Even with the muzzle on, it was enough to make everyone pause, including Operative C, because it wasn't a vengeful cry from a ghost or a poor mimicry of human emotion; it was the sound of a child in excruciating pain.
It was enough to flip the switch in Maddie between her head and her heart.
Maddie and Jack are over the moon when the GIW invite them to witness the vivisection of the one and only Danny Phantom, but once it's actually happening, they are hit with the realization that there may be a lot more to ghosts than they always believed there to be. Parental instincts taking over, they decide to do the only thing that feels right: rescue the ghost boy, take him home and nurture him back to health. Needless to say, it results in a few more surprises.

Summary
A collection for my rewrite of BOTW to retell the events of the story if Link had been a Lynel. I am NOT the first creator to explore this idea. There are plenty of writers and artists who have wondered the same. This is my own interpretation and thoughts on how that would go.
I have a lot planned so we'll see how it goes!
Link is a GNC genderless girl who is indifferent to gendering. He's okay with any terms and gendering. Lynels don't have much concern over gender and neither does Link.

Every dodge, jump, and lunge causes his golden hair to flow about him, haloing him as if he were some divine fierce deity.
Link was ethereal.
And Sidon was captivated.
