Heart breaking and all too realistic. I've long held the theory that Arthur is either mentally disabled due to some disorder {fragile X syndrome? Klinefelters?} or to a head injury.
The characterization is beautifully done- you can practically hear the characters' voices. It's a sweet, sad little fic well worth the time to read. What particularly stands out is the brutal honesty of what can happen with brain damage, fitting flawlessly into cannon.
This fic has the dubious honor of becoming the first CP fic on my recs list.
