“Why are you asking me how she’s doing?” Faith places her steak knife down on the scalloped edge of the plate. A few months ago, a serrated knife in Faith MacCaullay’s hand would have made him nervous. Now, at least, he’s fairly certain she wouldn’t stab him in public. “You have cameras all over the resort. You have her credit card statements. You pay for her body guard, you pay for her driver, you pay for her doctors, she lives in your house.”
One of six. It hardly counts.
“Sure. But I don’t speak to her.” Titus takes a sip of his wine. He hadn’t ordered the bottle strictly due to its price; that’s Faith’s modus operandi. He simply has taste. “You do.”

Fisk’s voice cut through the night, low and thunderous.
“What,” he said, “have you done?”
Matt tilted his head toward the sound, grin widening.
“Oh, Wilson,” he said lightly. “I haven’t done anything.”
Fisk’s jaw tightened. His pulse spiked—just slightly. Anger, yes, but under it… confusion.
Matt shifted his stance and placed a hand over his stomach.
“This,” he said, giving a small, deliberate gesture, “was your wife’s idea.”
Silence slammed down harder than any gunshot.
Vanessa’s name always did that to Fisk.
“What,” Fisk repeated, slower now, more dangerous, “are you talking about?”

Summary
After following a hunch that leads to a physical encounter with Fisk in Riker's prison, Matt finds out that he is pregnant. Despite it being Wilson Fisk's child, Matt decides to keep the baby and now is faced with the monstrous challenges of pregnancy, parenthood, and protecting his family from Fisk's crosshairs.
[OR a rewrite of the S2x10 prison scene, resulting in Matt carrying Fisk's child in the gap between S2 and the Defenders. Matt finds support in his friends as he rebuilds the relationships he destroyed in S2, and his city that raised him, while he explores what pregnancy holds for his already very complicated life.]

Dana’s arched eyebrow ticked up a centimeter higher as she squinted at Emma for a long moment.
Abruptly anxious beneath her scrutiny, Emma reached for her waist to fidget with something, only to remember the charge nurse had plucked most of her belongings from her pockets on arrival. She settled with flicking her name badge between her fingers.
“Kid, are you younger than this coffee maker?”
