Anything else was a waste of time. And there was so little of that.

Summary
Harry Potter is being ignored by everyone who’s supposed to care, takes a fall off a ladder and wakes up in a hospital. With nowhere left to go and a deep mistrust of adult intervention, he escapes to London for a night where things, naturally, get worse. He’s got no plan, a bruised skull, and a wand he’s not allowed to use. What he does get is Severus Snape, pressed into reluctant babysitter duty by Dumbledore himself.

its REALLY hard to find severitus fics where Harry’s abuse and trauma from Dursleys’ isn’t revealed in like ~3 chapters. (sometimes they do that in the first…) I love this fic because, finally, someone takes the time to slowly piece Harry’s unusual, unhealthy habits to make the reveal so much more enjoyable. Love how canon Snape and Harry seem in the fic, just absolute peak writing!
P.S. Sometimes i like to pretend it’s snarry… sorry but like the tension between them gets uhhh really heated later into the fic. yea, omg who said thay??? -

Summary
A short-lived series of private lessons took place after Christmas in Harry Potter's fifth school year, during which Severus Snape attempted to teach Harry the skill of Occlumency. The lessons were ultimately cancelled when Harry was caught prying into Snape's memories, discovering the strangest things: A mysterious prophecy connected Harry's fate with Voldemort's, Harry's dad was an insufferable bully, and Severus Snape had been in love with Harry's mum. Naturally, Harry now has a million questions. Snape would prefer to answer none.
The world is full of obvious things which nobody by any chance ever observes. The same question arises in every soul: "For what, for whom, must I kill and be killed?"
...Or, a classic approach to stubbornness.

This is hands down the closest to canon a Snarry fic can get. The dynamic was absolutely disgusting…it was executed so well that I wouldn’t stop reading even if I wanted to. I had to stop so many times to consider my sanity, still i would go back every time. Absolute PEAK…🤤
(i would recommend this fic so much if everyone wasnt so mad sensitive about age gaps and snarry in general💔)
