Summary
Keith picked up the pair of scissors from the edge of the sink and sighed. It was just stupid hair, right? Just stuff that grew on the top of his head to keep him warm. He only had a ‘mullet’ because he didn’t care about what his hair looked like, after all. Keith wasn’t Lance; he wasn’t vain. He didn’t care what people thought of him or his looks. Maybe Lance would stop complaining if he finally cut it. Determined, he raised the scissors, sliding their open blades along his hairline, close to the scalp. He took a breath and closed his eyes.
After a routine distress call goes wrong, Keith's fabled mullet is finally ruined. With no other options, Keith decides to chop it all off. Lance, surprisingly, objects and offers to help.

“I will have absolute silence while Lance is taking his test. Go sit at your desks and stay quiet. If you’re good, I’ll give you a sticker when we dismiss.”

Summary

Summary
“No, it’s not that –” Keith tries to backtrack. “We just – we –” he isn’t sure what he’s going to say, he just knows he has to say something before he and Lance are forced to have sex with some weird alien species, while also keeping the weird alien king happy enough to create an alliance with them.
But not for the first time and not for the last, Lance pulls through.
Of course, this time pulling through almost gives Keith a heart attack, because Lance slips his fingers through Keith’s so that they’re holding hands.
“What Keith here means to say,” Lance says, and although his voice is steady, he is gripping Keith’s fingers so tightly it’s painful. “Is that we can’t mate with your people, although we, um, appreciate the offer, because, well. We already are. M-mated, I mean. With, you know. Each other.”
