Summary
Lee Sangwon’s trainee life is spent on curating on one thing: an aura. Quiet, cold, untouchable. On Boys Planet 2, he’s the mysterious guy, with the perfect looks, sharp dance lines, never caught slipping. But no one knows he’s hopelessly, astronomically down bad for Zhou An Xin. An Xin, who is loud and sparkly, always throwing an arm around Sangwon like they’re already dating.
To cope, Sangwon keeps a secret notebook: 99 Reasons Why I Shouldn’t Fall for Zhou An Xin. Filled with silly stuff like “he talks with his mouth full” and “need to focus on debut.” But it’s really a silent scream for help. One night, the notebook falls from his bunk. An Xin finds it. An Xin finds it, grinning like he won the lottery.
Then, the MNET Pepero Challenge. The stick breaks early. Their lips touch. On camera. Sangwon stays deadpan while An Xin wheezes, ears burning... but something shifts. Back at the dorm, when cameras are off, the teasing softens.
“That was really your first kiss?” An Xin whispers.
“You didn’t move away,” Sangwon says, eyes down.
“Maybe I liked it more than I should’ve,” An Xin says. “So… what if we tried again? For real?”

Sangwon’s pulse hammers so loud that he worries the staff will be able to hear it at the announcement.
On paper, Sangwon is an Alpha. HYBE made sure of that when they added him to Trainee A, their doomed all-Alpha predebut project. Every document says he presented Alpha. It had been a logical guess, both of his parents were Alphas, but somewhere along the line a dormant gene had been passed along.
