The whole spiel begins on Valentine’s day.
Yosuke had, much to his own demise, been hopelessly pining for his partner since the first time he called him by that totally innocuous nickname, and in a bout of determination, decided that Valentine’s day would be the day of reckoning - where he’d finally confess his feelings, they’d kiss, get married, and live happily ever after, or something along those lines.
