Wilbur could tell he was trying to spin this mess into a positive light for him. Whatever nonsense Phil was going to spew out to trick Wilbur into thinking this move was a great idea, wasn’t going to work.
“I know it’s hard being here, away from friends and the excitement of L’Manburg. But I think a change of scenery might do you some good. Stretch your legs, get some sunshine, try something new, maybe make new friends.”
Wilbur snorted. “Like who? The scarecrow? There’s no one for miles, dad.”
Phil chuckled. “Who knows, maybe there’s something more to them.”
