Phil wondered what kind of person painted all of the walls of their new shop black and how the rest of the shop would be decorated. Basically every surface of the shop was covered in moving boxes and Phil couldn’t quite figure out the vision of the space, he found himself assuming that whoever had moved in next to him was probably devastatingly cool, some kind of edgy hipster who Phil would have nothing in common with. Oh well, Phil thought, at least it’s not a Starbucks.
Throughout the rest of his evening, Phil kept catching himself imagining this painfully cool hipster and wishing that someone a little more like him had moved in next door. It would’ve been nice to meet someone down to earth, someone who Phil could spend time with, maybe order delivery and play video games with. Maybe even someone Phil could go on a date with…
