Summary
She’s unconsciously rolling on the balls of her feet, clearly restraining herself waiting for his request. He’s tempted to draw this out, to see how far he can push the limits of her patience, but tonight is not the time.
“I’m not his.”
A quiet exhale - had she been afraid of what he would say? An interminable pause as he watches her chest rise and fall, quicker now in spite of her ironclad control.
“I’m yours.”
A groan, this time, and his pulse races with pleasure as she steps back into the cradle of his legs, bare knees against his breeches. She places a hand on either side of his face, tipping him backwards, then waits.
“I need you to take him from me. Please.”
Astarion is tired of looking at the poorly healed bite mark, and wants Tav to take it away.

Summary
“You’re the one who killed me,” she says.
For one pounding moment, he wants to flee. He thinks she is saying this to punish him, to remind him of the worst failing in a long line of failures. He wants to bury himself back in a dank crypt, where no one will ever find him, no one will even bother to look. But her hands squeeze on either side of his face, and the tone of her voice filters through. You’re the one who killed me, not an admonishment, not a rebuke, but… a blessing? There’s awe there, like her death is a gift he had given her, like bringing her back afterwards was secondary to the act of draining it from her in the first place. He thinks wildly back to the way he had felt that she was granting something to the loathsome priest, but she had never allowed the priest to gain anything she had not put forth freely. No fear, no real pleasure even because,
He was the one who killed her.

Summary
The woes of having a visibly younger partner—one who’d been diligently schooled in a foreign country, was fluent in no less than four languages, and in an overwhelming gesture of sincerity had publicized the evidence that brought down his own father and given Lee Dongsik back his life—was that the locals gossiped about them incessantly.

Summary
Juwon breaks himself apart and puts himself back together, then he returns to Manyang thinking he’s found his way home. In part, it’s true. He’s just wrong about one thing—home doesn’t have to be a place. Sometimes, it can exist in a person. And it’s unfortunate, because Dongsik starts feeling a lot like home.

Summary
"The evidence of the cold was painted red across Dongsik's cheeks and hung in the woodsmoke scent on his skin. It made Juwon feel pleasantly slow and dazed, and for a moment, he simply stared, saying nothing. Thinking nothing. He'd been trying to think more of nothing these days. It wasn't going very well."
OR: Dongsik is sweet to sleepy Juwon. Juwon's an antagonistic idiot to sleepy Dongsik.
