Bradley moved closer with a Coke in one hand, straw tucked between his lips, seemingly hungry and tired today, with a slump in his shoulders as he mumbled a soft thanks in Benson’s direction.
He unfolded the burger quickly, plopping the top bun aside, exposing the perfect little wet pocket where Benson’s spit had sodden the skin. It looked normal, possibly moist from where it had been cooling on the counter.
Yawning, Bradley didn’t seem to notice. Benson hoped he could see a little slip of milky white skin around his belt when he reached up onto the prep shelf and grabbed a bottle of ketchup, but his uniform was probably two sizes too big for him. Such a fucking waste.
Bradley poured the ketchup across the chicken and shoved the bun back in place, and then he took a big bite.
