Gimli nodded. "They do not come back," he said, and understanding began to dawn.
"No," said Legolas. "No, they do not." Another long, waiting silence fell; again, it was Legolas who broke it, asking very quietly, "Do dwarves?"

Summary
Fifteen years have passed since Aziraphale returned to Heaven, and still sometimes Crowley feels shell shocked and embarrassed and grief-stricken. And mostly, he still feels numb. Fifteen years isn’t really so long, in the grand scheme of things, and yet these have somehow been the longest years of his existence. He can almost feel time crawling by, laughing at him.
But slowly, so slowly, Crowley began to try again. To try harder. To find a piece of himself that Aziraphale had not touched. To find a piece of himself that does not need changing.
On his good days, he can open up. His friends come over to the flat, once in a while, and Maggie brings new records and Muriel brings burnt cookies that no-one complains about because they're so proud of them. They'll exchange stories and simply enjoy each other's company for a few hours.
And sometimes, he feels almost alright.
Until Crowley turns around and Aziraphale is there, standing in front of him, trying to stop the world from ending all over again.

Summary
In many, many universes, Maximilian Veers is bestowed the title Hero of Hoth by the Empire for his very successful campaign and destruction of Echo Base. He is injured during the battle and spends days recovering, but he does recover to be trotted out in front of reporters and journalists for millions of interviews. He looks stonier and stonier after every new one.
In a few other universes, Maximilian Veers is not the one who leads the assault on Echo Base. There are worlds where Bail Organa does it, ones where Madine gives the order to destroy the shield generators, ones where Han Solo tells Vader that he may start his descent. There are ones where the base is slagged from orbit, others where it is never discovered at all.
In this particular universe, the base on Hoth is discovered and Maximilian Veers is the one to lead the assault. In those respects, it is not remarkable.
This universe is notable among all the others in the multiverse because in this one, Maximilian Veers earns himself the sobriquet the Martyr of Hoth.

Summary
We rejoin our favorite Engineer three days after our adventure on Imperial Center, caught up on the backlog of work and ready to continue his crusade to improve the tech aboard the Lady one piece at a time.
A dire accident puts a halt to that plan, and before the dust has even settled, Luke is rushed to medical under dire circumstances, Darth Vader is besides himself with worry, and Firmus Piett never asked for any of this. Unfortunately, the later two will have to make quick work of the investigation, as shadowy entities creep closer with dark designs, revealing that the accident may not have been that accidental.
Sabotage, treason, and mystery. A deadly cocktail that will have bodies hitting the floor as the search for the traitors tears through the Lady like a witchhunt. No one commits treason aboard the Lady and gets away with it, and with the young engineer injured, the crew finally shows their true colors.
All the while Luke has to recover from this tragedy, and learn to live without that which cannot be replaced. But Vader is there for him, and through all the pain and grief, something may yet grow from this as bonds grow stronger and deeper.
And in the background, something ancient stirs.

Napoleon seeks to take over Europe and Britain will stop him if she can. She seeks to show him that Britannia rules the waves indeed, and the might of her navy will overcome this usuper.
Our story focuses around a newly commissioned post Captain who must defeat not only the French, but also the class prejudice of the time and a very oppressive Admiral. We follow Firmus Piett as he joins the Devastator and seeks to survive vice Admiral Ozzel while hunting the French fleet.
Along the way, he discovers an unlikely friendship with a Marine Colonel, and makes the acquaintance of the famous Skywalker family. Thrawn steps forward to rest a hand along the curve of Erso’s throat, the pulse of his blood invigorating, the skin above it glowing with years of fresh food and hygiene prior to this entanglement. Against the recycled air of the ship, the primal scents of his exhaustion and fear are delicious to Thrawn’s senses.
“Release him. You are dismissed.”
The Death Troopers behind Erso salute and exit, leaving them in relative isolation inside the hangar bay as the transport ship departs. Erso mouths at his own flaking lips, a sweetly mindless gesture that sends a thrill through Thrawn. He slips his hand downwards behind Erso’s back, unclasping the binders easily.
“Welcome aboard the Chimaera, my dear Dr. Erso.”
Galen survives Eadu. Thrawn has plans.
