Chapter 1: Aizawa's Parents Suck

Chapter Text

Aizawa had just turned 17 not even two weeks ago. He was a third year in high school when he decided it was time. He sat his only remaining parent down, prepared to break the news to her. He wasn't scared honestly. Not initially anyway. He figured it would be alright. So it came as a bit of a shock to him when the opposite occurred. As soon as the words "Mom, I'm gay." Left his mouth, he regretted it just based on the woman's facial expression. The look of utter disgust filled his mother's gaze. His shoulders fell tense, jaw tensing. The woman drew herself up, looking to the side. "Collect your things and get out," She said, voice quiet. Shota lifted his hand, trying to touch his mother's shoulder, "Mom ple-," he was cut off as she pulled her shoulder away. "No son of mine is a faggot. Grab your things and Get out!" She snarled this time. He opened his mouth then closed it, shrinking away from her anger.

He looked away, pursing his lips. Without another word, he turned away, heading up to his room to collect what belongings he wanted to bring along. He wasn't going to fight or argue. He wished he would have done something. Tried talking some sense into her. Something. But he didn't. He packed his duffle bag and his book bag and walked out the front door, taking whatever money he had been saving with him. He had no idea where he was going to go, but, right now, he didn't really care. He set himself on a path down the sidewalks, tired eyes focused on the ground as he went. It wasn't until he finally got out of range of his home- ex-home, that he stopped, and slumped into a bench. It was late at night. He didn't know where to go. He sat fiddling with his hands quietly for a second, running the events through his head.

He breathed out softly as an Idea popped into his head. It was a long shot that the other would be awake, but it was the only option his mind would provide at the moment. He dragged himself up and started on his way again, making his way quietly through the streets. He didn't stop moving until he came to the house of the blonde. Even as hesitation welled up in his stomach, he made his way up the stairs to the other's porch quietly, freezing in front of the door, and bringing his hand up before drawing out a knock onto his friend's door. He honestly didn't have his hopes up that someone would answer. It was really late by the time he had arrived. By car, it was like a twenty-minute drive from where he had lived to Hizashi's house, Which would probably add up to being about an hour and a half on foot. He sighed softly to himself when nobody came to the door immediately, taking a step back to leave and find a different solution to his problem. In the process of leaving, the door opened a bit, revealing a tired and confused looking blonde.

"Shota?" The other blinks in surprise, making the dark-haired male stop in his tracks and look back to the door. He hesitated a bit before clearing his throat softly. "Hey." He said softly, although not half smiling like might if he was on a normal standard. A concerned look fell over the other. "You alright? You look like you're going for a hike. Did your mom drop you off?" Hizashi questions, trying for a smile. Shota opened his mouth then closed it. He didn't have an answer to the first question and he honestly didn't trust himself to answer the first one.

"I'm out of the closet, I guess?" He answered after a moment, smiling weakly. The blonde's smile immediately dropped, getting the hint as to what had happened. "Shota, I'm so sorry-" Hr started "Don't be." Aizawa cuts him off, casting his look to the side. The dark haired male pursed his lips.

"I was wondering if I would be able to stay the night?" Shota questions, lips pursed. He wouldn't press if the other said no. Of course, the blonde would never do that to Aizawa. Yamada walked out, moving behind Aizawa and walked him towards the door. "Of fucking course." He huffed, guiding the other inside and leading the boy upstairs. He had quite a few siblings, that were all asleep, so he was quiet as they moved past the other rooms. "I'll let my parents know you're here, okay? Make yourself at home, Shota," He said to the other once they made it to Yamada's bedroom. Hizashi was lucky enough to have been granted his own room after his older sister moved out so it was probably a good thing. He moved, pushing Aizawa to sit on the bed before heading out to wake his parents and let them know what was going on.
