The wrath he felt when Aventurine told his role in Penacony, the guilty he felt when he was forced to betray him, the regret he felt when he looked into Aventurine’s eyes when he gave him the note, the hollow he felt when he saw Aventurine tainted by the red slash and the relief he felt when he saw Aventurine’s message telling him that he won. As always.
The only possible conclusion for Ratio was that he is completely fuck up. Because he was absolutely in love with Aventurine of Stratagems."
Ratio was avoiding Aventurine for a long time just because, after Penacony events, he couldn´t deny his feelings anymore and he needs time to process it and most importantly, confess to him without making Aventurine run away.

Summary
He is filled with a sudden surge of déjà vu, and cannot help but feel that he has been here before, on the receiving end of such a sharp, knowing gaze. And Aventurine realizes with a start as he takes note of the boy’s appearance – the amber eyes, the violet hair, the codex in his hands that fits in perfectly with the whites and blues and golds that he is so familiar with – that he has. Suddenly, it all clicks into place.
Oh.
Oh great Goddess above.
In which Aventurine runs into a younger Ratio while in the Dreamscape. It goes about as well as you could imagine.

Summary
There is an inexplicable draw to Veritas Ratio, even as little as Aventurine actually knows about him, something beyond whatever surface level attraction there was to begin with. It’s not so ridiculous—Veritas is attractive, seems to be interested in Aventurine, and inexplicably was able to drop everything to run his mothers’ florist business for three months. That kind of person is fascinating, objectively, and unique things have always caught Aventurine’s attention.
He can’t remember the last time he looked at someone and thought, I think I want to date you, but that’s enough of an anomaly to make Veritas someone worth learning more about.

Summary
A stranger stared down at him with a look of concern, soaked blonde hair cascading down across the man’s face, longer strands brushing lightly against Ratio’s cheek from how close he was.
Those piercing inhuman eyes of magenta and blue surfaced a fuzzy memory. Ratio remembers being tossed about in the current's turmoil, unable to pull himself above the waves. Then suddenly, holding him firmly was a man with the most beautiful eyes he had ever seen. In that moment he thought that if the angel who had come to take him away at the end of his life was this beautiful, he wouldn’t mind it being the last sight he ever sees.
In which Ratio is saved by a merman, and he needs to know more about his mysterious savior.
