    Now, for as antisocial and socially inept as Bakugou is, he knows who Kirishima Eijiro is, everyone does. Kirishima is the school’s golden boy. Captain of the football team. He’s sickeningly friendly and, somehow, becomes friends with literally everyone he talks to. He has a sharp tooth smile that lights up every room he’s ever been in (Not that Bakugou noticed), and always wore that stupid letterman jacket over either a muscle tee or nothing at all (Not that Bakugou stared). He had this loud ass laugh that is impossible to ignore, (Bakugou knows, he tries) and bright as fuck, red hair that he spikes up, if he’s not wearing a snapback (Not that Bakugou has ever paid that much attention to it, or how soft it looks).

    "Fuck!"

    Bakugou Katsuki is UA's resident delinquent who secretly maintains a 4.0 GPA. Kirishima Eijirou is UA's star quarterback who is failing multiple classes. When Aizawa offers Bakugou extra credit to tutor him, he can't say no, not when this is his opportunity to steal the number one spot in the class. There's no way this can go wrong.

    Eijirou didn’t really know if what he was doing right now could be considered heroic or manly, but there he was, hiding in his room, the only sounds breaking the still silence being his pitiful sniffling. He hadn’t cried, but he had wanted to, and the unshed tears still ached in his chest. He was just being so stupid about this; his problem today didn’t deserve his tears.

    So what if some girl liked Bakugou?

    It wasn’t like Bakugou would like her back . . . right?

    Being second was fine. 

    No, really. Kirishima didn't mind too much, he was used to it. He never really liked standing out. In middle school, he tried to be more outgoing, but there was nothing too special about dark black hair and a not-so-flashy hardening quirk. With the extensive amount of effort he put in, Kirishima even managed to place second during the U.A. entrance exam, and that was more than enough for him. Changing himself didn’t work either because even with red hair and a new persona, it wasn't like he suddenly became number one. 

    That spot belonged to Bakugou. Confident, brash, explosive. The boy who glowed so brightly to him. First at the entrance exam. First in the sports festival. First in everything. 

    Especially to Kirishima.
