Well…
Will swallows, eyes focused pointedly on Mike’s long, slender fingers. The way they twist and they pull, fixing the broken strap to Will’s backpack.
Will Byers loved when Mike fixed things for him.
It was becoming a problem.
He didn’t mean to start doing it, but it just… happened. Maybe he was using Mike’s kindness against him, but it was difficult not to, and Will couldn’t feel too badly about it when Mike looked down at him with lidded eyes, one hand dragging up along Will’s side, voice sweet. “Better?”
“Yeah,” Will murmurs, grabbing the bag with trembling fingers. “Yeah, it’s better.”
Or, Will comes up with a plan that could benefit the both of them. Mike gets to be a hero in every day life, and Will? He gets to have Mike's attention.

Will feels his heart swell, but it still stays ready to deflate.
Mike suddenly feels like he can’t breathe, and that Will’s face is too close but not close enough. He feels their teary gasps mix together in the air of his bedroom. He can’t take it anymore. His mind effectively goes blank.
He rushed forward, closing the gap between them. Will’s eyes are wide as he feels Mike’s mouth connect with his. The air feels incredibly thick. Thick with confession, a decade of tension, and realization.
Does Mike love him too?

“Did I do something wrong?” Mike questions, mouth twisted in a frown, eyes less wide than they were a few moments ago, sleepiness gone. His arms stay at his sides, although his fingers fiddle with his sleeves. “What did I do wrong?”
Will frowns back. “You didn’t do anything wrong.”
Mike doesn’t look like he believes him. Will doesn’t blame him. “Then why do you keep leaving?”
The world ends, and then some. Mike and Will find each other again, amidst the debris and distance.

Summary
Mike Wheeler is working at Scoops Ahoy for the summer, with his close personal enemy, Maxine Mayfield. It's rather bogstandard, until 'Surfer boy's pizza' moves in next door, and Will Byers makes his life a personal hell. Between questionable flirting (mind-games, obviously), a broken slushee machine and his twin sister dating Mike's best-friend, it becomes addictive chaos.

"What?" Mike replied. His gaze bounced between Will's wound, his eyes and his lips.
"I can't do the next part, my hands are too shaky. You'll have to stitch it up."
Mike felt like throwing up. He looked down at the needle and suture sitting in the kit. It's like they were staring at him, mocking him.
"I-"
"Please, Mike."
"I don't want to hurt you, Will."
Will thought that was quite generous of him, considering how much Will had hurt Mike within the last 20 or so minutes. Within the last year and a half, actually.
Will was sure he was looking at an angel, not Mike Wheeler. Or maybe Mike Wheeler was the angel he was looking at. Who would've thought that Mike also had a secret identity this whole time? An angel in disguise.Logline: While on the brink of death, Will decides to pay Mike a late-night visit after not seeing him for a year and a half.
Logline 2: Mike finds out in the craziest way possible that his best friend (who he hasn't seen in over a year) was actually a rooftop-swinging, tight suit-wearing, complete idiot of a superhero and it all starts with waking up to Spiderman bleeding out in his living room.Bookmarked by zomqieboy
