Summary
What if the other mother hadn't been an outright villain but rather a creature who didn't understand humans very well and ended up hurting them in an attempt to stave off her loneliness? What if she actually cared about Coraline?
This story explores an alternate universe in which both of these are true and Coraline gave the other mother a chance to love her which ended up changing both of their lives.
