Summary
Cori’s always lived a painfully boring life— or at least, that’s the case when he’s awake. For when he sleeps, he’s plagued by terrifying nightmares of brutal, ruthless murder, and feasting on the eyes of his imaginary victims. As distressing as these dreams are, Cori’s come to accept there’s nothing that can be done about them.
That is, until he has a chance encounter with a mysterious therapist at a bar, and his whole world changes.

Summary
“Hey. Breathe.”
Dream does. He inhales through his mouth, and blows the soft air back out. Real air. Living air. It pours down his throat like fresh water, and tastes just like it always has- London air. Human air. The hand on his shoulder loosens.
“Again,” the voice orders, and he obeys without question.
His vision is starting to clear now, and he is beginning to adjust to the darkness.
A face starts to take shape before him. A real face, painfully human.
“Okay?” Hob asks.
(The Sandman, but things go a bit differently. A pigeon flies in front of a car several years early. Hob Gadling happens to be in the right place at the right time. The Dreaming doesn't let its master back in, for whatever reason.
Basically, I rewrite the whole story from the orb escape onwards.Wish me luck.)

Summary
Hob Gadling is cursed, has been since birth. He sees demons and monsters and lives a life alone on the road. But when he fucks up a deal with the Devil King Lucifer herself, he ends up paying the price for it and somehow everything gets much worse.
Now he's forced to live a life of immortality and all supernatural creatures are attracted to his blood. Hundreds of years later, everything comes to a head when the reason he fucked up comes back to haunt him looking just as attractive as he did the first day they met.

Summary
"I am willing to...pay...rent," Dream says, each successive word loaded with more uncertainty, until his voice has actually risen on the word 'rent.' Not quite a question, but as near to it as Dream is likely to get in this situation, which is rapidly becoming desperately uncomfortable (for Dream) and confusing (for Hob).
"Do you know how money works?" is the first question that pops out of Hob's mouth.
After making an ill-advised bet with his sister, Dream of the Endless is rendered completely human for one year. In need of a place to stay he turns to Hob, unaware that his oldest friend has been holding a torch for him for the past several centuries. Human experiences! Living life to the fullest! Overcoming depression! Food trucks!
It's going to be a long year.

War has ravaged the land, the gods are powerless, humans and demons becoming more and more similar. One young human may hold the key to peace, Prince Hob Gadling, though he is cursed with the hatred of a dying god, he is determined to never lose his hope.
And then, he meets the god prince, the pale man with the blue eyes, mouth smeared with blood.
