If Andrew had been carved from marble, he might have been livelier. Every inch of him now is stone, from the hard set of his jaw to the tension bunching in his thighs.
"I'm right, aren't I?" Aaron continues. There's something dangerous in him, howling down every synapse and nerve fiber until he's shaking with it. He doesn't have it in him to leash it; not today, not freshly off the high of a potential future built on want and not binding contracts. "You can't stand that you're not in control anymore, that we might not need you."
"You don't need me," Andrew says, voice gravel.
"Isn't it enough to want you?" Andrew's eyes go wide, but Aaron isn't finished. "Jesus, don't you get it? It's enough for your pet striker, so why can't it be enough for your own goddamn brother?"

Summary
The most interesting person is by far, as per usual, the man sequestered in a corner booth. He’s more metal than man, and the tech he wears looks far too expensive to be sitting in a mid-city shop day after day. Several ports line each side of his nape—Bakugou has done his best to banish curiosity about their purposes. Around them, winding down below his collarbones, rests a mess of black and purple ink that doesn’t seem to have any specific shape.
Bakugou hates him on principle.
Mech heads are a blight. He isn’t against cybernetics as a whole, nor is he a stranger to the thrill of changing one’s shape to suit a need. His right arm is Commission-grade tech; his organic tissue, carved to perfection through careful work and a surgeon’s knife. But he’s stopped there, unlike the droidfuckers so desperate to replace man with machine that they’ll pay the price of life and limb.
