Summary

From the moment Yamaguchi Tadashi first drew sharpened steel he knew death was an honorable end. He never expected to be the last man standing of his clan before he even came of age. With no where left to turn and uncertain what he has left to live for—Tadashi jumps at the chance to swear his life and his blade to the service of his lord’s youngest son.

Yamaguchi Tadashi's life is very nearly perfect. He's gotten his college degree, has a good paying job, and most importantly—an incredible girlfriend. No, really, he has nothing to complain about. Unless he considers the fact that he and Tsukki aren't so close as they used to be. Not that he can change that, not really. Friends drift. You can't always control that path. At least that was what he thought—until he slips, falls, and wakes up in the wrong universe and things between him and Tsukki are very, very, different.

Tsukishima Kei never had the misconception that he was normal. His diet, and the secrets his family kept were just one more facet of his life—and it wasn’t like he had anyone to share that with. At least until he gets bored enough to find a friend.
Yamaguchi Tadashi hates being afraid. He’s small enough to avoid most problems, and the bullies he faces at school are nothing to the bully that lives at home. He wants nothing more than to prove himself, and maybe making friends with the one boy who seems to hate everyone else is the way to do it.

Summary
Yamaguchi was far less nervous in practice than any games, and he’d gotten far more skilled at serving in a few short months, so Tsukishima was utterly unprepared for the feeling of a volleyball slamming into the back of his head.
There was a beat of silence.
The ball had enough of an angle to bounce off his head and over to the other side of the net, landing neatly in front of a stunned Sugawara.
(( or: Ennoshita plots for the future, Suga wants to mess around and is intent on dragging everyone down to his level, Noya tries to become a spiker, Kiyoko is a good senpai, Yamaguchi cries, and Tsukishima wonders if he's been dropped off in the Twilight Zone without his notice ))

Ahhhh Tsukki was soooo Tsukki in this one. Low empathy characters are good. Also the team dynamic was excellent like wow. A delight. Only complaint is that I have no idea if the tsukkiyama is established or if it’s not yet voiced?
