    "I, just, wanted to know whether you'd have liked me," he says, looking straight, dodging Andrew's gaze. "That if we had met somehow as kids, if I were in your peripheral, would you have liked me?" he huffs out a laugh. He sounds stupid even to his ears. "Would I have liked you?"
