He clears his throat and reads the script. “Have you prayed tonight, Desdemona?”
“Ay, my lord.” Wataru’s voice is quiet and reverential filled with… with something that makes Yuzuru’s heart pound in his chest. Wataru speaks to him and him alone, calling him closer, and he can’t deny the power of Wataru’s allure as his inviting eyes flutter and stare at him through long lashes.
Yuzuru knows nothing of this play, and yet he feels the love between these two characters—even, somehow, between himself and Wataru.
It’s unsettling and all-encompassing.
Wataru needs help perfecting a new role.
