Summary
Kibeth had expected to wake to guard an infant Queen, one born of the Clayr and recognized by them for what she was. Lirael was not that in any way. The Clayr should still have recognized what she was, but they had not.
Lirael had not summoned Kibeth even a day too soon. The girl had probably been a darling toddler who could have been persuaded into all kinds of mischief, but, by the time Kibeth woke, Lirael had deep scars from throwing herself repeatedly at a closed door through which she could never pass.
As if Lirael stood at a crossroad with dozens of possible ways forward but could only see that one option.

Summary
Vir hadn't expected to be sent to Babylon 5. He hadn't expected Londo Mollari or any of the other people he encountered there. Vir had hoped to have more time with his mother, possibly a small apartment somewhere paid for by a small civil service position, some place they could live together while he tried to coax her back to the present.
Babylon 5 was so far away from Centauri Prime that he knew he'd see her even less often than he had while he was at school.

"I wanted to see if the Talon would catch you." Jason's brother-- not exactly brother? --shrugged. "That might have tidied up the problem you pose. Also, Jason's reaction to seeing you-- or your corpse-- would have been interesting."
Tim was abruptly certain that he hadn't gotten lost. "If you wanted that, you could just have made it happen." He thought he managed not to make it a question.
Jason's brother shrugged. "That wouldn't have been fair to you."
Tim was certain that, whatever was going on, fair hadn't ever been a factor. He made himself start walking toward the promised shower. "Do you have a name?" he asked.
"Jason calls me the Guardian. It's as good a name as any, one I don't share with any other version of Dick Grayson." The Guardian paused for a moment. "With any other version of Dick Grayson that I have yet studied," he amended.

Summary
This series is a collection of canon divergent AUs that all start from something different happening after Luke trapped Merlin at the end of Trumps of Doom. Some of them also branch off from each other. Generally speaking, reading one doesn't require having read the others even if it's late in the sequence.
I may shift the numbering of stories within the series to reflect new stories with earlier branching/divergence points.
The list of stories and notes on how they fit together and diverge can be found here on DreamWidth. The list includes unposted WIP. I tried to avoid out and out spoilers, but my judgment on what constitutes a spoiler is suspect.

Peter Burke thought he was prepared for anything when he agreed to take Neal Caffrey on as his CI. Even the man turning out to be from Gotham wasn't a big problem; Peter was too, after all. However, the man's increasingly ridiculous explanations ending with "well, it's a Gotham thing" might... but, hey, at least Peter gets to use the same excuse now. If only Neal's excuses actually made sense— sure, Gothamites learn to fight young, but not long enough to take out a whole warehouse NEAL.

Neal huffs. "I'm telling the truth Peter. I don't know what else to tell you."
Peter snorts, and pulls up to June's house. "Maybe you should've chosen a handler who couldn't call you out on Gothamite bullshit."
Neal opens the door. "Maybe that's exactly why I chose you."
