are you?!" Dakota hastily said, noticing spikes growing from her arms, and concentrated extra hard to retract them. "What's going on?!"

"Look out!" Cody screamed.

Dakota turned to see Heather shoot her like a rocket, having been deemed the greater threat. Dakota was knocked off her feet and pinned to the ground as Heather tried biting her.

"Dakota!" Sam got to his feet, rushing to help. "Hang on!"

Dakota kicked Heather off her, her skin starting to turn orange. "Don't worry about me! I can handle this! Get out of here!"

DJ had recovered from Dakota's punch and attacked her from behind, him and Heather pinning Dakota down as her mutation fully activated, transforming her into Dakotazoid. "I..GOT THIS!"

Sam watched with wide eyes as Dakotazoid fought against the now vampire contestants, even as wires shot out of the nearby rooms, Cody's laptop along with Sam's gaming equipment now all converted into spider-like machinery with fangs growing from their 'faces' with glowing red eyes.

"My new GameGuy!" Sam gaped in horror, his own equipment now attacking his girlfriend.

"Sam!" Cody grabbed Sam by the shoulder. "We got to warn the others and help them!"

Sam looked at him and then back at Dakota as she continued struggling, even screaming in pain as biting sounds were heard. With a tearful expression, Sam nodded and followed Cody and Harold down the hallway.

"We need to find the others and warn them." Cody said as they ran around the corner, stopping at the door leading to the sewers that had yet to be sealed off. "They might be on their way to the factory if they know."

"Cody, you go to the factory." Harold quickly said. "Sam and I will look for the others if they don't know."

"But-"

"Go, dude." Sam cut Cody off. "Someone has to be there."

Cody looked between Sam and Harold before sadly nodding and took off running towards the exit.

LeShawna was bench pressing in the gym, Tyler, Eva and Brick being the only other contestants with her when Cameron ran in, rushing over when he saw her.

"LeShawna!" He quickly whispered, causing her to pause. "We got an activated tower."

LeShawna sighed as she sat up. "Great, so much for a day off. You got the others?"

"Gwen went out to find Lindsay and Dawn, she knew they were outside, but we don't know where Bridgette and Geoff went." Cameron whispered back, mindful of the other exercising contestants.

"Okay, you meet up with Gwen and others, I'll go find couple." LeShawna stood up. "We'll meet you at the factory."

Cameron nodded and they both headed for the exit.

Bridgette sighed as she entered the dorm of the Blue Rats, walking down the hallway and stopping at Courtney's door. She raised her hand to knock but paused…

"That's why I feel good this season. With all the baddies like Alejandro, Scott and Heather pretty much stuck in chairs or still injured, it feels like maybe things won't be so bad. It would be better if I could say the same for Courtney, but I am just glad I'm not on her team."

"Beth, please." Bridgette sighed. "Don't say things like that."

"Like what?" Beth frowned. "Don't tell me you're defending Courtney, Bridgette after how horribly she's treated everyone."

"She's not that bad out of the game." Bridgette replied.

"Have you even talked with her outside of the game?" Beth asked. "Or forgot that she bargained for our lives?"

"She's just competitive." Bridgette offered.

"There's a difference from being competitive to being outright nasty." Beth shook her head. "I really don't get why anyone would think of her as a friend after all she's done."

"She's got a bit of a point, Bridgette." Lindsay added. "She always a show-off, she's super-bossy, and whines when things don't go her way."

"Lindsay…" Bridgette looked at her, unable to believe what she was hearing.

"What? It's true. Look at how she's treated me and Gwen." Lindsay gestured to Gwen who looked a little sheepish. "Actually, didn't she try to kill you, Gwen."

"No, she'd didn't-" Bridgette started but Gwen cut her off.

"I really don't like talking about this but…she kind of did." Gwen sighed. "She did push me out of the plane while I was in the middle of an allergy attack."

"Bridge, come on…I know when something's bugging you." Geoff placed a hand on his girlfriend's shoulder. "This is about Courtney, isn't it?"

Bridgette sighed. "I just…I don't like it when people talk about her like that."

"They are not entirely wrong." Geoff offered.

"Geoff, she's not as bad as people make her." Bridgette spun around, facing her boyfriend.

"Maybe but she might not be as nice as you think she is." Geoff pointed out. "I mean okay, she didn't deserve to be cheated out like she was in Season One but she kind of spiraled after that. I know I got flak for how I acted in the Aftermath, but she was awful in Action."

"That's just because she's very competitive." Bridgette argued.

"Competitive? Bridge, she used her lawyers to rig the game in her favor, she practically made Duncan her servant and yeah, like Gwen said, she was abusive. She beat him down and stuffed a diaper in his mouth." Geoff argued. "That's not competitive, that's next level meanness."

Bridgette sighed, rubbing her head. "Geoff, I know you and a lot of the others don't see it, but she has her positive side."

"I am sure she does if you believe it." Geoff said. "I mean, Gwen feels bad about things went between them in World Tour, but Courtney did take things too far."

Bridgette sighed, lowering her hand. She wondered if she was deflecting again, like she did with Gwen about her breakup with Trent and hookup with Duncan. Was she just deflecting again because she remembered Courtney as the girl that she had been friends with on Total Drama Island? Was she just afraid of conflict that she didn't want to admit there was some merit to how the others had thought?

As Bridgette lowered her hand, she didn't notice several walking appliances slip into the rooms of the other Blue Rats…

He loved her . . . He loved her and she betrayed him. She broke his heart and shoved him out of the way. To her the million dollars was better than he was. He was so close.

He could have had it. He could have become someone in the family! They would have praised him like they did Jose. But he failed because of her.

She was so beautiful and deadly that he could not resist. The other girls were nothing to him. Only to be played and then thrown away when they were not needed. But she...

She would not fall for his charms. She fought him and they became adversaries. He began to foster feelings for her because of strength and ruthlessness. The same ruthlessness left him disfigured and paralyzed.

Feelings of sorrow, anger, and hate rose up inside him. He could hear his father's voice.

'You have disgraced our family, Alejandro. Your need to win at the cost of everyone else and using your fellow contestants has reflected badly on us.'

That's what his father said. Then there was Jose.

'Just a few inches from the money and you still lose, Al. And the way you lost was even sadder.'

Out of his family his mother was the only one to show concern. And then there was Heather. She took his heart, smashed it, kneed him in the groin, got him trampled by a dozen feet, and then burned.

'I swear this, Heather. You will pay for this.'

There was a sound of movement, and he tried turning his head as best as he could. "…Who is there?"

Something jumped at him and he felt something biting into the robot suit's neck. "GAH! What is going on?!"

Outside Alejandro's room, Bridgette turned her head when she heard him shouting. "Alejandro?"

Courtney's door shot open and the CIT peeked her head out. "What's all the noise-Bridgette?"

"Uh…hi, Courtney?" Bridgette waved shyly.

"Oh, yeah…" Geoff sighed as he lounged back on the chair, just enjoying the afternoon sun.

After the last few days he's had, he just wanted to kick back and relax. Okay, so he and Bridge had a small, tiny little argument about Courtney, but couples argue all the time, from what he had heard and at least it wasn't angry arguing.

"Geoff!"

Geoff opened his eyes, hearing LeShawna calling out to him. "Huh?"

"Geoff!" This time it was Cameron's voice.

"Okay, I know I am hearing things…Actually hearing things." Geoff stood up and looked around, spotting Cameron and LeShawna at the studio entrance. "Yo, dudes! What's up?"

"There you are." LeShawna rushed up to him, Camerong lagging behind. "We got a tower we got to shut down."

"Oh man." Geoff groaned. "Doesn't XANA ever take a break?"

"Given his AI nature, I suspect not." Cameron replied. "Gwen went to get Dawn and Lindsay. I found LeShawna and we just found you."

"Guess we better warn DJ and Bridge." Geoff shrugged.

"Where is Bridgette anyways? When is she not hanging out with you?" LeShawna asked skeptically as they walked back inside.

"Oh, we had a little disagreement about that whole 'Courtney not being as bad as people think' thing at lunch." Geoff answered. "It wasn't a bad argument, we didn't break up or anything, but Bridge is having trouble with everyone not liking Courtney."

"You'd think she'd get the memo after watching everything that spoiled princess has done." LeShawna rolled her eyes.

"Bridge just likes to see the good in everyone. She's not blind." Geoff pointed out. "It's not like she'd-"

"Geoff, please don't finish that sentence. We're in the middle of an attack." Cameron quickly said.

"What Iron-Boy just said." LeShawna agreed.

"So, what brings you around here?" Courtney was thankful they were not in Sierra's room, where the boards, pictures and theories all hung.

"Just…wanted to catch up with an old friend is all." Bridgette admitted with a small smile. "We haven't really talked a lot since well…Season One, I think. Between me and Geoff getting together, us getting on Season Two and you coming a whole lot later, then World Tour with us on separate teams. We haven't really hung out for a long time."

"True." Courtney nodded with a small smile. "So…"

Bridgette blinked, suddenly finding herself feeling very…awkward.

"…How's Geoff?" Courtney finally asked.

"…He's good." Bridgette simply said. "We've…huh…We're still together."

"I saw, in Hawaii." Courtney recalled. "No hard feelings?"

"About what?" Bridgette asked but then suddenly remembered with widened eyes. "Oh, right. Alejandro. Yeah, Geoff was upset for a while and he had every right to be, but we managed to patch things up."

"That's good to hear. And now you're on the same team, hanging out a lot with him, LeShawna and…Gwen." Courtney narrowed her eyes.

Bridgette cleared her throat. "Yeah. It's been a…fun times."

"Really?" Courtney raised an eyebrow. "So, you're fine with Gwen now?"

"Huh?" Bridgette blinked.

"I mean, you saw how bad she was in Season Two with how she dumped Trent and cheated on him with Duncan." Courtney started.

"Whoa, Gwen didn't cheat on Trent." Bridgette cut in. "She was asked that right there in the Aftermath with an anvil hanging over her head that would have fallen if she lied."

"Please, she must have found a way to fool the anvil." Courtney rolled her eyes. "Like how she fooled everyone up until she kissed Duncan behind my back."

"Courtney…were you and Duncan really dating again during World Tour?" Bridgette just had to ask.

Courtney blinked, almost in disbelief. "Of course, we were! How can you think we weren't?!"

"You two broke up before Would Tour and then you had one make-out moment on the bus following another argument." Bridgette stated. "And then he quit the show one episode in and when he was forced back on, he wasn't really happy to see you."

"If he wasn't interested in getting back together, why did he kiss me on the bus?" Courtney snapped. "He knew we were back together but decided to play with my feelings…Him and Gwen!"

"Courtney…Gwen told me why Duncan didn't want to get back together with you." Bridgette started, causing Courtney to pause. "According to her, along with all the physical abuse you gave him you cost Duncan the chance to win Season Two."

"What?! That's ridiculous!" Courtney exclaimed. "So, like that pathetic liar to say that!"

"She said the question you had for Duncan was one he didn't know but you gave Beth a question he could have answered easily." Bridgette continued. "If he answered the question, you gave Beth, he'd have won Total Drama Action."

"The question I…" Courtney blinked. "You mean, the one where he couldn't remember what color I was thinking? How in the world is that my fault?! It's his fault he didn't know I was thinking of burnt sienna because he never paid attention to me!"

"Did you ever tell him you liked that color?" Bridgette asked.

"Of course, I did! I told him everything I liked!" Courtney answered, throwing her arms up. "Not my fault he wasn't paying attention."

"Are you sure?" Bridgette pressed. "When did you tell him?"

"I…I…" Courtney trailed off, looking back and forth before shaking her head. "It doesn't matter. The point is he didn't know me enough to know what my favorite color was and he's using that to excuse losing rather than he admit he lost on his own."

"If you can't even remember when you might have told him, he probably never knew." Bridgette reasoned. "And that along with all the physical abuse you gave him-"

"What abuse?!" Courtney asked angrily.

"You kicked him in between the legs, actually hit him in the groin with a guitar-"

"Hey, he cheated…at the game that time!" Courtney argued.

"You shoved a dirty diaper into his mouth, whacked him that one time for winning without cheating and even flirted with Justin in front of him to make him jealous of you." Bridgette listed. "Are you even sure you were actually getting back together?"

"Oh, is this you or Gwen talking?" Courtney snapped. "Don't tell me you believe her over me. You were on my side when she dumped Trent."

"I was actually on Trent's side…and to be honest, Gwen and I had a little talk and I realized I was…being too hard on her." Bridgette sighed.

"Too hard on her…You weren't being hard enough!" Courtney growled. "Look what she did!"

"And I don't condone it, but she never meant to break Trent's heart or yours. Trent was throwing challenges for her, costing his team but Gwen didn't want that. She broke up with him to save him from doing that, Justin and the rest voted him off and blackmailed Gwen, making her get voted off next. If she was bad as you say she is, why didn't she even go along with throwing the challenge for them if she didn't have to?" Bridgette asked.

"Because she was up against the wall and wanted to salvage her reputation." Courtney scoffed. "She probably she'd earn some brownie points that would save her from getting eliminated."

"I don't think so, Courtney…" Bridgette sighed. "That's not who she is."

"And you know?" Courtney glared at the surfer. "You have some nerve speaking of her to me."

"I didn't bring her up, you did." Bridgette hastily said. "We didn't have to talk about her or Duncan."

"Clearly, if you're actually defending them." Courtney rolled her eyes. "I mean, who cares that I got my heart broken on live TV, millions of people watching and that no one else seemed to care. But I guess it's to be expected since the game has been rigged against me since Season One."

"What makes you say that?" Bridgette blinked.

"Harold rigged the votes and got me unfairly kicked off, Chris intentionally says I'm not qualified for Season Two just so I wouldn't compete, then when things are finally going better for me when I get back on the show the whole game is rigged against me so that wannabee Beth could win, and then World Tour when Chris decides to eliminate and Blaineley together rather than have a tiebreaker like he did with me and Gwen." Courtney recounted, getting angry with each memory. "It's pretty clear the entire time I have competed the game is rigged against me winning."

Bridgette had no idea what to say to that. Just as she seemingly opened her mouth, the door was smashed open, causing both girls to jump in surprise. Standing at the door was the Drama Machine, spider legs sprouting from its back and a fanged mouth open, revealing a pale skinned still burnt Alejandro inside, eyes glowing red…With a certain red Eye.

Bridgette's eyes widened as she recognized the Eye. 'XANA!'

Luckily for the two, something smashed into the Drama Machine, knocking it down.

"Bridgette, are you okay?!" Cameron's voice came from inside his Power-Armor.

"Cameron?!" Bridgette gasped.

"Come on!" LeShawna shouted, rushing up behind Cameron. "We got to move!"

"Come on, Bridge!" Geoff called up, holding out his hand to his girlfriend.

Bridgette and Courtney rushed out of the room, Bridgette grasping Geoff's hand as they ran down the hallway as the Drama Machine got back up, snarling and growling.

"What in the world is going on?!" Courtney shouted.

"We have vampires!" Cameron said, falling back and firing several blasts at the Drama Machine as it tried chasing them. "Almost everyone in the studio has been infected!"

"Say what?!" Courtney exclaimed.

A claw from the Drama Machine lashed out, grabbing Cameron, pinning his arms to his side and pulling him back.

"Cam!" Geoff spun around, about to run back to help.

"Don't worry about me! Get to the factory!" Cameron called out as the Drama Machine pulled him towards it. "Split up! There's too many to try avoiding as a group and don't use the sewers!"

The Drama Machine opened its new maw and bit down on Cameron's shoulder. The TD Lyoko Warriors and Courtney watched with horrified faces as Cameron struggled, even as he was bitten…

Then he went completely still.

"Come on!" LeShawna grabbed Geoff and Bridgette by the shoulder. "You heard him! We got move!"

"Now wait just a minute!" Courtney shouted, turning to look at them with an intense glare. "This all has something to do with you sneaking out, doesn't it?!"

"Sneaking out…" Bridgette trailed off, eyes wide and she wondered if she had said something that might have tipped Courtney off. "What-"

"Don't play dumb with me!" Courtney cut the surfer off. "I know you have been sneaking out and it involves some abandoned factory and that Gwen is involved!"

"You know about the factory?!" Geoff jumped.

"Yes, and you're going to tell me what's going on right now or I am going to-" Courtney was too busy to notice Justin behind her, head bowed.

"Courtney!" Bridgette shouted, pointing behind her. "Behind you!"

"Oh, don't try that old trick on me, Bridgette! It's not going to-GAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!" Courtney was cut off as Justin grabbed and bit into her shoulder. "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH!"

"Come on!" LeShawna grabbed Geoff and Bridgette and they ran off.

"Dude, we need a way to get to the factory." Sam said urgently as Harold and ran down the hallway. "If what DJ says is true, then we need to get there and help them."

"How would you expect us to get there?" Harold asked as they got behind a wall. "DJ got bitten by that virus we brought here, and Cody made it to the sewers before that door got turned as well."

"Whatever this virus does, we need to help undo it." Sam looked around and noticed Chris and Chef being chased into another building leaving behind his golf cart and a couple t-shirt cannons. "I might have an idea."

Harold saw the two items and raised an eyebrow. "How do you expect that to help?"

"I have no idea!" Sam ran to the golf cart with Harold following. "You drive. I'll handle shooting those electronic…uh…vampires?"

"Puny Harold." Harold turned to see Duncan running up to them with the red eye symbol in his eyes.

Sam grabbed the t-shirt cannon and fires it immediately. The t-shirt shot out hitting Duncan in his stomach then forcing him to fly into the wall a few feet behind him.

"Ok, that packs a bigger punch than I thought." Sam admitted, surprised by the power.

"Works for me." Harold got in the driver's seat while Sam gets in the passenger's seat.

Harold started the golf cart and drove them out of the studio.

"I cannot believe we're running to the factory on foot instead of through the sewers." LeShawna remarked as she, Bridgette, and Geoff ran past multiple cars, a series of electronic 'vampires' chasing after them.

"Cameron said it himself before XANA got him. The best plan we got is to split up with one group acting as bait while the other goes through the sewers." Bridgette remarked. "Wish we were able to save him before he got bit. I wonder how Courtney figured out what we were up to."

"No point thinking about that." Geoff ducked, avoiding debris flying over him. "Let's just hope Gwen, Dawn, and Lindsay are able to get there without any trouble."

"Yahoo!" The trio and electronic 'vampires' stopped and turned to the voice seeing a golf cart fly over everyone. "Wait, how did you get this thing to fly?!"

"I don't know!" The trio recognized Harold's voice.

"Harold?!" LeShawna yelled with wide eyes, surprised to hear him.

The three run after the golf cart as it spun around and stopped with Sam pointing the t-shirt gun at the biggest electronic vampire. "Asta la vista..."

"You're not Arnold Schwarzenegger. Just shoot it." Harold interrupted him.

"Fine." Sam shot the t-shirt cannon and smirked as the shirt goes through the center circuitry. "Bullseye."

The three Lyoko Warriors turned to see the damage with wide eyes and continued running to the golf cart as the circuitry starts repairing itself.

"Okay, did not see that coming." Sam admitted.

"Shoot it again!" Geoff told him as Bridgette and LeShawna got on the golf cart.

"On it!" Sam fired another t-shirt destroying another part of the electronic device only for that to start repairing as well. "This will only slow it down not stop it."

"You got a second one of those?" Sam pulled a second one out and tossed it to Geoff. "Sweet." Geoff grabbed it and got in the back seat of the golf cart. "I'll fire from behind, and you uh…"

"I'll get us to the factory." Harold finished turning the golf cart around and driving them to their destination as the electronics started bringing vehicles to life.

"Whoever thought it was a good idea to make vehicles electric will feel really stupid now." Bridgette remarked gulping in fear.

"Wait, factory?" LeShawna asked, turning her attention to Harold.

"Uh…" Harold stuttered, realizing his slip-up.

"We know about Lyoko." Sam said for Harold. "We're sorry for messing with the supercomputer, but right now we got something bigger to worry about!" Sam leaned out of the vehicle and fired a t-shirt in front of them hitting a small device destroying it instantly.

"No kidding!" Geoff fired a t-shirt at the closest vehicle and winced as it made a big dent on the hood. "Wow, that packs a very big punch!"

"Hold on! When did you guys learn about Lyoko?" Bridgette asked gripping the metal side bars between the front and middle seats.

"Not too long ago." Harold admitted sheepishly. "We got destroyed by that lava monster. Near that volcano."

"You went to Lyoko?!" LeShawna asked glaring at Harold.

"It was my idea." Sam turned around and points his t-shirt cannon. "I tempted Harold and Cody into going." He fired another t-shirt having it slam through a vehicle's window.

"Cody knows too?!" Bridgette exclaimed.

"So much for easing them into this." Harold remarked.

"Yeah, this attack might have destroyed that idea." Sam agreed firing a t-shirt hitting another car forcing it to swerve and slam a building. "Oh, I really do not want Dakota to pay for that."

LeShawna and Bridgette shared a hard look. 'They are so in trouble after this is over.' They think knowing these guys screwed up.

"So how do you plan to get us to the factory without those devices chasing us?" LeShawna asked crossing her arms.

"Puny Harold!" The girls turned around to see Duncan jumping from vehicle to vehicle closing in on his target.

"Oh come on!" Harold yelled, glaring at Duncan. "I thought we left him at the studio."

"Guess this virus allows them to know where everyone is." Sam remarked.

Suddenly DJ and Cameron appeared a block away in front of them.

"Right!" Bridgette suddenly shouted.

Harold swerved the golf cart right and left them going through a mall.

"A mall, seriously?" Geoff asked looking at his girlfriend. "You're just giving them more ammo babe."

"I couldn't say straight, left, or turn around now, could I?!" Bridgette remarked as Harold drove past multiple civilians and avoided Duncan slamming into the ground.

"Dude, how did he catch up so quick?!" Harold yelled.

"Don't know." Geoff fired his cannon, the t-shirt slamming into Duncan forcing him to crash into the wall. "But we need to ditch the cart if we want to make it."

Cameron and DJ appeared in front of them again. "I'm all for it."

The five jumped out of the cart and watched it slam into DJ and Cameron. DJ grabbed the golf cart and threw it to the side.

"Oh, come on! Not even a nudge!" Sam complained before pointing the t-shirt cannon at them. "Time for plan B then." He hit the trigger, but nothing came out of his t-shirt cannon. "Uh oh."

"I got one shot left!" Geoff pointed his t-shirt cannon at them and fired, hitting DJ and forcing him to fly into the wall.

"Great, we're still trapped though." LeShawna pointed out as multiple electronics and people surround them.

"I hope the others are having better luck then us." Harold remarked grabbing a metal table.

"For your life, they better. You are in so much trouble after this is over!" LeShawna warned Harold who gulped.

They heard a slam and looked up to see a door with the electronic lock.

"Is that the door to the sewers?!" Bridgette yelled as it came for them.

"It followed us here?!" Sam yelled.

The door slammed on the ground between all five contestants and jumped up with a growl.

"We might have a way out now." Harold muttered, glancing at Duncan as he walks to them then back at the door.

Gwen, Dawn, and Lindsay entered the factory without any trouble and took the elevator down to the lab.

"How long until Aelita and William get here?" Lindsay asked, worried about her friends.

"They're on their way." Dawn answered, feeling their aura not too far from them.

"How much longer until they get here?" Gwen asked as she sat down at the supercomputer and started typing in the commands for them to go to Lyoko.

"A few minutes, four or five at most. They also have their friend with them again." Dawn admitted.

"Unless they get distracted by those electronic devices like the rest of our friends are." Gwen remarked bitterly. She shook her head. "Do you think she will join us this time?"

"Hard to say. Her aura shows her still on the fence."

"I have no idea if I will ever get used to that." Gwen muttered when the elevator door shut with the elevator going up. "Someone is here."

Dawn looked up and her eyes widened. "How? Why is he here?"

"Who is it?" Lindsay asked, tilting her head a bit.

The elevator came down and opened to the lab revealing Cody. He saw Dawn and Lindsay and turned his attention to Gwen. "Uh…" Cody tried to find his voice. 'I was hoping no one was here yet.'

"Cody?" Gwen and Lindsay asked, eyes widened at seeing him standing there in mutual surprise.

Cody rubbed the back of his neck and smiled uneasily. "Uh, hey Gwen, surprised you got here so soon."

"How…no, why are you here?" Gwen asked.

Cody sighed and shook his head. "I'll explain later. Right now, XANA made that virus to make people and electronics act like vampires or something to that degree."

"Yeah, we got that when LeShawna called and said it infected Cameron and DJ." Gwen remarked crossing her arms, raising her eyebrow.

"I also know where it came from." This got the girls to look at him with full focus.

"Where?" Dawn asked, narrowing her eyes.

"My laptop, XANA infected my laptop." Cody answered dropping the bomb that he now knew about XANA. "He must have done it when I had it connected to the supercomputer."

Gwen stood up with both hands up. "Wait a minute, hold on. You knew about the supercomputer before today?"

Cody nodded. "Yes."

"Cody, how long ago was it when you were here?" Gwen asked, as she slowly walked to him.

"It was about a day or two ago. We didn't know Owen and Izzy were following us." Cody answered sheepishly.

Dawn's eyes widened even further. "I never felt your aura…wait, you said 'we.' Who else was there?"

"As I said, I'll explain later. Right now, I rather we stop this virus infestation before we're all put under some hypnotic virus from XANA." Cody quickly said. "Granted, I'm still studying the files, but I do know how to virtualize you guys, the vehicles, read the map, and use the 'return to the past' function."

"Do you even know what 'return to the past' does?" Gwen asked him skeptically.

"I presume it could return things back to normal before the virus started, but I still have a hard time believing it could turn back time." Cody admitted.

"I still do at times." Dawn admitted.

"What are we going to do?" Lindsay asked, getting the others to look at her. "I know we need to go to Lyoko to shut the tower down, but Aelita isn't here yet."

"We can still locate the activated tower." Gwen answered.

Cody moved into the seat of the supercomputer and typed in the command pulling the activated tower's location. "The tower is inside the desert."

Gwen nodded. "Get us as close as you can without being near the monsters."

"I will." Gwen turned to the elevator. "Also, Gwen, I'm sorry."

Gwen gave Cody a side glance. "We'll see if I accept it when this is over." She said, keeping her tone neutral.

Lindsay followed Gwen to the elevator, and Dawn stared at Cody reading his aura. She then closed her eyes then followed Lindsay into the elevator. The elevator door shut, and Dawn opened her eyes. 'He is more than sorry.' Dawn thought, giving Gwen a quick glance without her noticing.

The elevator got to the next floor, and the girls headed to the scanners.

"Starting up the virtualization process." Cody's voice echoes through the scanner room.

"Transfer Gwen."

"Transfer Dawn."

"Transfer Lindsay."

Each scanner door closed after them. Cody gulped, knowing he would be in even more trouble if he screwed this up.

"Scanning Gwen."

"Scanning Dawn."

"Scanning Lindsay."

Cody finished typing the commands in and hits 'enter' feeling nervous. "Virtualization"

Cody watched the screen as the girls virtualized onto Lyoko. 'Ok, so far so good.' He thought. 'Glad I studied those codes a bit more before this happened.'
