After moving into the dorms it was a common occurrence to see people laughing and hanging out in the common areas, people of different friend groups lounging on the couches doing homework, playing games or even just chatting.
1- A has been through a lot with the USJ and the recent attack on the summer camp so no one can blame them for wanting to be regular teenagers every once in a while.
It was one of these seemingly average evenings after school when Denki’s life changed.
Denki, Sero and Mina were sitting around the coffee table trying to finish their English homework and Deku and Iida were sitting on the couch’s next to them talking about that new All Might documentary that came out after the number one retired.
“Why does Present Mic Sensi hate us!” Denki complained “why do we even need to learn English in the first place” Denki dramatically flops onto the ground.
“Come on man, it's not that bad.” Sero says trying to make him feel better.
“That’s easy for you to say! You don’t have the lowest score in the class.”
Denki hated English. He hated most homework but mostly English. It never made sense to him and all the words just blended together so he couldn’t tell one word from the other.
Denki was bored and when he’s bored he does stupid things. An idea pops in Denki’s little brain and suddenly he sits up and looks at Iida with a mischievous grin.
“I wonder what our dear class prez would look like without glasses.”
Sero tries to grab Denki before he stands up and makes his way over to Iida but fails and flops to the ground.
“Denki don’t”
But Denki doesn’t listen as he walks up to Iida and takes his glasses.
“What is the meaning of this Kaminari!” Iida yelled
“Oh come on class prez you gotta loosen up a bit, I just want to see what you looked like without glasses, not bad! You should get contacts.”
Denki lifts the glasses out of Iida’s reach from where he’s sitting on the couch and then the best idea Denki has ever had pops in his brain, “I wonder what I look like with glasses!”
Denki puts on iidas glasses..
Blinks…
“Um, Kaminari? You good?” Deku sounds concerned.
Denki looks over at deku and blinks again. He’s not sure what to think. Denki just thought putting on Iida’s glasses would be funny, make him look smart or something. Looking at Deku, Denki sees something he hadn’t seen before. Little dots across his cheeks like stars in the sky. Is that what freckles look like?
“Holy shit dude how long have you had freckles!” Denki grabs Deku's face with both hands examining it like he’s never seen it before.
“All my life I guess” Dekus voice is muffled from Denki squishing his cheeks together examining the freckles “are you ok kaminari?”
“Yeah! Yeah I just didn’t realize you had freckles before. Everyone’s said you have freckles but I’ve never seen them before.”
“How could you not realize he had freckles? It's like the cutest thing about him!” Mina yells from across the room.
“Holy shit dude! Denks do you need glasses??” Sero asks (the only smart one in the room apparently)
Denki just stares at him like he has 2 heads, which, now that he has Iidas glasses on he knows for certain Sero does NOT have 2 heads.
“I don’t know! You’re telling me everyone sees everything this clearly!”
“Well, not me currently because you took. My. Glasses.”
“Right, sorry Iida, hold on just a sec!” Denki then walks over to his English homework and stares down at it. The words finally separating so he can read them!
“Holy shit!”
“Kaminari, could you please give me back my glasses and we can talk to Recovery Girl in the morning to get your eyes checked out.”
Denki reluctantly nods and hands back Iida's glasses.
“Thank you”

The next morning Kaminari is walking out of Recovery Girls office with a pep in his step and new glasses due to arrive by the end of the week.
When the glasses do arrive he puts them on right away and wonders how he went so long without realizing he needed them in the first place.
His glasses are a classic black, with yellow on the underside and silver lightning bolts on the side to match the one in his hair. He thought that was a nice touch.
Let it be known that kaminari might be as blind as a bat but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t appreciate looking good.
