Chick Hicks is the “villain,” of the racing world. He has been for many years. But not by choice. He did it because it’s the role his team wanted him to play. The villainous traits would be a good contrast against Strip’s noble ones, and it would make for a good rivalry, they said.
Since his team told him to listen or be fired, Chick listened to his team and wore the mask.
But how long can you wear a mask before it becomes your true nature?
