Summary
“I did not expect to see you work as the Starshyna’s messenger boy,” Varka said with a relaxed, almost all-knowing smile. “What happened to Illuga?”
“Nothing,” Flins said. “The Starshyna believes you might try to steal him away from the Ratniki. It is more appropriate if I come instead.”
Varka had to find something funny in Flins’s half-truth, laughing first and then tapping his chin pensively. “Is he not afraid of me trying to steal you away? I’ll say, it seems like his judgment isn’t as sharp as he’d want it to be.”
Varka was a very touch-oriented person. Always clapping shoulders, patting backs, or holding onto his friends’ arms when he laughed too hard. Flins wanted to feel that for himself.
But when he had it, it felt shallow. He missed the lingering touches, their feet playing under the table, their hands gravitating towards one another. He wanted Varka to hold him and never let go.
It was a lot to ask because Varka did not belong to the graveyard or to Nod-Krai. He belonged to his family back in Mondstadt, whom he had never spoken to Flins about.
Because for the first time, it was Flins who was temporary—not the other way around.

Summary
This particular night, Demyan can’t help but notice that Flins and Varka are still on that first bottle of ice wine, glasses still half-full on the table in front of them. At some point during the night, Varka had eased his entire body into the sofa cushions until he was sprawling over more than half of it, his right thigh and foot pressed up against’ Flins’ own. Varka’s arm is wrapped around Flins’ shoulders and he’s laughing.
The flush in Varka’s cheeks and glimmer of mirth in Varka’s eyes leaves Demyan with the impression that Varka may not have stopped laughing over the past few hours.
Five times someone thought Flins and Varka were dating each other and the one time they were. Six outside perspectives on their relationship across the events of 6.0 and 6.1.

Summary
Flins says nothing. He just keeps looking at him, a faint glimmer of something in his eyes, so Varka leans over, raising a hand as he calls for Demyan.
The bartender comes over within minutes, wiping his hands on a rag as he does. “Yes, yes, right here. What can I get you two esteemed gentlemen?”
“Your finest bottle of wine, if you’d please. Put on my tab and make it quick,” he reaches over, clasping Flins by the shoulder. “My pal and I have dinner to get to!”
And if Flins happens to twitch at the words, Varka pays it no mind, too busy discussing the unfortunate state of his tab.
Or: Six loosely interconnected snapshots of Varka and Flins' relationship as it grows from quiet pining to getting together and more.

Summary
Not for the first time, Illuga thinks there must be something wrong with him. Maybe he’s been possessed by the Wild Hunt. Maybe the kuuvahki is finally getting to him; one too many mandragoras, or something like that.
Either way, there has to be a reason. Why else would Illuga keep letting Lohen into his bed? Why else would Illuga allow Lohen to use his body again and again, leaving Illuga with bruised skin, aching bones, and a weary heart?
‘Friends with benefits’ is a phrase he’s heard before, and it makes sense. The life of a Lightkeeper can be cold and lonely, so it’s only natural to seek warmth and comfort from another. But Illuga never expected to find himself in such an arrangement, if what they have can even be called that. Lohen’s rough treatment offers no benefits, and they certainly aren’t friends. Illuga doesn’t even like him.
This can’t possibly be what Flins had in mind when he suggested that Illuga take up a new hobby.
