When Robin recalls the taste of the devil fruit she ate, she is firstly reminded of the sense of relief. Relief that she would not die, for she had found sustenance. Sustenance in the shape of a fruit that fit perfectly in her cupped hands; for the fruit itself, was perfectly rounded and covered in the shape of petals that radiated from its centre.

In retrospect, the time Robin spent with the Straw Hats were not long. A few months could not be compared to the twenty years she had spent on the run.
But those were the most vibrant, chaotic, yet brazenly zealous days of her life.

Walking amongst death was easier than whatever the hell he was feeling now.
It weighs down on his chest, suffocating and unrelenting in its clutches. Worse than the kilogram of weights for his training. Those, he can always win. This, felt impossible.
