Summary:
For a while, neither he nor the creature move. Wolfwood gets the odd feeling that somehow, they’re both the deer in the headlights in this situation. Birdsong and the gentle whistle of the wind through the pines fill the empty space between them.
Wolfwood has no idea what possesses him to do what he does, but before his brain can catch up to his body, he raises a hand and waves.
A beat, and then the thing raises its hand and waves back.
Something new moves into the woods around Wolfwood's home.

Happy ITPE GodOfLaundryBaskets!!! When I was contemplating treats this year I saw in your Dear Podficcer letter that you enjoy non-human Vash and I'd had this and the next in the series on my to-pod list and thought you might enjoy them! They're an AU version of Vash's canon inhuman-ness but I think these fics are a couple of nice vignettes and personally I have a special fondness of Appalachia so I loved the setting and had a lot of fun creating these. I hope you enjoy listening!
Also I just want to thank SpiritusRex for having blanket permission to podfic! I absolutely love your imagining of cryptid Vash in Appalachia! Also if you're reading this, I finally got around to starting listening to Old Gods of Appalachia and I have been loving every minute and just want to thank you for that push I needed to start that!
