Draco Malfoy has served three months in Azkaban, then challenged everyone’s expectations by rising rapidly through the ranks of Curse-breakers at Gringotts. Harry Potter has been happy working with George in his shop, and watching with at first doubt, then admiration of said Gringotts employee.
With the Daily Prophet already mis-reporting Harry’s every romantic step, why not take advantage of a fake relationship with Ginny Weasley to put off prospective set-ups when he’s already trying to woo one gorgeous blond Curse-breaker?
