When Deadpool gets caught by the Department of Mutant Corrections, Spider-Man didn't intervene. Wracked with guilt, Peter decides something needs to be done, and especially because he knows that the inhibitor collars the D.M.C. uses will eventually kill his best friend.

“You’re right.” Peter grabs his mask and pulls it back on again. “I didn’t hear a thing.”
Plausible deniability. Tony has a lot of other asses to cover, not just his own.
> Dr. Strange will get him out of here once he gets to Wade. Peter is just a little miffed that Strange wouldn’t just bamf Wade out of there himself. This is a learning experience, or some other mumbo jumbo. Being Sorcerer Supreme comes with the requirement to be a cryptic jerkwad, apparently.
love how connected he is to the super community> “Where is Deadpool?” The voice modulator in the helmet makes him sound like someone else entirely, and nothing like Spider-Man. Because Peter thinks ahead.
“Fuck you, shit head.” The guys struggles, kicking at Peter.
It’s as effective as being hit by a wet paper towel. Peter lifts him up and slams him back into the ground, not exactly being nice about it.
EEEEEE WADE I SEE THE VISION THE SPIDEY STRENGTH IS SO> Wade’s grin slips into something bordering on deliriously happy. “You said you love me.”
“Yeah, well...” Peter looks away and crosses his arms, trying very hard not to pout, or sulk, or acknowledge the searing burn of embarrassment dying his whole face red completely without his consent. “Not like I’m hearing it in return or anything.”
“I’ll break into the Bugle during Jameson’s next podcast and announce how much I love you to the entire city.
