His stranger doesn’t age. Hob has never seen him eat nor drink, nor step foot into the sun. He has always dressed as if he had just come from a wake, no matter the era. Add on top of that, the pale complexion, hypnotic eyes, and overall supernatural beauty—Hob thinks as far as theories go, it’s a pretty good one.

Summary
Sometimes it feels impossible to compare the Q described in Starfleet records to the one that pops on and off the ship at his own leisure. It really shouldn’t be, especially given that Jean-Luc has provided almost all the information, but reading Q’s description on paper is vastly different to enduring his presence.
For example, Q’s file now states that he is averse to touch with physical beings. Words that Jean-Luc himself wrote stare back at him from the screen, but he cannot bring himself to believe them.
Jean-Luc can recall a hundred casual touches: a mouth next to his temple, an arm around his shoulder, a finger tracing his ear, a hand reaching for his across his desk. These were not the behaviours of a touch-averse creature.

Summary
He’s just tipsy enough that it seems like a good idea to be standing outside of Garak’s quarters in the middle of the night, leaning on the buzzer and seriously considering using his medical override. (It would be tremendously unethical, obviously, and would probably get him booted from Starfleet besides, but considering where he is and when, it’s safe to say that his judgment isn’t quite sound.)

"Captain Sisko wanted to see me," Garak said—which was so conspicuous a refusal to answer the question Julian had asked that it almost didn't qualify as an evasion. He pulled out the chair opposite Julian, and sat.
"Captain Sisko? Why?"
"Well, apparently," Garak said, "Cardassia has lodged a formal request with the Federation for my extradition."
(Or: Garak has a problem. Julian marries him to fix it. Except that means Julian also has a problem, albeit of a very different kind.)
