The world also has no necromancers and no mummies. I don't like how almost every generated world gets overrun by undead by the year 400. I still allowed vampires and werewolves though.
The kingdom is called The Bridge of Hair (Sazir Razes in dwarvish).

The Spider was unperturbed. "Mortal creature, thou hast asked thrice for leave to rest thyself in My chambers. Thou hast brought Me meat in return. I accept thy bargain, and it will hold. Thou mayest bring Me meat, and in exchange thou wilt have thy rest in My chambers in safety. No Orc nor Man shall trouble thee here. I do not desire thy flesh, for thine own flesh is sour and desiccated. But if thou dost not give unto Me with both hands, thy life will be forfeit and thy head I will dash upon the rocks."
Now it was clear that she did not want the Precious, but something older and bigger was going on than Gollum ought to be dealing with. He screamed again and it was some time before he left off screaming. The Spider did not seem to care.

Summary
A what-if "Everyone Lives" LOTR AU. By "everyone", I mean "everyone", and by "everyone", I mean this series is focused around Gollum in an unlikely universe where he manages to help destroy the Ring without dying and, subsequently, becomes everyone else's problem, but in a very different way than he was a problem before. I read Gandalf's line "I have not much hope that Gollum can be cured before he dies, but there is a chance of it" in FOTR, and started to wonder what on Earth you'd do with a friendly version of Gollum, assuming his extreme eccentricities and special requirements for darkness and raw meat would not just go away. I couldn't find much other fic about this question so I wrote this, and I grew to enjoy Sméagol's odd psychology in the process so I kept going for longer than I'd intended. I do hope you enjoy!
Boromir and Bilbo are here too! Now featuring also Gríma Wormtongue (in a oneshot)!
Please note that this is all book-based, not movie-based, and these stories lean heavily on book events that either weren't in the movies at all or were very different.

Gollum stepped out into the street behind them. "There was no monster," he said shrilly, "no! No, no- don't talk about things you know nothing about- it is silly! Foolish!"
"I'm sorry?" one of the teens said, turning to blink at him, and another said: "Who are you?"
Gollum had no answer. How could he answer? What would he say? He squirmed, and said gollum in his throat, and turned on his heel to scurry away.
