Chapter Text
Alexandria looks up at her new school, she gulps as she holds her bag close. Out of everyone who is walking onto the campus, she has darker skin due to being born in a foreign country. Alexandria Bardales just recently moved to Musutafu Japan with her mother to escape her father and family. Thanks to the principle and Crimson Riot, Alexandria was able to get into UA and slowly work on becoming a citizen. Taking a deep breath, Alex begins to walk into the school, ignoring the whispers and glares she is getting as she heads to her classroom. Alex flinches as she hears a high pitched scream, her sensitive ears ringing.
“Hizashi, what the hell?” Shota growls, covering his ears. “Why did you just scream?”
“We have a new student coming in today! I cannot wait to see who they are and what their quirk is,” Hizashi says. “Being added into the main hero course in September? They must be super cool!”
“Hizashi is right,” Oboro adds. “To be added so suddenly is certainly interesting. They must have a strong quirk.”
“Alright, everyone settle down,” Gran Torino says. “As you know, you all have a new classmate. Come up here and introduce yourself.”
Alex flinches, hearing the venom in his voice. She is not surprised, seeing as everyone knows her family name and quirk. Once everyone hears her name, she will be ostracized, but she doesn’t care. She will become a hero unlike the rest of her family. She goes to the front and faces her new classmates, she can already see the confusion and some glares. No one was expecting to see a girl with long curly purple hair, purple eyes, caramel skin and pointed ears walk up to the front.
“Bueno Dias, Soy Alexandria Bardales and I just recently moved to Musutafu,” Alex says, bowing her head, her spanish accent thick. “I hope you all will help me get used to this new country.”
Everyone is quiet, all of their eyes darkening, all but one. Oboro smiles and stands up.
“Welcome Bardales!” Oboro greets. “If you need some help, let me know. I am more then happy to help.”
Alex looks at him in shock, did he just say that? She looks at him, her quirk activating to see if he is lying but he isn’t. Alex smiles and goes to the only open seat and the class begins. Alex ignores the glares but she does hear the angry whispers between the one who was kind to her and the two she listened to when she first entered the room.
“What the hell Oboro,” Hizashi whisper yells. “She’s a Bardales! Why be so nice to her?”
“For once, I agree with Hizashi,” Shota whispers. “She doesn’t deserve any type of kindness.”
“C’mon guys, she’s trying to change,” Oboro argues. “She had to have convinced a pro and the principle that she wants to be good if she’s here in our class.”
Alex smiles a little, at least someone is trying to be kind to her despite her family name.
(Lunch)
“Hi,” Oboro smiles. “My name is Shirakumo Oboro, it’s nice to officially meet you Bardales.”
“Hola Shirakumo,” Alex smiles, shaking his hand. “Gracias for being so kind to me, it is nice to be treated with kindness.”
“Of course! Now c’mon, it's lunch time!”
Alex giggles and follows Oboro out of the class room, in the hallway Alex gets dark glares and whispers but she ignores them. That’s when she feels genuine hatred being sent her way, she looks around and notices an upperclassman. Yagi Toshinori. Oboro notices Alex shrinks in on herself and goes to stand by her side; he gives her a big smile and leads her to grab food and then to his friends.
“Alex, these are my friends,” Oboro introduces. “Yamada Hizashi and Aizawa Shota.”
Alex gives them a small smile and nods, she can see the hatred in their eyes as they glare at her. She isn’t surprised, after all, who’d want to be friends with a demon? Though, Oboro seems to want to be her friend despite that. Alex takes a seat across from Shota, doing her best to stay quiet and small as the friends talk. She wishes she didn’t have such sensitive hearing, Alex can hear every whisper, every racial comment, all of the hatred that is being sent her way. Alex hopes this will pass at some point, but she doubts it.
“I’m telling ya man, Lockheart would so beat Crimson Riot!” Hizashi argues.
“No way, Riot is too strong for that guy!” Oboro argues.
“These two,” Shota sighs.
“Who is Lockheart?” Alex asks.
“He is a hero, his quirk is super speed,” Shota explains before snapping his mouth shut, glaring at her.
“O-oh....”
“He may be fast, but he isn’t strong like Crimson!” Oboro smiles. “What do you think Alex?”
“W-well, I can’t give my opinion...no se about Lockheart. Pero Crimson Riot helped my mother and I, so I would root for him no matter what,” Alex explains.
“Really? That is so cool!” Oboro smiles.
Alex smiles and nods, Hizashi and Shota share a look, so Crimson Riot is the one who is sponsoring the Bardales. Why would he sponsor well known villains? That is reputation suicide! The hero is going to regret this when Alex turns on them, it is enviable.
