Chapter Text
Kiara
“Okay, bowline’s out. We should be good to go now.” Rafe stood back up, his blue eyes meeting Kiara’s. They were the crisp cerulean of the most seductive parts of the ocean. Fitting, for how much darkness laid behind them.
It would have been so easy for her to give Rafe a little push over the edge of the boat and take it for herself to rescue her friends now. The thought briefly crossed her mind, but something made her hesitate. She concluded it was the uncertainty of whether it was worth it to steal the boat and hope she could find her friends in time before Rafe or Singh caught up with her.
As she watched him bring one leg over the metal bar lining the boat and then the other, his pants straining against the muscles in his legs, she told herself it was safer to wait it out until they arrived in Saint Lucia and then find help there.
Maybe this was a bad idea, but it was too late to turn back.
Instead she put on a fake smile and said “Great.”
Rafe made his way back to the helm and Kiara reluctantly followed. He looked over the boat’s many mechanics and started the engine as she shifted awkwardly. She hadn’t really thought about the part where they’d be together, alone, on this boat for god knows how long. She couldn’t remember how long the boat ride was between the two islands.
Surveying her options carefully she finally decided on sitting at one of the bench seats a safe distance away.
Regret tinged the back of her mind as they pulled out of the bay. She really should have stayed behind and waited for her friends. She should have pushed Rafe off this fucking boat and driven it away. She should have steered clear of him and his stupid plan to begin with.
She had made a deal with the devil and she feared she might pay for it greatly.
__
“How much longer?” she asked, raising her voice above the sound of the engine beating against the ocean waves. She tried to keep her dark curls from whipping against her face as she looked out to the horizon. They were moving pretty fast but there was no land she could see in any direction. The idea of being out here in the middle of nowhere with him made her uneasy. It was ironic because the ten years younger version of her would have been thrilled to have this time alone with Rafe.
Middle school Kiara had harbored the biggest crush on Raford Cameron. Her heart had practically melted anytime his infectious smile was directed at her, and it was almost anytime she was around. Sara had never caught on and she didn’t dare bring it up now, but once upon a time she found herself often daydreaming about her friend’s older brother. The way he would say ‘Hey Kie’ whenever he would walk by at Tannyhill had kept her up for hours. She had made sure that by the time summer ended everyone was calling her that. And everyone did. But it was Rafe who had come up with the nickname.
Rafe had always had those intense blue eyes and that rebellious grin. But his heart had turned cold over the years. Something had turned him into the murderous monster that stood before her. A shame, because Rafe had grown even more into his looks.
He had buzzed his hair at some point during the Pogues’ time on the island. It made him look older. More intimidating, but striking nonetheless.
Kiara shook her head, cursing herself for admiring Rafe’s appearance when she so definitely and vehemently detested him. He had killed Peterkins, threatened all of her friends, almost murdered Sara, stolen Pope’s cross, and probably countless other horrible things. He was a monster. A hideous beast incapable of redemption.
“Trip’s only a couple of hours.” Rafe said without turning back to her.
She cursed herself again, rubbing her eyes and turning her attention back to the water. What was wrong with her? She shouldn’t be appreciating the way his expensive white linen shirt clung to his back or thinking about the way he looked at her in the back of that truck, eyes alight with wonder. It was just the adrenaline coursing through them, of course. The thrill of experiencing high-intensity adventure together. There was nothing between them and there never would be.
—
Pinks and purples from the impending sunset bled into the sky as they continued on. It was actually really beautiful, the way it spread out over the sky and across the water. It was too bad Kiara had to share this romantic moment with someone like Rafe. Though, she wasn’t sure if who she really wanted to spend it with was up for that.
The last time her and JJ had conversed left her with more questions than answers, and she didn’t want to be thinking about that right now when she needed to keep her head clear for coming up with a plan after Rafe dropped her off.
They had kept their conversation to a minimum as they sailed on. It seemed Rafe wanted to get away from her just as badly as she did. Understandable, since the Pogues had done their fair share of damage to him.
Kiara was scanning the horizon when suddenly the engine sputtered and they started to slow.
Rafe stepped back from the helm, “Shit. Shit, shit, shit, shit, shit.” he said, looking over the dials and buttons on the dashboard.
“What? What’s wrong?” She rose from her seat on the bench, peering over his shoulder. But she didn’t have as much knowledge on the steering components on a bigger boat like this, so nothing on the many dials stuck out to her.
“We’re out of fucking gas.” Rafe said, rubbing one hand over his eyes. “Fuck!” he yelled, kicking the side of the captain’s chair.
Panic quickly spread through her. There was no land in sight.
“What? I thought you said we were fine? You didn’t make sure the tank was full before we set off?”
“Yeah, I really didn’t have much time to fill up the tank when I was being held captive, Kie.”
“Wait, so what do we do?” This was bad. This was very bad. Kiara needed to get back to her friends. They had no idea she was even out here with Rafe. “Should we put the sail up?”
“Nah, wind’s not in our favor. We’ll have to call the Coast Guard with the satellite phone. They should be able to bring us some gas.” he nodded as he said it, like he was convincing himself just as much as her.
“ Should be able to?”
“Well yeah. But I’m not sure how long it will take them.” he said, rifling through some of the papers in the drawer where the manuals are kept.
“Can’t you call someone else?”
“Like who? My dad’s fucking uncoscious and I don’t think Rose would be in too much of a hurry to pick me up after all of this shit. We’d have better luck swimming back.”
“I have a cell phone. We could call–”
“No service out here. Look, I’ve got it covered. You just sit there and look pretty. I’m gonna fix this.” Rafe said, climbing the ladder down to the lower level.
“I’m sure you are, but I need to get off of this boat as soon as possible. My friends are out there and they don’t know where I am.” Kiara insisted, following him to the side of the upper deck.
“Oh my god, Kie. I have shit going on, too! Jesus. The fucking Pogues are just gonna have to wait.” Rafe went underneath, shaking his head and muttering, “this is what I get for trying to help you.”
“Well, maybe you should’ve just stranded me!” Kiara yelled, but she climbed down the ladder after him into the cabin.
He was violently throwing open drawers in the main room of the boat, papers went flying and books clattered to the floor. He didn’t look up as he replied, “Yeah, maybe I should have. Woulda been a lot quieter on this boat.” He slammed a cabinet door shut and punched it with his fist, “God, where is that fucking phone?!”
“Okay, can you please calm the fuck down for like two seconds?”
Rafe approached her, grabbing her arms, his blue eyes wild, “Can you please shut the fuck up for like two seconds?”
“Okay, fuck you Rafe!” she yelled, shoving him away.
Fine, if he was so annoyed with her she was going to make herself scarce on this stupid fucking boat. She stomped back outside, slamming the door and clambering up the ladder to the upper deck again. Rafe was still tearing his way through the boat, as she could tell from the bangs and cursing coming from below. She pulled out the cell phone she had swiped but Rafe was right, there was no signal. Damn.
The sun was about halfway set but she was able to see pretty good with the remaining light, so she began carefully searching the upper deck for the satellite phone. She didn’t even know what it looked like but she needed to do something to feel like she wasn’t completely wasting time on this boat.
Each drawer on the dashboard was empty, but there was a small compartment in the side of the passengers’ seat side of the boat. And, bingo. When she opened it up it held a black and red satellite phone. Assuming it was the only one on the boat since Rafe had torn through every other inch of it, this had to be what he was looking for.
Shoot. She didn’t know who to call or how to use it. She would need Rafe’s help.
“I found the stupid phone!” Kiara yelled, sitting back in the captain’s chair. He came immediately, his head popping up over the roof.
“Seriously?” Rafe asked, already up on the upper deck and approaching her.
“Yeah. But if you want it I’m going to need you to apologize for being a dick.” she said, brow raised. He reached out for the phone but she held it behind her.
“C’mon Kie, we don’t have time for this. Just give me the phone.” he said, hand held out to her.
“Say it, Rafe. ‘I’m sorry’. If you’re even capable.” She held the phone behind her back and raised a brow, challenging him.
Rafe’s jaw set and he looked away from her. “I’m sorry.” he muttered.
“What’s that? Can’t hear you!”
“I’m sorry! Okay? Look, I’m really fucking sorry. Truce, uncle, white flag, whatever. Just please give me the phone, Kie. We don’t have time for fucking around.”
“I guess that will do. Here.” she handed the phone over, rolling her eyes. When he turned away she nervously swept her gaze over the horizon, though. Not a single boat had come by since they had stopped. This really was their only chance.
“Thanks.” Rafe muttered, opening the drawer where the manuals were kept. He pulled out some type of pamphlet and read the phone number off of the back, dialing into the satellite phone.
Kiara stayed silent as he spoke to the person on the other line, “Hi, yeah we ran out of gas and we need some assistance… Yes… We have a house in Barbados…Well, no, but… No, we do have some here. Yeah. Yeah, I understand… “ Rafe read off their position and then hung up.
“Shit.” Rafe said, rubbing his hand over his head to wipe away the sweat that had formed.
“Are they not coming?” she asked, unable to hide the worry in her voice.
“They’re coming. Eventually.” Rafe said, “Something about some emergency situation with a boating accident. They said ‘if no one’s hurt and you have food we’ll send someone as soon as we can’.” Rafe squeezed his eyes shut and rubbed his temple.
“Aren’t they supposed to be emergency response?”
“Yeah, you’d think. Guess this isn’t their classification of an emergency. And we can’t call the cops because they’re in Singh’s back pocket.”
“Shit.” Kiara whispered.
“We’ll call again in the morning if they haven’t come yet.” Rafe stood with his hands on his hips, looking out onto the water.
“In the morning? We cannot wait that long!” she threw her hands up in frustration
Rafe gave her a long look. “For once I agree with you. But it looks like we’re stuck here for now.”
“Can’t you just call Rose? Apologize?”
“ I’m not the one who needs to apologize. You and your shithead friends almost killed Ward. You know that, right?” he asked.
“You guys tried to kill us first!”
“Yeah, well, I don’t see any of you lying in a hospital bed unconscious right now.” Rafe shook his head, “Whatever. I’m getting a beer. You want one?”
He didn’t wait for her to answer, he was already halfway down the ladder before she could comprehend that Rafe Cameron just asked her to have a beer with him in the middle of being stranded in the ocean. Like nothing ever happened. This man was seriously demented.
But if she was going to survive god knows how long on this boat with him, she might as well get tipsy. So against her better judgment, she followed him down below.
–
Rafe pulled two bottles of Banks out of the fridge in the kitchenette and handed her one of them as he passed by to take a seat at the built-in dining area. They had left the doors to the main cabin open wide so the breeze from the sea caressed her back as she sat at the table. It was dark by then, no light around them for miles. It might have made her nervous if the cabin wasn’t so well lit.
Kiara was no stranger to Yachts but this one definitely ranked high on the luxury list. The large main room that opened up to the back deck had a very nice kitchenette and a breakfast table with a wraparound sectional, and then a living room area fitted with more couches, and four bedrooms. At least she would have her own bedroom to sleep in, even if it was in these silk pajamas Singh had so generously provided.
“Here.” he said, tossing her an object that she almost didn’t catch. It was a bottle opener. “Figured if I opened it without you you’d think I tried to drug you or something.”
Kiara didn’t argue as she popped the top off of the bottle. She definitely would have thought that. They sat in silence for several moments. She surveyed the main cabin, very purposefully ignoring Rafe.
They sat sipping their beer, mostly in awkward silence, until Rafe finally huffed and got up again.
“You want a tequila shot?” he asked, already pulling two shot glasses out of the cabinet near his head.
Kiara answered without looking at him, “I guess I don’t really have a choice.”
Rafe poured them two shots and then pulled two more beers out of the fridge. Something about this bizarre situation had her on edge. Something about him always had her on edge. Like he was about to blow up at any second. She hadn’t forgotten about who he was, with his unpredictable temper and aggressive manner. But he didn’t seem like all of that out here, alone. He just seemed like Rafe.
He slid one of the shots over to her and set his down in front of him.
“To being stranded with a dick.” he said, smirking at her. It seemed the playfulness in him was still there, deep down, buried by all the rage. But it didn’t make up for any of the terrible things he had done.
Kiara rolled her eyes and threw back the shot, forcing herself not to wince if only to not give him the satisfaction of seeing her struggle with it.
“Okay, tough crowd.” he said, following after her with taking his own shot, throat bobbing as he swallowed.
“I’m not really in the mood, Rafe.” She sat back and sighed, chasing the tequila with her second beer.
“‘Kay. Whatever.” he grumbled, avoiding her gaze.
They didn’t speak for a while, but it was clear Rafe was growing restless with the need to be entertained, because he broke the silence eventually.
“So where the fuck were you guys for a month?” Rafe asked, leaning back in the cushions across from her and spreading his arms over the back of the couch, his legs wide. She didn’t answer until she looked over to him and realized his eyes were on her, studying her, but starting to glaze. She felt strangely self-conscious under his gaze. He took a swig of his beer.
“Stranded.”
“Where?”
“An island.”
Rafe snorted, “Bet that was tons of fun.”
“What’s that supposed to mean?”
“Being stranded with my sister and John B. All of the Pogues.”
Kiara realized she hadn’t actually eaten much that day. That must be why she could already feel the two beers and tequila. “Better than being stranded with you.” she said under her breath.
Rafe laughed, taking a long swig, “Yeah? Didn’t you hook up with John B.? How’s that dynamic treating you?” he tilted his head.
“That was a long time ago.” she mumbled. Kiara had realized quickly that John B. didn’t feel the same way she had.
“Oh? So who is it now? Pope?”
“Shut up.” she scowled, avoiding his gaze.
Rafe grinned, leaning forward on the table, “Yup, there it is. You fuck him too?”
“Shut up , Rafe.”
“Jeez, Kie, I really didn’t think you had it in you.” he said, shaking his head.
“You don’t know what you’re talking about.” she spat.
She already felt bad enough about her relationships with her friends. She didn’t need judgment from Rafe Cameron, of all people.
“You fuck ‘em at the same time?” Rafe asked, licking at his lip.
“If you’re going to be a prick I am going outside.” Kiara said, rising from her seat and making towards the deck.
She knew she shouldn’t let Rafe get to her. He loved pushing her buttons.
“Oh, c’mon I was just messing with you.” Rafe said, throwing his hands up and taking another sip of his beer, but he was grinning as he said it. She rolled her eyes and turned to head out of the main cabin when he yelled after her, “Look, if you wanna fuck every Pogue in the Outer Banks then go for it. I’m not stopping you.”
Something in Kiara snapped at that. She turned back around and stalked back over to him, “You know, maybe if you were nice to anyone, like, ever, your family would actually want to be around you and you wouldn’t be in this fucking mess!”
She didn’t have time to react before he was up too, right in her face, “Hey, you don’t know the lengths I’ve gone for my fucking family. I had to step up when my Dad was in hiding and after he got hurt, okay? Everything I’ve done has been for my family.” Anger took over his face, his body, it was clear in his stance.
“Yeah you keep saying that but everyone hates you anyways. They’re probably all glad you’re not around right now.” Kiara was heated now, fueled off of the hate that Rafe brought out in her.
“You don’t think I fucking know? That I’m a fucking failure? That I’ll always be second best to precious fucking Sara? I know that!” Rafe snarled, grabbing her arms, shaking her, “I fucking know that!”
“Rafe, don’t fucking touch me!” Kiara forcefully yanked her arm out of his grasp. He had a good head in height on her so she had to look up at him, which she hated. She needed higher ground.
She backed away, panting from the exertion and the shock of Rafe’s touch on her. It should have disgusted her. But instead it sent a tingling through her entire body. She needed to get off of this boat.
Rafe instead drew near, closing his hand around her throat, “What, not into it if it’s not with a Pogue?” he sneered from above.
Kiara’s eyes widened. He wasn’t squeezing hard enough to cut off her air, just enough to keep her in place.
Rafe narrowed his eyes, “Oh, don’t give me that look, Kie. I know you’re not really scared of me. You made that clear a long time ago.”
“You’re right, I’m not.” she stood still, giving him a deadpan glare to show she wasn’t affected having his hand wrapped around her throat. It wasn’t entirely the truth, but he didn’t need to know that. He didn’t need to know that what she was feeling then was a horrifying mix of anticipation and want.
“Yeah, you seem to be the only one. Always thought it was ‘cause you had the hots for me.” Rafe brought his mouth against her cheek, almost caressing her face. He smirked as she squirmed and tried to push his hand off of her neck. But his fingers were secure around her throat.
She succeeded in pulling her face enough away that he could see her lip curl as she delivered venom, “You wish, Rafe. But no one will ever love someone as pitiful as you.”
Rafe glared at her, blue eyes icy. If looks could kill she’d surely be dead. But then his face changed and he smirked at her again, licking at a bead of sweat on the side of his lip. “Yeah? I could say the same about you. Always available when the Pogues need you but never the first choice.”
She faltered, a lump forming in her throat.
Rafe grinned. He knew that he had struck a nerve.
So she reacted the only way she could think of, and punched him clear in the jaw.
It was a direct hit, and succeeded in getting him to take his hand off of her neck. He let go of her neck immediately and brought his fingers up to his bottom lip that was now bleeding. He stood in shock for several moments, eyes wide at the blood that came away on his hand.
Several seconds went by as they both stared at each other in disbelief.
And then Rafe abruptly changed his posture, lunging at her. Her reflexes told her to run, but where? The boat was only so big. She would have to fight. She prepared for the worst.
But he didn’t attack her. No, he brought his hands up to her neck and through her hair and crushed his mouth to hers.
What the hell?
She was so shocked she went limp as he kissed her, hard and passionate. The tang of blood briefly on her tongue from where she had hit him. His hands twisted in her hair, tugging gently to tip her head up to his.
Kiara snapped out of it and pulled away, backing up into the table behind her, disgust and confusion all over her face.
But Rafe’s expression was full of heat.
“Always wanted you, Kie.” he said it slowly, eyes glued to her mouth. He was practically panting, chest moving up and down. It was like he was in a lust-filled trance. “More than any of those stupid Pogues.”
It lit something inside her. How Rafe of all people had read her situation amongst the Pogues was a mystery, but he was right. She was always the leftovers choice, for when one of the guys was lonely. John B. hadn’t wanted her. Pope hadn’t wanted her, and JJ always made things unnecessarily complicated.
“You’re lying.” she said, crossing her arms.
“No, I swear. I’ve wanted you since we were kids. I know you feel it, too.” he said, daring her to admit to it. She would never do that, but it was satisfying to hear Rafe confirm he had felt the same all those years–
What was she thinking? This was Rafe Cameron . The monster responsible for making the Pogues’ lives hell for the past year. She couldn’t entertain him like this.
“You’re delusional. I don’t want anything to do with you.” she insisted, looking away from him.
“Yeah, I know. It only makes me hotter for you.” he admitted, intense eyes on her. His words involuntarily sent a thrill through her. She needed to stop this. Now. But not before an idea formed in her head. One that was too good for her to ignore.
Kiara tipped her nose up and crossed her arms, “Beg for it.” she said, making sure to hide her amusement. There’s no way he would do it, but she wanted the satisfaction of seeing him realize he wasn’t going to win this battle. That she wasn’t actually that easy.
But to her surprise Rafe immediately got to his knees, met her gaze and pleaded, “Please, Kie.” a pained expression on his face.
“Tell me how much you want it.” she said, silently reveling in the way she had power over him now. She hadn’t expected him to bend so easily. But having power over Rafe Cameron? Too good to pass up, if even just for a moment. She wouldn’t actually indulge him. No, she absolutely could not do that.
Rafe started to rise up but Kie shook her head, “No. Crawl over here and beg on your knees.”
He didn’t immediately move, deliberating.
Kiara smirked, triumphant.
But Rafe slowly bowed his head, and then crawled on all fours until he was directly in front of her. She would have burst into laughter, but then he leaned his forehead against one of her thighs, rubbing the side of his face on her leg, and– oh, wow . The feeling of him sitting between her legs made her insides flip.
She didn’t immediately shove him off, like she should have. “I want it so bad, you have no idea.” he mumbled, looking back up at her with his head still leaning on her.
Her bravado wavered. This was only fun if she had the power here, but his proximity was only making her feel weaker.
He placed his lips delicately on the side of her knee, and then the other and then kissed again a little higher up, hiking her pants up her legs and leaving a scorching trail between them. “So, so bad.” he moaned between touching his lips to her tanned skin.
She shouldn’t want this. She shouldn’t be anticipating him making his way up her thighs, heat pooling where they met in the middle.
Instead of making his way all the way up her legs, Rafe rose slowly, the cold absence of his head between them disappointing, which wholly annoyed her.
Licking his bottom lip he circled his hands around her thighs. She could feel the cold press of his ring against her skin. His eyes never left hers, causing heat to surge through her body. He leaned into her, pushed her back onto the table and positioned himself between her thighs. “Only ever wanted you.” he said, voice gravelly as he bowed his head to rest against hers.
Was she really going to let this happen?
Apparently she was, because when he bent down again to brush his lips over hers, she met him halfway. And he took her cue and ran with it, hooking his hands under her legs and pulling her closer still until their pelvises met. Rafe’s dick was thick in his pants, straining against the fabric and rubbing against her silk pajamas. It only made her insides clench in anticipation, heat radiating inside of her.
The way he kissed her as he ran his long fingers up her thighs was surprisingly gentle, tongue flicking into her mouth and pulling away just as she met it with hers. She wanted more, clasping her hand around his neck and deepening the kiss until their tongues swirled together wildly and Rafe was thrusting against her over their pants.
He tugged at the silk waistband, breaking away to focus on pulling the silver fabric down. “Lift up,” he breathed, pulling them the rest of the way, revealing her lilac lace underwear. He studied them, brows furrowed. “Cute,” he said, and then abruptly yanked them to the side.
Kiara briefly got nervous as she looked behind them, worried another boat might pass by and see what they were doing. But the ocean was dark around them, not a single thing in sight on the black water.
Rafe moaned as he ran one finger through her public hair and along her clit. Those eyes met hers briefly from above and then her mouth. And then they were kissing again. He was careful with her, caressing her with one finger as he mimicked the movements on her tongue with his. She moaned, causing Rafe to smile against her lips. He had to know how he was affecting her, there was no mistaking it now. No turning back.
Kiara gasped as his fingers went lower, and he pushed two fingers inside of her. Pushing deeper until his ring was at her opening and pulling back out of her slowly, all while keeping his thumb moving on her swollen clit. She knew she’d already be lubricated because she had been extremely turned on since they started kissing.
“God, you’re so fucking wet,” Rafe panted against her mouth, “I knew it. You wanted this as much as I did.”
“No I didn’t.” Kiara shook her head, but his finger treatment was involuntarily causing her to writhe against him. She was approaching outright fucking his fingers now.
“Oh? Fine. If you don’t want it we don’t have to.” Rafe frowned and started to pull his fingers out, backing away.
“Wait no I…”
“You what?” he asked, eyeing her from above.
“I do. Want it.”
Rafe smirked, “Yeah? Then lay back and let me fuck you.” he whispered, his breath tickling her ear.
He pushed her back and she didn’t protest. She’d tell herself it was the beer, and the heat and the hunger that made her let him push her back and hike her leg up. That made her sit back and watch in awe as he unzipped his chinos and took out his dick. He was long and hard and throbbing, precum beading at his tip.
He met her opening and bit his lip, eyes on the way she took him as he pushed into her. And then fluttering closed as he was fully submerged. Kiara braced herself against the table as he plunged in further, filling her up. He practically collapsed against her, like being inside her had released all of the tension from his own body.
“Jesus fucking Christ , Kie.” he said finally, thrusting slowly into her at first. He was so slow, testing how much she could take, but he quickly made pace, grabbing her hips for balance as he drove into her, “You feel so fucking good.”
“Shut up.” she said. Maybe if she pretended it wasn’t him she wouldn’t feel so bad about the way she had gotten soaked for him. The glorious feeling of having him thrusting into her while his fingers worked her clit over.
He moaned in response. Kiara could feel the pleasure building in her as she met him with every thrust and he kissed at the tender flesh of her neck. The sensation sent a shiver through her as he nipped and licked at her.
Rafe pulled away, sweat beading his forehead, and rapidly pulled off his dress shirt before meeting her lips again and bringing a hand up to cup one of her breasts, thumbing her hardened nipple through the fabric of her shirt.
Before she could protest he had pulled up the tank, exposing her chest to him before he lowered himself down to tongue one of her nipples, nipping at the brown areola and sucking each, eliciting a moan from her as she threw her head back. His fingers moved to part her labia again before his dick was inside of her once more. The sensation of his mouth working over her and his dick inside of her had her nearly exploding with pleasure.
She let out an embarrassing moan and bucked against him.
“Yeah, you liked that, didn’t you?” he whispered in her ear, continuing to move in her.
“I’ll never admit to that.” she panted.
“Whatever,” he chuckled, standing up straight and pulling one of her legs up over his shoulder to get a better angle inside of her. She watched the hard plans of his tanned chest and abs shifting as he held her in place and moved inside of her.
He bit at her ankle and then planted a light kiss under the anklet she always wore, meeting her gaze as he thrusted harder again.
There was nothing but lust in his eyes. John B. hadn’t looked at her like that. Pope hadn’t looked at her like that. Nobody had ever looked at her like that.
He promptly leaned back over her and sucked at her neck again before managing to breath out, “ Fuck , Kie.”
Rafe pulled out of her quickly. He kept his head buried into her neck and stilled, coming undone on her stomach in milky streams, breathing ragged and harsh. She wasn’t far behind but it was clear he was done from the way he stood against her, trying to get control of his breathing.
“Okay, can you get off of me?” she pushed against his bare chest.
Rafe let her push him away, putting his hands up in defense, “Alright, you don’t have to get hostile about it.”
Kiara warily moved to sit up and pull her shirt down, but Rafe caught her arm. “Woah, woah, woah. Where do you think you’re going?”
“You came?”
Rafe laughed, throwing his head back, “Yeah but you didn’t, did you? What, you think I’m just gonna use you to get off and then dump you?” Rafe leaned down so his lips were almost against her earlobe, “No, I want to see the look on your face when I make you come.” he whispered, all smiles gone.
Kiara was so taken aback she didn’t fight him when he closed the gap between their mouths and kissed her–hard. When he brought a hand around her thigh and pulled her waist to his she let him.
He pulled away and swiped his index and middle fingers across her stomach, coating them in his cum, and then brought them to her mouth. “Suck.” he commanded.
She opened her mouth a little and he didn’t hesitate to push his fingers in, eyes stuck on her mouth around them. The salty flavor infused her tongue as he slowly moved his fingers in and out.
“That’s a good girl,” Rafe whispered before pulling his fingers out and bringing his mouth back to hers.
His tongue dipped into her mouth as they kissed, swirling around and flicking against hers. But just as soon as it happened Rafe pulled away, bringing his mouth down to her neck and sucking on the skin there, and then he got on his knees, kissing her chest and stomach on the way down until he nuzzled his face between her thighs.
“Rafe, I–”
“I want a taste of this pussy.” he said, cutting her off. His words sent a shiver down her body.
She bit her lip as he brought his tongue along her thigh and then up to graze over her clit, moving in circles against her, sending a wave of pleasure through her.
He moaned and she could feel the vibration against her, which only sent her closer to climax. “You taste so good.” he said, bringing his tongue along her opening below and then bringing his fingers back up to it. He pushed them inside her again and fucked her with them. His pace was slow and deliberate, like they had all the time in the world.
“Rafe,” she breathed, throwing her head back. The feel of his tongue on her with his fingers inside her was maddening.
“Yeah? Say it again.” he said, lifting his head from between her thighs to gaze up at her, his mouth wet. She glared at him, and he repeated himself, “Kie, say my name.”
“No.” she said, but the image of him looking up at her from between her thighs had her voice shaky.
“Say my fucking name or I stop.” his fingers stilled inside of her, and she hated herself for being disappointed. “C’mon, Kie. You know the words.” he nuzzled his head between her legs again, but made to pull his fingers out of her.
She must have been insane because she moaned, “No, wait.”
“Yeah?”
“Rafe, please .”
“Please what?”
“Please don’t stop.”
“Okay, but I’m gonna need just a little more enthusiasm from you, Kie. I know you’re holding back.” he tutted, bringing his tongue back to her swollen bud and sucking lightly.
She tried not to hold back, bucking against his face and crying out.
“Yeah? How’s that?” he flicked his tongue against her again and grinned.
“Good. So good.” she whined, gripping the top of his head.
Kiara ground into his face, holding his head in place as the pleasure built inside of her again and reached a level that had her crying out and throwing her head back again, “Oh, Rafe !”
She came like she never had before. Rafe surely felt it on his fingers and his mouth, for he sat back, fingers still inside her and a smirk across his face.
“That’s what I thought.” he said, lifting up from where he knelt.
She glowered at him in disgust as Rafe picked his shirt up off of the floor of the boat and wiped it across her stomach, cleaning up the rest of the mess he had made.
He towered over her, watching her for a brief moment, but then backed away, leaving her puzzled and struggling to catch her breath against the table.
“Nothing’s changed. I still hate you.” Kiara said, because it felt like the right thing to say. She stubbornly pulled her shirt down and her shirt strap up as she pushed away from the table, and then pulled her pants on, combing her fingers through her hair that was surely wild around her.
“Yeah, whatever. My bedroom’s in the back on the left.” Rafe said, carelessly throwing his shirt onto the kitchen counter.
“I’m not sleeping in there with you.” Kiara said, crossing her arms and halting.
Rafe looked back to her, amused, “What? We can fuck but we can’t sleep in the same bed?”
“No. I don’t want you anywhere near me right now.” Kiara said. Maybe if she said it out loud it would be completely true. Maybe it would erase what had just happened.
“Suit yourself.” Rafe shrugged, grabbing a pillow and disappearing into the back of the boat.
Kiara entered one of the other bedrooms, locking the door behind her, shame and regret hitting her all at once. What had she done?
