Fresh off her stint being (willingly, to be fair) imprisoned by Scott (technically all the X-Men, but it was his decision that mattered) for almost sorta kinda (yes, too close for even her own comfort) unleashing eldritch gods upon the worlds, Illyana Rasputin (Rasputina, if you were being pedantic about Russian naming conventions. She wasn’t a pedant, but she did like to be annoying.) decided she needed something different. The problem was, a diploma from Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters plus a decade or so on teams and war captaining for a sovereign mutant state didn’t make the best resume.
Emma’s idea? Study under the Sorcerer Supreme.
