Chapter Text
A bright light and several wires scattered on the floor were the first things that welcomed him, a contrast to the dark void that accompanied the boy for a while. He blinked trying to adapt himself to the new ambient until a new figure stood out. A man with blonde hair and bright blue eyes. His hair was messy and he looked quite tired, but he still smiled while looking at the boy.
"You.. You're finally awake.", he said, tone full of enthusiasm and admiration.
Tommy stayed still, all the information saved in his software quickly filled his mind with what he needed. The robot slowly opened his mouth to say a muffled 'dad', which was quickly followed by a warm smile and a hug from the older one. The two stayed like that for what felt like hours until Philza finally let go of the embrace. He looked at Tommy before talking again.
"After years of research and development you are here, Will and Techno are going to be so happy to see you-"
The sound of a door opening and two other voices interrupted Philza, who looked startled by the noise until he realized who opened the door. Two guys appeared by the door. One of them had long pink hair carefully put into a braid. He was wearing glasses, probably reading ones by seeing a thick book on his hands, a white shirt with a collar and puffy sleeves paired with black pants and boots.
An outfit straight out of the 16th century. Tommy almost cringed at the thought, his programming did not prepare him for this. (Which was a lie. His programming served him with all the information possible about the twins. But no one needs to know about it.)
Next to the pink haired guy stood a slight taller man. He had brown curly hair and fake glasses. Which is, not gonna lie, probably a red flag by this point. Red flags apart, the guy was properly dressed for the 21st century, differently from his counterpart who seemed stuck centuries ago. He had a simple outfit consisting of a yellow sweater, dark blue jeans and some nice shoes.
Before he even noticed brown and red eyes were already locked into his own blue, and robotic, eyes.
The blonde took the stares as a signal to present himself. "Hello, I’m Tommy! You guys must be Technoblade and Wilbur.", he waited for a moment but for some reason the two just continued staring at him, hm what weirdos.
Seeing the awkward situation Philza coughed and chimed in the poor excuse of a conversation, “Look, I know that this is quite strange, but I told you guys before that I was going to activate him today.”, he paused and put a hand on the boy's shoulder, “Just be nice to your little brother, alright?”
“Not little”, Tommy rapidly intervened.
“Yeah, not little at all.”, Philza happily added.
Wilbur approached the two and finally speaked, “Sorry, Dadza. I simply didn’t think he would look entirely like you, you know! He’s like a mini version of you”, he said the last part in a provoking tone.
"I already told you that I'm not little", Tommy said, "Geez, is your memory capacity small like that?", he unexpectedly joked with a smirk.
Exactly after eleven seconds and five milliseconds Techno and Phil bursted into laughter while Wilbur deadpanned his family. Techno chuckled, "Wow Wilbur, you were destroyed by a toddler.", he cracked a grin and added, "What a loser."
"HEY! At least I'm not a nerd, Tech-no-blade", Wilbur beamed at Techno's annoyed but still quite blank expression.
"Humph, at least I read books.", he answered, slightly annoyed at his twin.
Before Wilbur could reply Philza stepped in, "Alright, boys! I think it's time that we test Tommy's system with all our information."
Tommy beamed in while still storing the joke that made them laugh (he still needs to develop his own humor, alright?).
"Can you tell me what you know about the twins?"
"Hmmm, let me see.", his eyes returned to his brothers while he scanned them. "Technoblade has natural brown hair but likes to paint it pink, his eyes are brown with a tint of red and he occasionally uses glasses for reading."
He waited for a moment and took the silence to continue, "He is really good at fencing and is a professional at cooking with potatoes for some reason (really? Potatoes??). He also likes to read Greek mythology books, like the nerd he is.", Wilbur started to giggle at that but stopped when Tommy turned to him.
"Wilbur, on the other hand, kept his hair brown and also had brown eyes. He wears fake glasses just 'cause he thinks it's fashion.", this time Techno was the one to smile while Wilbur just stares clearly annoyed.
"He's a musician, a talented one if I do say so. He can be annoying sometimes, but nothing exceeds his love for salmo-
"NOOO, WHY DID YOU TELL HIM THIS, PHIL??", Wilbur intervened with an embarrassed face.
"Sorry, mate. Techno said to me to add that.", he said in a not so sorry tone.
"TECHNO?? YOU JUST BETRAYED ME LIKE THAT?"
"What? You told Phil to add that I'm a nerd. I was just defending myself.", Techno said while still maintaining his expression-less face, but you could still see the subtle way his lips curved upwards.
"And how about Tommy says what he knows about our old man, huh?", Wilbur suggested.
"No, mate. It's nothing that you already don't know-", Philza was interrupted by Wilbur talking again, "Hey, Tommy! Did you know that Philza's wife is a fridge?", Wilbur teased.
"Wilbur, your girlfriend is a fish."
"Shut up, Techno! Don't talk about Sally like that."
"Not my problem if she decided to leave you that day on the river. There are plenty of fish in the sea for you, Wilbur.", Techno said while still in his deadpan manner.
"STOP TALKING ABOUT FISH!!"
Tommy just woke up and he already has a sense that this is going to be a looooong day.
___
After all the family members introduce themselves (with even the participation of the fridge), the boy saw himself in a medium sized room. His own bedroom, Philza had told him.
The room was fairly simple, it had a bed with red sheets and a pillow, a drawer, some shelfs and a desk with a black chair. The walls were plain white with a single window in one of them and a small mirror on the other, nothing interesting or really colorful, but he will fix it soon.
He goes over to the drawer and opens it, revealing some clothes like jeans and shirts. By the look of it, soon he would have to do some shopping with his family. Tommy quickly removes Techno from his inviting list, he doesn’t want to look like he time traveled or something like that. Perhaps he should ask Wilbur to go with him?
Tommy looked at his clothes, they consisted of a red and white baseball shirt, cargo pants and nice red sneakers. They were overall nice, but after contemplating for a while he noticed what the outfit was lacking: an accessory.
The boy turned back to the drawer and started searching for any other piece. In his short search for an accessory that would live up to his robotic standard, he found a single square piece of fabric. This will do, he thought to himself (not like anyone is listening, I'm looking at you, sneaky hackers).
Tommy grabbed the piece and traced his finger over the fabric, noticing the texture and the softness of it. The cloth had a vivid blue color, more exactly a royal blue, his system- or well, his mind- supplied. He tied the fabric around his neck like a bandana, paying attention to not make the knot too loose or too tight.
The robot approaches the mirror and looks at himself. He runs his hand through his hair while taking in all the visual information: Blonde hair stands out on his head like its own crown, while smooth skin covers the steel and aluminum that occur to be present on his body. His vivid blue eyes resembled the so-called blue sky, with his own soulful human-like gaze.
Another gesture of how much time and work Philza dedicated to this project.
With a ‘hmm’ his eyes wandered to his current attire. The shade of blue, brought by the bandana, suits the red nicely. Oh yeah, that’s all the style that he needed for today, he thinks as he turns away from the mirror to give the room one more look.
This time he gives more attention to the few shelves in the room. There were some books, a small mirror and a flower pot. Tommy went through the book options until a gardening book caught his eye.
The book was left on the side of the flower pot, his system identified the flower as a coreopsis, a bright and cheerful yellow flower. He was about to pick up the book, but when it was in his reach a voice was heard. It was Philza calling him and his brothers to the living room.
Tommy huffed in discontent, now he would have to read the book later. He knows that all the information in the book can be found on the internet, but what would be the fun of it anyways?
Even though he was still a little annoyed, Tommy still went to the bedroom door, turned off the lights and left the room. He walked down the hall already with an idea in mind.
It isn’t going to hurt if he reads a little instead of recharging his energies after this, right?
