Summary
When they were kids, an awful truth became clear to Izuku: the world was neatly split between those blessed with good fortune and those cursed by the lack of it. People like Kacchan, scion to a fashion empire and modded from birth for the role he was meant to fill, were lucky—but people like Izuku, allergic to even the most basic neural implants, were trash just waiting to be discarded at the bottom of the heap, existing just long enough to prop up the glittering mirage of the floating city high above the smog down below.
Now, he's old enough to chafe against his designated place in the world, and clever enough to work his way around every barrier thrown up in his path, but Katsuki's still high above him in the neon-bright hub of the upper city. Or he should have been, at any rate. Because instead of being one of the haves, forever blessed by providence, Katsuki's a cooling corpse at the top of a garbage heap, tossed down into the lower wards like so much unwanted scrap. Izuku should leave him there—it's no better than he deserves—but he can't, and when he brings Katsuki home to do his best to fix him, he stumbles into a nightmarish web of deceit doing it's best to kill them both.

He's so pretty that Shinsou can't help but pull his (metaphorical) pigtails, and his temper is so ugly that he's certain he'd never stand a chance if he admitted that his feelings were sincere.
And then they get put on the same case, and everything goes to shit.

It’s the first time Katsuki’s told him that he loves him, and it’s the first time he thinks anyone he’s bothered to sleep with has called him perfect, as opposed to ‘neurotic’, ‘high strung’, or ‘too much’. Tenya wraps an arm around his waist, burying his other hand in Katsuki’s hair, and hums appreciation against his lips before finally saying, “It seemed like you had a hard day. I just wanted to make it a little better.”
“You did,” Katsuki tells him fervently, grinning wickedly as he finally drops flat on his feet again. “You really, really did. Lemme go, I’ve got dinner to make so you can woo the shit out of me after.”
He didn't expect loving Bakugo to be as easy as it is.

Summary
There’s five layers of fire breaks between the first fencing, enough space to take out any zombies that get through without worrying about the integrity of the fences being damaged by the collapse of the previous ones, and then at the final fencing the streets themselves get better. Without the ruin and wreckage of the outside, attempts at repairs have been made so the patrolling guards can duck under awnings and into cleaned out, empty buildings to get out of the rain. Some of them are designated storage, with painted signs to match, and some of them are emergency shelters for incoming survivors—but there’s been fewer and fewer of those recently.
The people that survived have either hunkered down in places like this one, or they’ve gotten off the main island. The people who didn’t still throng outside the blockades, shuffling and eternally hungry, never to escape again.
Katsuki gets off patrol, the way he has for years now. It's just not the kind of patrol he thought he'd be doing back when he was in school.

Summary
It's not that Aiden likes being alone, it's just safer—for him and everyone else he loves. And he certainly wasn't ever expecting to see Jordi again, not years after Chicago when everyone else in that mess was gone and dead. But now that he's run into him again, things don't quite go as planned. Somehow, they keep seeing each other, in a dozen different cities with excuses wearing thin from overuse, and he's not sure where he stands now.
It's not love. He won't call it that. There's just a certain kind of comfort in not being alone anymore—and if that comfort comes with Jordi, he's stopped caring about the other strings attached.

Summary
Izuku shifts under the covers - Katsuki can practically feel his unease. “We’re still -” his voice catches, “- we’re still Todoroki-kun’s friends, right?”
Katsuki groans - it’s too early for this many feelings. “How the fuck should I know?” he grumps, shoving his face deeper into the pillow. “Ask him yourself when he gets here tomorrow.”
He doesn’t realize his mistake until he feels the bed shift as Izuku sits up.
“Kacchan,” he says, voice dangerously low, “what do you mean ‘when he gets here tomorrow’?”
-or-
Todoroki returns to Musutafu after six years away and Katsuki’s tragic inability to let go of the past catches up to him in the worst, most irritating ways possible.
(Though he might at least get another boyfriend out of the matter. That’s a plus.)

Summary
Pro Hero Bakugou Katsuki is on his way... to the bottom. His ratings suck, his reputation sucks, and even his agency has it out for him. Katsuki can see rock-bottom coming, but he can do nothing but brace for the inevitable, painful impact.
Meanwhile, Midoriya Izuku hit rock bottom months ago. He's pulling himself back to his feet, working shitty jobs with shitty pay and just doing his best to eat most days. At least he's not in debt anymore, though. At least he has a roof over his head.
On Katsuki's way down and on Izuku's way up, they catch each other.

Or, after five years apart, Katsuki and Izuku meet again under equally humbling circumstances. Things improve from there.
