The first time Frank meets Clint Barton, they damn near get into a stupid, shitty brawl in the hallway.
It’s not the last time he almost fights Barton, although it is, objectively, the time he would’ve won by the widest margin. Barton’s in a t-shirt and sweatpants when he answers the door, looks barely nineteen, has soft hair and a soft mouth and soft, thoughtful eyes. Frank’s two tours into a career of them, and whatever softness he used to have got desiccated out of him years ago.

Wilson chuckles. “The first time I met Buck—Sergeant Barnes—he ripped the steering wheel out of the car I was driving on the freeway. He got on the roof, punched through the windshield, pulled the steering wheel off. Just like that.” He mimes with his hands as he describes it.
This doesn’t sound like an auspicious beginning to me, but Wilson is laughing.

Summary
Every moment from the day of their engagement until that moment had been nothing less than overwhelming. Clint hadn’t cared what kind of wedding they had; he would have been happy to bounce on down to the courthouse with Bucky, followed by beer and pizza. However, the team (read: Tony) wouldn’t hear of such a thing. In the end, Clint supposed, it would be worth it. Bucky had been talking about the colors, and the music, the flowers, and the food with increased giddiness over the last few weeks, and Clint would have sacrificed a limb to be able to give Bucky anything he wanted.
