Eren fell for her quicker than a drop of rain meeting the earth, not even the clouds above could stop his translucent zeal. It was faster than her ethereal fall from the sky in autumn, as steaming feathers harmlessly caressed her pursuer’s desperate face.
The collision was stronger than the shattering crystals of the Walls, striking the earth and destroying the flowerbeds below; more impactful than his hostile, hardened punch.
It just wasn’t enough to protect his memories of her.
