I was like romantic-horny

Summary:

Ainosuke’s just not the perfect caretaker type of guy. Quite the opposite actually.
Tadashi was hurt at S and Ainosuke tries to take care of him. He fails miserably and annoys the hell out of him instead.

[Post-canon]

Notes:

This fic needs to have the same energy as that one scene we see in the final montage with Adam and his lil’ parachute. Unhinged lovey-dovey man wants attention. And tired Tadashi sick of dealing with his bullshit.

This was written for TadaAi week 2022, day 5. The prompts were Fluffy Friday/Modern AUs/BDSM.

(See the end of the work for more notes.)

Work Text:

“Tadashi I’m so bored right now.”

It had been 15 minutes since the heir of the Shindo family had dramatically strutted into the room. He’d showered his lover with little kisses, replaced some of the flowers nearby the window, and sat down beside the other man. After about 10 minutes of small talk, he found he’d run out of stories to tell. It wasn’t that easy to come up with conversation topics when his partner refused to say anything.

“I’m terribly sorry Ainosuke-sama, how inconvenient for you,” Tadashi deadpanned, dry sarcasm in his tone.

“Oh don’t give me that, puppy! It’s not my fault you were injured!” Ainosuke added, crossing his arms with a pout like a little baby’s.

The injury he was referring to was a sprain. Quite a bad one too. Just the night before Tadashi had sprained both his ankle and his knee when falling from the skateboard, and a desperate Ainosuke, still in his S costume, had brought him to the hospital in a hurry.

The Shindo’s most trusted doctors had visited him and arranged for him to stay in a fancy room, where they’d basically strapped him to bed with his leg up in the air. Very movie-like for a sprain.

Far from the last of the Shindo aunts’ prying eyes, Ainosuke was at least happy to be able to act like his soon-to-be-husband’s very own nurse. Or at least, he wanted to. But the reality was that he’d been forced to go back to work during the morning and that when he came back, Tadashi seemed to be very grumpy.

But it wasn’t because of the pain. That had ebbed away rather quickly. No, it was something else.

“You attacked me!” He said in accusation.

Ainosuke gasped, incredulous. “You’re gonna be my husband! I can cuddle you if I want to!” He put his hand on his chest, over his heart, the intensity of a condemned man pleading his case in court.

“Not in front of everybody at S, suddenly, and with your crotch pressed to my ass!” Tadashi didn’t relent. He seemed to hate PDA with particular fervor.

Ainosuke pouted even harder. “But I wasn’t trying to do anything funny! It was just a hug!”

“Hugs are for when you’re not on wheels! You scared me to death, of course I was gonna fall!” He quietly slapped the covers of the bed in indignation.

“Well you could’ve- I don’t know, shut up. Just scoot over.” Ainosuke wanted to dismiss the topic just like that, it seemed.

But Tadashi was having none of it. He looked at the blue-haired man fiercely, a challenge in his stare. Without breaking eye contact, he planted his palms on the mattress and shifted his weight to make some room for the other to lie beside him.

The bed bounced a little when the fully business-clad, taller man jumped ass-first on it. He mimicked a yawn and stretched his arms, then bent his right one to circle Tadashi’s shoulders. “So how’s the pain? You already looked a whole lot better this morning before I left. What did they give you for lunch?”

Ainosuke was absent-mindedly looking at the ceiling fan when he asked, but when a few seconds passed and no answer came he actually turned his face to Tadashi who was staring daggers at him.

The black-haired man crossed his arms in front of his chest and looked the other way, his cute nose angled up and his eyes lidded in disdain.

“Really puppy? The silent treatment? I already said I’m sorry,” he said, waiting in vain for a response before he added, “Is it because I told you to shut up? You know I didn’t mean that.” He tried making his point by latching onto the other’s arm and rubbing his face up into it.

Once again, no answer of any sort.

And yet Ainosuke was not one to give up.

“Come on puppy, you know I love you-” Now he needed to get a reaction out of him. “Are you not even gonna say that back? How cruel can you be…”

Emotional manipulation wasn’t gonna cut it either. Tadashi was unbothered and didn’t even look at him.

“So this is how it’s going to be, huh.”

Ainosuke sounded meek but a mere glimpse at his mischievous smirk would reveal the gears menacingly turning in that little twisted brain of his. He was up to no good.

Ainosuke fished his phone out of his pocket and initially, it seemed as though he was doing nothing but checking emails and messages. But then, out of nowhere, he opened some social media app and all kinds of loud sounds started coming from his phone.

Tadashi was instantly reminded of his own well-concealed homicidal drive whenever he was spending time with his family and his father started messing with his phone, embarrassing himself and bothering everyone in earshot. Why does no one know how to turn down the volume of a stupid cellphone.

But Ainosuke, he knew. He was no old man, after all. Tadashi turned his head toward him and his self-complacent smile fueled his anger even further.

“What? Got something to say?” He asked, adding rhythm to it to make it sound like some childish joke.

Tadashi’s nose scrunched up in contempt and he pressed his lips together. He forced himself to ignore the noise. Which, eventually, stopped.

But oh, it was far from over.

The momentary silence was interrupted by the sound of Tadashi’s message ringtone. He instinctively looked around to search for his phone, but he soon remembered that it was charging on the other side of the room. Obviously, he couldn’t ask Ainosuke to go get it for him. Damn. What if it’s something important?

Tadashi had almost decided to break his stupid vow of silence when his phone let out another notification sound. And another. And another. And it continued until Tadashi had no doubt that the repetitive messages were Ainosuke’s doing. He looked very smug, after all, and kept tapping on his screen without actually paying any mind to what he wrote. He was probably just spamming gibberish letters and sending messages on repeat.

Ding. Ding. Ding. Tadashi couldn't breathe or blink without a ding ding ding right before, after, and in the middle of every physical or mental action he could come up with. Deciding that he no longer wanted to put up with Ainosuke’s little mind games, he lowered himself on the bed and used the pillow to cover his face and ears. The notifications only went on for a while after that, and then complete silence overtook the room again.

Ainosuke let out a long sigh, and Tadashi thought he had finally learned his lesson. How wrong he was.

His lover took a hold of the sleeve of his nightshirt and pulled on it, moving Tadashi’s arm back and forward, whining once again. “Talk to meee!”

Tadashi couldn’t see his face through the pillow, of course, but Ainosuke’s bratty expression was sculpted in his mind by memory. Pursed lips, glossy eyes. Just like a little baby.

He heard a sniffle and assumed Ainosuke had finally calmed down. Maybe he was even ready to apologize.

Wishful thinking.

Suddenly, he felt fingertips touching his skin, and with horror on his face, he jumped back into a sitting position and threw the pillow somewhere beside him. The urge to reprimand his lover was hard to suppress this time. How could he think that trying to have his way with him would be a good idea when this all started precisely because of that? Had he learned nothing about unexpected advances in public spaces?

He was ready to finally snap, but only a light snort came out of his lips as Ainosuke made his real intentions known: he started tickling his sides, from his hips, all the way to his chest and back down. Now- Tadashi was not a ticklish man per se, but Ainosuke knew all the places that would make him giggle and stumble on his words. The unrelenting, feather-light touches continued as Tadashi was too stubborn to talk and too out of breath to physically voice his frustration toward the other man.

Does whimpering count as losing on his part? Tadashi wasn’t sure but he felt defeated when the attack finally stopped and he needed a few minutes for his breath to return and that stupid dopey smile to fade away from his face. He needed to be mad. Concentrate, Tadashi. Don’t let this beautiful man trick you into losing. He thought that, but he knew he was already down too bad to continue this game any longer.

As Tadashi relied on his arms to hold the dead weight of his torso while he recovered from his little “fit,” Ainosuke made his next move. He scooted even closer to the unfortunate patient and let his wandering hand settle on his chest. He looked into his partner’s eyes with a new kind of intensity.

Don’t fall for this, Tadashi, he repeated to himself. But he did let Ainosuke meticulously take care of his shirt’s buttons. The blue-haired man opened it up slowly with a vicious look on his face.

When he finally managed to open the garment completely, he took in the view of the unblemished and pale skin of Tadashi’s exposed front. Absolute love in his eyes. But also mischief.

He lowered his head a little and smirked teasingly. “How about we get a little naughty, puppy?”

Tadashi couldn’t believe Ainosuke was so depraved he would try to have sex with an injured man in a hospital ward. Could he really be that slutty? This was just too much now, how could he even-

“PRRRRRRR”

Tadashi felt a little trickle of saliva on his belly as Ainosuke blew a raspberry on him. Tadashi didn’t know if he wanted to laugh or scream, so he covered his mouth with his hands to prevent either reaction from surfacing. But he could only hold back so much. Only until Ainosuke put his lips on his warm stomach again and blew an even louder one.

Tadashi felt his whole belly vibrating like soft bread dough and couldn’t help it anymore.

“A-Ainosuke-sama! Stop mouth-farting on me!” He whimpered in exasperated panic. He grabbed the other’s head but couldn’t seem to get him off of himself. If anything, the way he moved his head around a bit made it so that the raspberries sounded even more like little farts.

It was only after a few desperate and teary-eyed Stoop! ’s on Tadashi’s part that Ainosuke, well, stopped. He wiped the saliva away from his mouth with the back of his hand as his self-satisfied smirk resurfaced.

“Hehe, you talked to me.”

Tadashi was disappointed in himself for his lack of control.

Years before some would have said control was his one redeeming quality.

He’d changed since then. Everything had changed really. And it was fine. Ainosuke and Tadashi were only allowed to be happy because things changed, after all. They could joke about silly little nothings now, and live their lives without a care in the world.

Tadashi tilted his head forward so that his forehead was touching Ainosuke’s and looked into his eyes. He gave him a peck on the lips and leaned back again with a big sigh and a small, exasperated grin.

“You’re such a jerk.”

Notes:

I legit googled “best ways to annoy people.”
I actually feel like I have a real connection to Ainosuke there, I particularly love being a nuisance and causing mayhem on purpose.

I think it’s funny how in most of my fics Aiichiro is dead and the aunts are slowly dying too like lmao ok the violence. I just need them out of the way for my babygirls to be happy and thriving >:)
If you happen to read tomorrow's fic… well let's just say you'll come crawling back to this one.
