Chapter Text
When Shinsou joined the class, they had been startled by the change. They preferred class 1-A over their other class, but they did miss some people. However, the class went out of their way to make sure they felt comfortable. Shinsou would never admit how happy they were when the class accepted them. The class accepted them with open arms, and if they later went to Aizawa in tears because they were accepted, no one knew but two.
The rhythm of the class was a little tricky to get down. Everyone had a different style and pace and it was disorienting being dropped in the middle of an already established pattern. Shinsou had shied away and offered to pick up any slack as they saw it. After about a week of this, some members of the class (Satou, Shouji, Sero, Tokoyami) informed them that they didn’t have to. That they could just be themselves. This took some time for Shinsou to get used to, but eventually they were completely comfortable in the class. Shinsou understood everything the class did. Except one thing.
When Shinsou had joined, the class had added them to two chats. One contained Aizawa and the other didn’t. At first, Shinsou didn’t think much of it. They understood why there would be a chat without their teacher. The thing that bothered them was that they had heard someone briefly mention The Accident. Now, all that was heard was “I’m so happy The Accident happened. We can talk about our Dad experiences in this chat.” As it would for anyone, this piqued Shinsou’s interest. The issue was no one would tell them what The Accident was. Shinsou was so curious they almost asked Aizawa. Almost.
One day, pity was finally granted. Shinsou had finally been answered. Ojiro had decided it was important for Shinsou to know. What had happened was Yaoyorozu had sent an analysis in the chat without thinking. It had been an in depth analysis on why Eraserhead should, if not Number 1 Hero, at least be on the top 10 charts for heroes. She hadn’t taken into account the fact that Aizawa aws in the chat. Funnily enough, that was not the whole Accident. That was just the beginning. You see, the class then proceeded to come up with evidence (even if some were ridiculous like how he cared for his students and could fix dvd players) as to why he deserved to be a highly ranked hero.
The discussion was only stopped when Aizawa had finally sent a message into the chat only saying /Please keep this away from my sight. I’m an underground hero for a reason. Also, the hero chart is overrated./
This had sent the kids into a panic since they had forgotten he was in the chat. Therefore, the kids only chat was created. Shinsou had stayed silent for a few moments before asking if the analysis still existed. Later that day, Shinsou received a document filled with evidence.
*What the kids don’t know is that the reason Aizawa didn’t answer sooner was because he was a mess from the moment he read Yaoyorozu’s message. The others certainly didn’t help.*
