“I heard she was experimented on by Shockwave!” One bot said. “She’s so messed up from it that she just went crazy!”
“Nah, it’s the fembot thing, makes them messed in the main processor.” Another said, giggling.
“She’s actually secretly a double agent and has to constantly prove herself to the Decepticons.” A third chimed in. He let the statement hang there for a second, before he and the group broke out in raucous laughter.
“I heard she’s just like that, was glitched from the start.” A fourth said. “She drinks protoform energon too.”
“You know what I heard?” A different voice said from the rafters. The four bots looked up, surprised. A quartet of synth-web strands dropped from the ceiling, hitting each of them and binding them up tight. Purple optics appeared out of the gloom. “I heard that she just hates bots like you.”
Airachnid crawled slowly down on a line of synth-web. She reconfigured one of her fingers into a blade. A scalpel. So precise.
Touching down onto the metal floor, she sashayed up to the closest. She couldn’t be bothered to remember what his theory on her was. He would pay dearly for it, whatever he had said.
Her finger touched the edge of his neck, and he let out a muffled yell as her venom began to eat into the metal. There would be time for more artistic displays later, she wanted to savour this one. Airachnid’s finger traced a path across the bot’s neck and under his chin. Her venom melting a ragged cut where her scalpel was clean. Pink energon began to leak from the slash mark and Airachnid finished the cut quickly, a few drops of her venom sprayed with energon over onto one of the other helpless bots.
The energon was flowing faster now, and she could see the bot in front of her starting to fade. She leaned in, and his eyes widened in fear. Did he think she was going to drink his energon? Ha.
Her hand closed around the neck and gripped it tightly. She could feel what was left of it buckling beneath her fingers. The pulse of energon beneath his plating, spewing out onto her fingers, it was beautiful.
She crushed, and the neck screeched with the sound of bending metal. Pulling it up, she decapitated the bot, dragging some internal vertebrae with the head. It slunk out of the bot’s neck like a worm from the earth, each new vertebrae bobbling like some string of ornament being pulled from a box.
She stared up at the skull and spine, then tossed it aside.
